I don't really want to resort to editting member's post because although I want to protect the privacy of the votes, it's also hypocritical since I'm in a way invading someone's privacy and right by doing so.

I just hope this new pming system is easier for people to vote.

[*peeks in thread a bit disconcertedly*]

I just wanted to share my input, though it's goofy and prolly no help at all, rather than stalk this thread "nevermore" [quoth the raven.]

First off, I'm sorry you keep getting so little votes. That's downright pitiful, a total count of 4!? Huh, sounds like laziness to me. Blasted laziness.

Secondly, I really like the advertising idea, sounds jolly right on! Another thing is: since you DO have a club all devoted to, could you possibly get Aramel to put up notices when it comes time to vote for your contest? [complete with JF's handy-dandy lil link!]

And thirdly, if it would be any help at all, I'd put an advertising-linky-thing in my sig concerning voting for your contest.

Awww, FM. That's so sweet of you, you're so very kind! --- well, we'll try the advertising thing (don't know if it's right to involve my club though), but maybe I'll use some space in my own sig since I don't put much in it.

Though the problem is --- if we only advertise, set up what is needed from Marketing 101 text book in the voting thread, and if people usually know that I request voting by pm --- maybe they'll just won't bother looking? Bah --- laziness is so hard to work with!

*new strategy*
Voting Awareness Campaign (VAC). Raise a discussion on the contest forum. Kit, you posted a survey once to get peoples' opinions on contests. Were you able to learn anything from the results? You might wanna try that again with the voting form..

And concerning advertising in sigs... it has been non-scientifically proved that the majority of people don't read sigs!! (I actually do, but I don't consider myself counted among the majority!).

I believe it's true your notorious and unpleasantly insisting on voting through PM's might have scared people, but it can be solved simply by putting a catchy title up...! "Like Introducing Easy Voting - come and [s]try[/s] buy!"

Aw, that was nice of you FM. :-) I really like the advertising idea. And Kit can't really so anything if you add on the end of a Kit Quote post about that SC voting can she? ;)

I think that really, Kit will just have to try this new method of voting.....and then we can take it to plan B if that doesn't seem to help. If you ever do another contest syrvey Kit - inlcude a question regarding the SC voting and see what you get. :-)

I just may start up another survey just to focus on voting and how you prefer it.

Even better. That might be useful for future reference. Maybe also include something like.

Q8. Do you like voting via PM's?

Q9. If you answered "no" to the above, please state why.

Although you probably already thought of that. :P

Well it's always good to check the frequency. =D Great minds can't -always- think alike.

Well... I beg to differ on that --- fools DO differ. They're just on different levels of foolishness.

You're probably right - it's just an English saying I believe...or least I think it is.... ;)

"Who is the more foolish? The fool or the fool who follows him?"
