The sun was rising, lending the scattered clouds a red-orange light. Rays of the sun pierced into the thick forest, setting squirrels and birds to chattering. The animals fell silent, though, as they sensed a foreign presence among them. It was vaguely familiar, smelling of wolf, but it wasn't entirely animal. The presence passed, and the animals cautiously came out of their hiding places.

A ray of sun fell on the path ahead of Cu'scath. He stepped into it, his leather boots stirring up motes of dust. Hardly pausing to think about it, the Bestaed settled the particles and smoothed over his bootprints, using his Elemental earth magic.

His golden eyes narrowed a bit. The magic. That was the reason for his journey, the reason for him leaving his hut and patch of land. The magic inside of him was moving, urging him, guiding him down the forest paths.

He had discovered the magic about a year ago, and since then it had grown within him. He had learned to use it, explored it's capabilities, though it ostracized him from his people and caused him to despise himself. It was part of him, though, just as his half-wolf, half-human body was part of him.

Cu'scath abruptly pushed his thoughts aside as he neared a large clearing in the trees. <i>This is the place.</i> he thought. The earth magic was telling him to stop there, just as it had urged him to leave his home.

Stepping into the shadows, his dark form nearly invisible, the Bestaed stopped. His every sense was alert for danger. It looked like there were figures already in the clearing. Cu'scath drew his sword and stepped forward slowly, into the light.

Another figure was near the Earth Elementist, except she was a Spirit Elementist herself. Her mind interlocked with his as she hid in the shadows. She decided to speak with him quickly, since she was valuneable while using her newly discovered gift.

My good sir, do not be afraid. I am no danger to you. Kithsytha said quickly. Even though this man was a Bestaed, not one of her own kin, the Villie, she did not sense any danger from him. Her long silver hair hid her slightly pointed ears as her dark purple eyes where shut. She waited for the man to answer her, her mindspell not releasing yet.

Beneath one of the largest trees in the clearing that early morning sat a notably slight figure, one enshrouded firmly by a dark cloak. The female(as the form was clearly that of a woman, curved in all the right places) seemed to be sleeping, eyes closed(yet this was hidden by the shadows of the hood pulled up over her head), yet the sheath of a longsword lay close at hand, and the shape of a bow could clearly be seen on her back, against the light bark of the tree. And her companions, if that's what they truly were, seemingly paid no heed whatsoever, going about their morning business in stoic silence.

Of course, these weren't even real people, as they were slightly transparent, if one looked close enough, but from a distance, they looked perfectly solid. For whatever intent this small act of magic had been enacted was uncertain, but there was a purpose for it all..and that was a wish for solitude on the woman's part.

The other woman, Kithsytha, was also cloaked and heavily armed, at least from a woman's prepective. She had two curved swords and a bow with her arrows on her back, and that was only the weapons she chose to show out in the open.

Beneath her cloak also lay two daggers, one wrist dagger and one ankle dagger, and on her belt there was a small throwing axe. She was skilled with all these weapons from years of training with her people and her family. She felt it required, especially since she was a little bit...different.

Corvryn walked gracefully from tree to tree, the altitude and not-so-gentle breeze seemingly not effecting him. Acctually, this was his favorite way to travel, and the contented smile that was plastered to his face made him seem much younger than his years. Silently swinging from branch to branch, he quickly hopped down to earth, a coushin of air easing his decent. He then quickly stopped in his tracks, as he saw that he was not alone...

Kithsytha quickly withdrew her mind from the man's as she felt a sudden danger come up from behind her. She opened her purple eyes and turned to see someone up in the tree, watching her. She just stared back.

Stiffening in the same instant she heard the sound of something dropping to the ground, the female beneath the tree let the illusion she had been holding vanish, and the 'people' faded away quickly. She then whipped up the scabbard next to her, drew the wicked looking blade with a sharp rasp, and positively leapt to her feet, blade held at the ready.

Kithsytha's mind races as she felt not only one other presence near her, but three! She unshealthed her swords, turning her hand around in all directions, trying to find all three of the people whom where near her.

A small red bird sat perched on the thick limb of a little tree in the forest. A melodious whistle emitted from her beak. But then she heard a disturbance, and she became silent. A Bestead walked not far away. She studied him with her small head cocked to the side for a moment before spreading her wings and flying off.

As she flew she noticed others in the forest. Two women. When she got to a place where she thought she would be alone, she landed. And then standing in the place where the bird had lit, was a raven haired elf woman in a crimson dress. She tossed one of her dark ringlets over her shoulder and turned around. She smiled as she looked at the beautiful trees and plants. She dearly loved nature.

Then a disturbance broke the peaceful quiet of the wood. She turned and walked a few steps warily to see three people gathered beneath a tree. Two women, one holding a sword, and a man. Her hand immediately went to the hilt of her dagger at her belt as she stepped out into the open, letting the three others know of her prescense.

Kithsytha's mind screamed at her. She saw the another woman walked into the open. She sighed. This woman was armed as well. But they would get nowhere with staring contest. She didn't even know if any of them where friend or foe.

Corvryn, very confused as to what he had just stumbled upon, to say the least, paniced, and soon vanished in a rush of fallen leaves, assuming his element's form. From there, he easily floated around to behind one of the characters there, and then reapeared behind them, so that no one would seem him resume his form.
