((Ivaan bears the ring of shadow. He accidentally (unknowningly - he can see perfectly fine in the dark) made the room really dark))

(@Tur: Sure, our characters can fall for eachother. It'll be fun)
Koltok reached across Tur and punched Ivaan on the arm. "Hey!" he said, his voice sharp but friendly. "Its a bit dark, don't you think?" he asked. "Dark as in shadows..."

At this comment, Ivaan's brow furrowed.
"What?... Oh..." though his face did not show it, he blushed slightly as the shadow on the room lifted. He obviously didn't show any signs of discomfort un the dark, as he could see perfectly in it. And, there was somthing about it... Something in the air that... Calmed him when there was darkness or shadows.
Ivaan then looked up, but did not move otherwise, and and saw the elder bearer enter the room.

(awesome Nauriel!!!!! )
Turwaithiel laughed at the darkness, and was about to light the room up again with flames when Ivaan did it himself. Just then, a presence came to the room, like a mist of cloud. Fog surrounded the forest and the cabin as the Old Bearer floated into the room. He used to be the Bearer of Spirit and he was the last alive, of both humans and Elves, of the Orignal Bearers. He revealed himself as he sat in the head chair. His body looked feeble and old. Wrinkles covered his entire body and he wore an old purple wizards cloak. His long white beard and hair seemed to flow together as he looked at all the Bearers in the eyes. Finally, he spoke.
"Well, my young Bearers...it's time." He looked at them all again, clearing his throat. His voice sounded weak and scratchy, as if he hadn't used it in a while. He contiuned, "The bandishment we first put on the Demons during the...Great War....is over. The Demons and their rings...have returned...as I...predicted." He tooked a long breath and smacked his lips a few times.
"I know you have lived your own lives for a while...my children...but now, you have a duty...a privledge...a calling...you are Bearer's of the...Rings...of Power. And you all..." He paused once more, looking them all in the eye, "have a role to play. My time...is almost up. Now, it is the time...for you to defeat the Demons...once and for all." The Old Bearer coughed loudly and whispered, "Go...to the Forest of the Elves...find Lady...Arwe....she will assist you..." He gapsed as he looked out and saw the moon. "My time...is now over...Good-bye and good luck..." He smiled and then, slowly, he faded until his seat was empty and a huge gust of wind came through the forest, as if the wind was carrying his spirit away. The lights went out again and all 7 Bearers sat in darkness.
(whoo, that was long!)

"My lady Arwe..." The elven ranger, his bow slung over his back and his forest green cape flapping in the wind, came riding back to the royal caravan. Though he remained relatively composed, his steed appeared the stark contrary. The dappled stallion danced sidways, nostrils flared with fear.
With good reason, Xel'ycor thought with an egregious grin as he drew forth one wicked sai from his ruby-studded belt. Flipping back his crimson-hemmed black cloak, the deceptively slight Demon rested his free hand a bare inch from the enormous shurikens at his belt.
Unknown to the ingenuous Lady Arwe and her royal escort, the trees in the general vincinity were swarming with live gargoyles - the shock troops Demons often employed to their advantage. They crouched in anticipation and bloodlust, ears pricked for their master's word.
Xel'ycor intended to give the word, and soon. This was an endeavor they could not fail.

Ivaan, who was not easily impressed, or just didn't show it, sighed half sadly, half happily.
"Well, I'm sad to see him go," He said in the darkness, "But at least he left us in a suitable environment." Although the others could not see it, he was smiling happily in the darkness, glad to be one with his element.

Just then, all the candles surrounding them lit up, each having a flame to light up the room. Turwaithiel was grinning. "Sorry about that...you will get to be in your element shortly."

Eledhe's boot crunched down upon a nest of dry leaves and pine needles, and she winced. That was what came of getting lost in one's thoughts. The sky was lightening and still she had not reached the others, bearers of the six other Rings alike to hers. All things considered, Eledhe did not find their company superior to many others, and it was with mixed feelings that she trudged through the forest, bow in hand, to find out the reason for the summons.
The forest cleared briefly to make way for a packed dirt road, and out of absentminded habit Eledhe ran her eyes over the tracks still fresh in the dust. Horses and the occasional footman, likely Elven from the soft ovals they left as boot tracks, as opposed to the heavier, studded boots of human men. Nothing new there, Elves passed through this wood frequently. But as Eledhe crossed and descended again into the trees, a white patch in the dim light caught her eye. It was the light inner wood of a slender birch, bark and wood very recently ripped from its surface to leave a gaping would.
The young woman frowned. No forest animal habitually ripped chunks out of the wood that was part of their livelihood. She moved closer, fingertips reaching to probe the gash. Four claws, one opposable, very sharp - unnaturally so.
Instinctively Eledhe dropped into a crouch. Demons, here recently. As recently as the elf caravan? And by the same road? She hesitated. The ring-bearers' meeting place was in roughly the same direction. It couldn't hut to follow, see if the two races ever met up.
It was sure to be bloody if they had.

Elizabeth quietly watched the whole meeting through a window. She gasped when the old man that appeared, just disappear again. The window was high, so Elizabeth had her horse stand next to a window, and she stood on the mare's back. Suddenly the mare bolted forward, scared by a snake. Elizabeth fell off, and landed on the ground with a loud thump, loud enouph for the bearers in the cabin to hear...

Amrod pushed his way through the brush. The sound of someone falling onto the hard dirt attracted his attention. He gripped his dagger and moved steathly through the trees. He saw a woman lying on the ground. He moved out of the shadows and stood over her.
"Hmph," He grunted.

Elizabeth sat up, groaning. She was deffinantl going to have a few bruises in the morning, or later since it was early morning. She looked up to find a man looking down on her. The young elf quickly stood up...

"Are you ok?" He asked gruffly, standing back and surveyed the elf.

Koltok sprang to his feet and opened the door. He peered out into the darkness. He couldn't see very well in the darkness, but through his connection to the ring of earth he had felt the body hit the ground. he knew someone was out there. "Hello?" He called. He stepped foreward, his sences straining. He saw the shape of a body. Another step and he could see the face. It was Elizabeth, Turwaithiel's little sister, and a man holding a dager was standing over her. He shouted, and without thinking used his conection to the ring of earth to solidly encase the man up to his ankles in hard rock. "Whta are you doing here, and what is your name?" he asked angrily.
