I had to host another! 
For this contest, you have to write something inspired by one of the following pictures.
No more than 24 lines.
Rhyme or free verse, rhyming preferred.
One entry per person.
Please specify which photo was your inspiration. 
Closes February 7th.

Goodnight
A face....so filmiluar,
He haunts my dreams,
My thoughts,
My head.
He makes me feel so dead....
A joker on a card,
A puppetmaster,
He pulls my strings,
Until they break.
Oh how I wish I could escape...
A face...so filmiluar,
He haunts my dreams,
He has me in his grasp,
Turn off the light,
And say good-night.
It's not great, but that's how it goes! _________________

Insomnia
At times I lie awake
As thoughts ensnare my mind
Declaring each mistake
Of moments left behind
In screams the phantoms see
A fathomless despair
Of doors without a key
Engraved with nothing there
An altar born of tears
That drowns another path
In gawking twisted fears
Of warped empiric wrath
Instilling illusions
Foretelling things to come
In hopeful delusions
Beneath another one
As shadows claim delight
And mists follow the streams
The whispers echo night
Of pulpits holding dreams...

I wonder why both of us thought about dreaming and sleep (well in my case not dreaming and not sleeping) when we saw that picture. Kinda weird hehe

Picture #2...
Dark black eyes, reflecting the light of the moon,
What secret could she be hiding?
Her sparkling sky blue wings, adding a faerish grace.
Where have all the others gone?
The flitting, floating faeries?
Is this the secret her moonlit eyes hide?
Could this be the mystery she holds?
With a half a smile, she beckons me nearer,
Hesitant, yet curious, I cautiously follow her.
Through tree and bush, over hill and dale.
Where are they? Where have the faeries gone?
To a starlit glade we finally come,
And there my faerie-friend stops.
A soft whistle sounds through the night,
Suddenly the sky is filled with floating, flitting faeries.
There they are, my search is over,
I watch, amazed, as faeries dance across the sky,
Glittering, graceful, faeries, dancing in the moonlight.
Then quickly, they are gone,
And I am alone once more.

Magical.
It almost seems...Impossible.
Hard to believe, is this just
make-believe?
A Fairy tale world in which
you roam. Freely roam.
Not a care surpassing you.
Sewn into Beauty,
this is what it really means.
Dark eyes searching, helpless...
in need.
Wings all a bright, fluttering flittering,
smiling, laughing, so Joyous.
Pale purple skin,
bright like moonlight.
Moonlit night, shed at your sight.
Hard to believe, I must take
this in. So hard..almost cannot breathe.
Breath escaping, my heart to
shatter. So Majestic.
This is Purpose.
This is reality.
So Real.

I dont think it has a chance...
