Gilraen Ringeril, Thanks for posting that link to that Lost site. I went and spent a little time on it and I must admitt that I was impressed by the information that they had on the characters that they had information on. However sadly I couldn't find anything on Rachel...I guess I might find out in due time. Nothing for me to fret over now I suppose...if it's something really important they'll re-inform or maybe it's just inform us latter. lol
In honesty I really spent the time on the Sawyer page...he's won me over! He's my favorite character so far by far. I love his back story, how they are having him behave for the time being, and I am very excited to see what's next for this character. Any other Sawyer fans here?
As for Sawyer and Kate...I don't know why but I didn't see any reason to like Kate. Plus judging from what I've seen of the two of them, together so far...bleh...he deserves somebody better. Well, in my eyes at least...somebody who could Eventually (maybe not for awhile...let him be a bit of bad boy for a little while longer ) I'm not sure what girl I would put him with but I don't think that I like him with Kate..
As for whether or not Alex is really Ben's daughter...my vote is still out. If I had to say right this very minute I would say that yes she is his daughter just because of the simple fact that everyone else thinks that she's not. I mean if it were that easy to guess that somebody there wasn't telling the truth...maybe it's too easy. However I could be totally wrong on this and I really as I said am new to this whole prime time shows and Lost thing...so I'm just grapsing at straws for a guess on this.
Um on a different note...I really really hope that Charlie is in the next episode. I want to see if I like Charlie or not. Seeing as he's what drawed me into watching it for the first time last night. Then he's not even on that episode. Sawyer is my favorite too! And Jack. And Kate.
Personally, I think Kate and Sawyer are perfect for each other because they each have a 'bad past' _________________

I like Kate as well, and they are well matched.
Charlie? Hmm...series 21 he was good, but series 2...he was sooo annoying, always whinging about this and that, and now he's just...argh...I've gone right off him...

Ben and Juliet
Was in a serious relationship (possibly marriage) with Ben but the relationship failed. They seem to have a history together and obviously have some issues.
This is a very probable theory due to a recent issue of TV Guide in which Michael Emerson stated that his wife would be introduced early on in the season.
Ben is mentioned during the book club scene as being a "host" for the book club that session; Juliet also claims to be a host, leading to the suspicion that Ben either lives there or used to live there, with Juliet.
After the book club scene and the plane crash, Ben sees Juliet holding Stephen King's Carrie and deadpans, "So I guess I'm out of the bookclub." This implies that Juliet did not tell Ben that she was holding bookclub and that their breakup occurred very recently.
Ben's apathy towards Juliet when Jack threatened her with a broken plate piece means that their relationship went sour.
Just after delivering soup to Jack in "The Glass Ballerina", Juliet knocks on Ben's door. When he answers, she simply gazes at him, and then raises her brow. Ben then says "you never made soup for me".
While Ben and Juliet are talking about the soup just outside of the monitoring room of the Hydra, Colleen climbs down a ladder and snarls, "Am I interrupting something?" Juliet retorts, "Would it really matter if you were?"
Adam's criticism that Ben would disapprove of Juliet's selection indicates either that Ben is the regular host of the Book Club, or has some personal connection with Juliet such as roommate, boyfriend, husband or brother.
Possibly, other than a relationship between Juliet and Ben, this shows Adam's and the rest of The Others' reverence for Ben and Juliet's displeasure with how Ben runs things (also apparent in the subtext of the final exchange between the two as Juliet leaves the observation room for Jack's cell).
It may also mean that they are the leaders of two different factions within the Others.
If the Others are still receiving regular food, medicine, and have a modern town, perhaps they are still in contact with the Hanso Foundation. In this case, the faction theory makes sense; Juliet leading the "Hanso-loyal" Others, and Ben leading the "Mittlewerk-loyal" Others (or vice-versa).
She could possibly be Ben's sister, making her full name 'Juliet Linus'.
Actually, both eventualities - that she is a) Ben's wife and has changed her name or b) Ben's sister - would make her family name Linus.
The idea of Juliet being Ben's sister would fit into the idea of sibling relationships (Shannon and Boone, Eko and Yemi, Charlie and Liam)
Juliet may be secretly leading a revolt against Ben.
Juliet is helping Ben by testing Jack. She played the video to see if he would actually kill Ben. Since he didn't instantly agree, maybe Ben trusted him more. Since Ben was going to die from the tumor he wouldn't have much choice and agreed to the deal.
She is/was the wife of Jacob and is trying to wrestle away the power from Ben.
Becoming the Losties' prisoner was another part of the deal.
She's attempting to make Jack a scapegoat after he botches Ben's spinal surgery. She may be trying to gain control of the Others with no apparent blood on her hands.
If she was testing Jack, he lost her bet when Jack didn't pick Ben's option (saving his life) or her own option (killing Ben) as Jack picked a third option of holding Ben as a medical hostage.
She's not the only Other being held captive. She wants a revolt so the captives can escape the island.

