I don't think it would be over promoting. If anything I think its under promoting.
Everyone I know has forgotten about DMC and don't know ANYTHING about AWE.
I've even seen trailers for films that are coming out in SEPTEMBER.
When the film does come out it's going to be crazy. A PIRATE HURRICANE.

I'm simply relaying what they have been telling us; that doesn't mean I agree. The trailer will come when it comes, and we'll all be ecstatic when it does. Until then, it's not like we can do anything to make it come faster.

Might I suggest a Time Machine *does the Dr. Evil quotation marks*.
But yes, I'll be overly ecstatic when the trailer DOES come out. Hopefully they don' t delay it to the last month. =\

I found this thread on the rotten tomatos forum on why the trailer hasnt been released yet
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/showthread.php?t=540337
If thats their reason then WHY release the DVD and next film so close together. Seems like bad publicity to me.
P.S - potr, I was reading something on KTTC and I have to ask you, did you really come up with the whole caramel apples idea for Willabeth. If you did it's very cleaver .

Guilty as charged. To be perfectly honest, it was a spur-of-the-moment analogy. We were debating -yet again- Willabeth vs. Sparrabeth, and someone made some comment about how Jack and Elizabeth were perfect because they were so alike. I tend to use a lot of food analogies in my debates (no idea why; I always have), and so for part of my response, I used a caramel apple as an example. See, apples and caramel are very different things; apples are typically sour and crisp, while caramel is very sweet and soft. And they both work fine independently. You don't have to have an apple to eat caramel, and you don't have to have caramel to enjoy an apple. But, when they are put together, they blend perfectly to create something even better, each playing off of the other's "strengths" and "weaknesses". Likewise, Will and Elizabeth are perfectly capable as functioning as individuals (as is evidenced by the majority of both films), but when they work together (battle against Barbossa, Isla de Muerta, the Kraken attack), they coexist perfectly and create an almost unstoppable force.
So...yeah. I really didn't know the trend I was starting. My intention was to argue the case of Willabeth, but in the process I created the trend of "shipper foods."

Funnily enough, I used the caramel apple first (I think). Or at least, I used it before Ted posted the waffle one on KTTC. Not sure if they'd made the analogy before that elsewhere.
