Quote: Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been on much. My boyfriend of a year and a half dumped me on Feb. 6th. I've been really depressed and taking a bit of a break from the net. I think I'm getting a little better now though. At least, good enough not to burst into tears.
Aww.....that sucks! :hugs:
I don't really like any guys around here...most of them are immature and rude or one of my friends. Dating one of my guy friends would be wayy weird.

Well, I can't be mad at him. I still love him and it's not like he was cheating on me or anything. He just said that we were too different and we are different, I just thought our love was stronger than that. I really did think he was THE one. And that may seem dumb, but I did.

I'd still kick him in the balls. I'm a rather angry person.

Well, anger is okay, but forgiveness is nice too. I like your little "blurb" thing (if that's what you call it) about your siggy... I know that song. (Who doesn't?)
And now to the reason for my visit... *ta-dum* I'd like to join, please, if i may! I'm kind of a "closet goth", if that's what you call it. I don't actively dress in black clothes and make-up (usually ) but i do consider myself somewhat of a goth, or at least one who sympathizes with goth culture. As you may have noticed from my siggy. I've become more interested in goths recently than i was before because I've been struggling with, well, OCD basically for the past...almost two years , and while it may not be classified as actual depression, it certainly makes one depressed! Anyway, i'm slowly getting better, and part of what has helped me is discovering the marvelous Evanescence (my opinion of whom is also evident in my siggy ). Their music kind of helped me find beauty amidst all the darkness, like being led out into the moonlight and coming to love it even tho the Dawn that you prized first is hours away. Sorry, lol, i tend to get rather metaphorical. 'Tis who i am. Anyway, i hope you didn't mind reading a bit about me and why i decided to join... ...But anyway i'll stop now.

Consider yourself a member. A very poetic description of what it's like!

Woot. And I love my never-ending banner. and my little blurby too, thanks for noticing.
And I'm so glad to see my 'closet goth' term used.

Thanks.
We should have some sort of group activity.
We could give five facts about ourselves or something or write a poem about something we did today?

I write emo poems all the time. But goth-y, not really.

We could write something all together. Each writing four lines or something. Does everyone rhyme or are there more non-rhymers here?

I usually rhyme at least somewhat, but i've started to branch out more recently. That sounds like it could be fun, writing a poem all together. (What does 'emo' mean, btw? )

Rhyming for me. Non-rhyming goes straight over my head, I'm afraid.
And emo is short for emotional. Goths and emo are normally confused. Emos wear the drainpipe pants, cut themselves, crazy stuff. You know that crazy little hair flip thing? Yeah, emo.
Goths are completely different.
