Aww I love you Ellie, you are so foreseeing! I have never had any problems with this before, but now you bring up the issue, I can certainly see the problem.
I'm not meaning to sound overly sarcastic, your post actually made me laugh, and that's meant as a compliment!

It is a possibility as when we do lists, it does get in the way.......
Maybe 8-) to be more logical?

The way I translate kit's post, she says, it'd be possible to change the smiley code, however, she is not able to do it, and also Arwen should do it since she is the master of the smilies (note: my interpretation), but she supports the idea and agrees it would be good to change it...
And then she might suggest another shortcut... which happend to be the same as it already is...? [insert confused smiley]

Depends on if Arwen's available because she's been really busy recently.
Well ---- I tried to put 8-) but apparently it still triggers as the smilie, so maybe we can only put 8-) for the code and not 8)?

I believe a thing like codes really does need to go past Arweb. It just doesn't seem right to change a code in her forum.
So we'll see what she says.
lol! You know, I've never really thought about it, 'cause apart from the smilie or I usually just open the emoticon panel and clickue!

We really don't have a smiley with that code? [insert surprised smiley]
Well, fine with me, but you better get the final approval from the guy-who-raised-the-topic!

Please please please. You would not believe the number of times I've tried to get that 8) with ""
Oh yeah. While we're changing smiles would it be possible to change this one :lightsabre: to ":lightsaber:" or ":jedi:"? I can never remember that it's spelled weirdly ("lightsabre" instead of "lightsaber") when I want it.
Just a pet peeve.

Hehe.. didn't know smilies could cause such an issue. However, that's not exactly why I'm here.
Our posts are back! [The WT people's I mean]. Thankies Arwen!

I wouldn't say it's an <i>issue</i> but it's just a glitch we might as well get out of the way.

:notworthy: I think 'notworthy' would be better as 'bow' ... *coughcough*

But if you change all the names, you shall utterly confuzzle people like me who have been typing 'notworthy' and 'lightsabre' for all of eternity. It's like trying to teach an old dog new tricks. Doesn't work too well sometimes. I think the funky names are what make them all the more awesome, too. For me, something weird like 'notworthy' is actually easier to remember because it's not the first thing you'd expect. If you start changing them up, you will get a very, very confuzzled PotR.
