Ah, another speaker of the wonderful language of French. Comment longtemps vous l'avez étudié, Frostie?

J'étudié le Francais pour deux ans.
I had to think how to say that. Language was not meant for me, I guess. But I do like science and math. Odd, I know...

J'ai étudié le français pendant 4 ans maintenant. Avez-vous pensé de joindre les haut-parleurs français frappent?
No, no maths and sciences are very important, and they'll definitely get you far in life if your looking for a good job.

I woke up at two in the morning once thinking 'I know there's something I have to do....' then realised with horror that I had two essays to be in the following day. Gives some insight into my organisational skills.
I can remember large chunks of Shakespeare, loads of poetry, the entire top three team lists in the Premiership...and yet language escapes me I have to do Spanish and French. I've been doing them for three years, and yet yesterday spent a good five minutes trying to figure out how to say 'Tuesday' in Spanish.

Oooh, I just heard on the news! Is everyone OK? Those storms in England... they looked terrible! I heard a lady got squashed by a brick wall while she was on the way home from grocery shopping, and another person was quite literally swept off their feet and went straight into a glass window!
Anyway, this year I'm doing my School Certificate. It's a nation wide exam that everyone has to do in Year 10, so then people who may not want to go on to Year 11 and 12 can leave and get an apprenticeship for a trade like carpentry or hairdressing or plumbing... I'm scared. This year is going to be hard. it's kinda like... SAT's or whatever they're called, but a couple of years earlier. The HSC (Higher School Certificate) is like SAT's.
And as for french... j'adore le francais! J'etudie le francais pour trois ans... and I can't remember a lot of French right now, I'm in holiday mode.

Well, I'm ok. Riding home from school was difficult though, as I was riding into the wind at various angles the whole way. Managed to stay on though. Apparently, the wall of my youngest sister's classroom was actually wobbling. They had to go into another room :S

Yeah so am I. The storms sound pretty awful there in Britain. We've got ice storms like in the Midwest in America. But just wondering, is French a required class to take in Britain? Because where I live you can choose French or Spanish as your foreign language.

^ it depends entirely on the school. for me, french was a requirement in years 5-9, and german was an option in year 9. then for gcse (years 10 and 11), i had to choose between french and german. however, seeing as i hadn't taken german in year 9, i had to do french.

we could only choose between latin and french (since german is my mother tongue )
but my friend goes to a school where they chose between french and english. that's stupid, I think. to choose french before learning english ...

 Same here. Although unless you were really bad at it in year 9, you had to take it. So it was counted as one of your compulsary GCSEs. But I think that's what you meant anyway.
