Aerandir I did not make that connection in what I said. Very funny.

fair rider, There is no need for me to correct you. lol You're right, several of those haven't been posted here yet. Wow... I 2nd the over Will. However is it just me or does it look like he's lost weight, especialy in the promo pictures of him in the darker coloured clothes? I'm just curious if it's just me or that paticular outfit or if he really has lost weight... . I'm not saying that he doesn't still look swoon worthy ('cause he totally does). It was just something that I noticed in those pictures.
Um, I also really liked the group picture they had on one of those books. They looked pretty good there too.
Thanks a million times over for posting that for us, fair rider.

He may have done but he is showing a lot of chest and isn't as bulked up in costume as he usually is. The less the better

on the topic of N/E. and norington sacrificing elizabeth
i will say that he maybe a good man at heart and in COTBP he did let her go but there is a line in DMC that makes me think that he doesn't love her anymore. after she talks to jack so goes over and stands next to him at the rail and he says something like ( corect me if im wrong)
" you know there WAS a time when i give to have u look like that when thinking about me" (or something like that)
but the fact is he says it in the past tense. and also in COTBP while he did set out to get elizabeth he also set out to capture jack. im just saying that maybe the sacrifice is around the same. ultimatly its still the sacrifice of love to see her happy.
anyways.......sry to argue but i just had to put in my opinion. i just can't jump ship. in my opinion it has to be w/e. but i do see where your coming from potr

He let go. Yes, arguably, Will is prepared to do the same, but James actually does it and then has to witness the results for himself. Even though he loves her deeply (and yes, he really does), he admits that Will is the better match for her. It hurts him and breaks him and (in my opinion) is largely responsible for his downfall, but he'd rather see her happy without him than miserable with him. Even if it costs him everything. And I think James did just as much for Elizabeth, in his own way. Not only did he essentially devote an entire fleet just to finding her, he personally went on the voyage instead of focusing on managing things back in Port Royal. And then when he did find her and she requested Will's rescue as her "wedding gift", he knew that he was getting manipulated, yet he did it anyway. For her. (Note- if any of y'all have never watched the deleted scenes for CotBP, stop right now and go watch the one titled "Less Than Sincere." It's right after Liz accepts the proposal, and it's amazing.) And, as I said, he still let her go afterward, even though he had every right to demand that she honor their engagement. He tried just as hard as Will did; he just stayed inside the law while doing so. Then in DMC, he has to watch her essentially throw away his gift (letting her be with Will) to flirt with the very man he holds responsible for ruining his life. And he still says nothing against her. If anything, he tries to warn her ("Did you ever wonder how you latest fiance ended up aboard the Flying Dutchman?"). And then he witnesses their reunion and passionate kiss and sees how happy Elizabeth is around Will. This (click) to me looks like far more than "not much." And, of course, he pays the ultimate ultimate sacrifice for her sake in AWE (it's a spoiler that's been brought up before, but last time I outright said it, it started a long stream of denial and such, so I won't).Sorry if that sounds like a rant, but even though I ardently support Willabeth, I also ardently support Norribeth and would probably ship it before Willabeth if I thought it had any real chance of happening. James is a far better man than people give him credit for.
ok, you totally got me, I'm sorry. you are toatally right about Nori, I really should have thought about that before I posted, I don't have anything against Nori really, and even less after reading this....oyur not playing the devil's advocate, just bringing me to my senses, ok, I have a new liking for Norrington, thank you PotR.
((ack! Nori can't DIE cane he!?! please say no!!!!!))

I don't know if this has already been brought up here, but apparently the fourth movie is being written. Of course, I did get that second hand, so I don't know if this is correct. Here's the link to where I found it.
http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=221490
Edit: I went and looked it up on google, one site sounded like it was a sure thing, one sounded like it was still up in the air, and the last sounded like it might happen, but didn't seem to optimistic. So, who knows?

I root for a N/E or a W/E ending...it's on a balanced level because I like both of the characters.
Thanks fair rider for the pictures!
And a fourth movie does sound interesting, but I have no idea whether its true or not.
Maybe it's best for potr to clarify?

3 Cheers for ya POTR.
I love my Norribeth, and I love it a lot.
But I won't explain Norri since I did so in a cosiderably long post just 4 pages prior to this one.even though no one payed any attention to it
So yeah, brilliant post mate...Norribeth is a ship meant to sail.

I can neither confirm nor deny the plans for a fourth movie because, quite frankly, I don't know.
I know that there's plenty of talk, but it's actually more or less split (the media just prefers to show the stuff that suggests there will be a 4th). Personally, I almost hope they don't. AWE is going to be killer, and I'm afraid that anything more will just be overkill. That's not to say that Tad and Terry haven't surprised us before, but...yeah. Three is a good number. If you want more, read fanfics.

Totally agree. Keep it to the trilogy I say. I know that in the Belfalas (The actors movies) theirs a thread about POTC4.
From what I've read though Orlando and Kiera don't want to do another pirates movie (they didn't even want to do DMC and AWE). So because of this, the pirates team may do a prequle to POTC with Jack Sparrow.
It's just a bit of hearsay I've heard and read.

I'm actually glad I was wrong. I would probably go see a fourth, but I would rather they didn't make it in the first place. Three is a good number!

the best movies come in threes, and if they really want to make a fourth, i bet hardly anyone will go, the ratings for DMC were terrible and im expectign the same for AWE(wont stop me from liking it) and if the ratigns keep going down, Disney is going to have to rethink wether or not they want to go on with Number 4
and do you know what bothers me, when people but an "e" in Davy's name!!

from what I herd off the behind the scenes stuff with Ted and Terry (and others) they made it sound as if AWE will be the last...they talked about it being the last chance they might get to write a pirates film... the last chance anyone might get ti write a pirate film...(and Olando said he felt like potc was like the last time somone would be making a moivie this way...I think he was refering to the fact that there was so much water transport and stuff)
anyone elce love the CG and the fact that, although it is some of the best CG I've ever seen, they didn't overdo it. the only did CG for things they needed, like the kraken or Davy and his crew... and even then they still had actors... and they smashed a ship in half! I liked the lack of digital dubles... I mean lotr had some and it was fine, but sw had wayy to many...I think potc did well with CG.
Kel
(hope I didn't offend any of you sw fans...and I hope no one gets off subject bnecause of my comments)