Mmm...well, since Dom plays Charlie, I'll admit, he was the only reason that I first started watching the show. WAY back when it first premiered. Oh, the memories.
Personally, he's my favourite. Not just because it's Dom. The character has really won me over.  Mwa ha ha ha! The drug addict is MINE!  Ha ha ha! Since I have hardly seen him this season, I can't really remember. All last season, I just wanted him to punch Locke. Ha ha ha.
Then there is Hurley. Awww!
I've definately started liking Jack more this season. Well, I've always liked him. But, just something about him this season. Maybe him being more vulnerable. Or something.
Like I keep saying, I have to see more of this season to see if I like Sawyer any more. I don't know, I really liked him in Season 1, and most of season 2....but....gah....I just don't know yet.

Hah, glad you like it Monty. I've been working on it all week.
Some good ideas there LOTRFreak but from my totally obsessed-with-Ben point of view, I going to do everything I can to try and find another argument to their attitude towards each other. (Does he mean character wife or real-life wife?).
There have definitely been signs of either a romantic relationship between Ben and Juliet...or it is merely a tussle for power. If Juliet is only a relatively new Other and Ben really has been on the island all his life, there is probably a tenstion between them as a) Juliet probably wants off by now and b) Ben probably has a slight resentment to a "newcomer" holding such a sigh position of trust, power etc.
I think that something happened between them to encourage major fallings out - possibly a choice Ben made that Juliet didn't agree with. This could be a reason she has "taken over" the book club - it is quite possible that although staged at her house, Ben could still have been the host although he didin't leave there.
I believe the entire scene with Jack, Juliet and the water was staged - as previously mentioned in one of my posts, there are a few reasons why I believe that scene was for Jack's benefit and to make him believe that Juliet is to be trusted as Ben didn't care if she died or not.
I think if anything, she just doesn't like him anymore. For whatever reason. The relationship points pretty clearly to a "romance" which puts me off straight away, as not everything is what it seems in LOST. I think the whole "soup" thing was probably just a statement of fact - she's been on the island for over 3 years and a priosner is served her home made soup, whereas Ben, the leader has never been given that honour.
Yeah, but that's just me.

Johnny's fan, Okay. I don't really know what I think of him yet...he hasn't been on this season yet. Though I am really looking forward to when they put Charlie on...after all he's why I started watching Lost.

MontanaBohemian, Yay! Somebdoy else here started watching for Dom. lol I just started watching last week. I started watching because this is the first season of Lost that has come on after I watched LotR. So when I read that Dom was on it I just Had to check it out.
Well, if nothing else you did like him in season one and most of season two, so...(high fives MontanaBohemian)
While I'm talking to you I just had to make a comment on something you said a few pages back. You said something about Harry Potter's Snape being alot like Lost's Juliet...well, I like Snape so I guess now I have to like Juliet. ...I think it's a definite fake. It looks very amateurish and I noticed that a few seconds of weird sound (bad editing if it's really an official video), blocked out a few seconds of use hearing about what Ben did before he came to the island. So, not only are they saying he hasn't lived there all his life....but they made it hard to hear what he supposedly had been doing.....
