Deawen suddenly went dead silent when Morwen scolded her after a length she said in a soft whisper " i am Sorry Morwen I ask pardon for my actions" Deawen said without looking at Morwen instead she looked out the tent door. she then fixed a steely gaze on Pygrus " head south down the third row of tents when you reach the scent of iron follow your nose.. " Deawen said dismissively.... silence again
' No I have no favor to ask of you nor would I, I wanted to make sure everything was set for you and now that i have seen that it is I take my leave now.." Deawen said getting to her feet she left the tent as soon as she was on her feet.
Deawen as she walked in the falling snow felt the wieght of the days travles on her she heaved a deep sigh and continued walking to her tent. she caught sight of Eston playing fetch with Aernel. Deawen laughed slightly as Aernel grabbed the end of the stick and tugged Eston off balanced. Deawen sensed a presence nearby at first it felt like a phantom but as she concentrated on it, it felt hostile Deawen reached for a dagger as she heard footsteps behind her she waited until it was close enough touch with an arms length. Deawen spun around Dagger drawn but no sword or dagger met her..the figure moved as if pulling on a rope then releasing it. SHe heard it before seeing it she froze in instinct the Ice cold water hit her like a thousand knives. jabbing pain enveloped Deawens body she couldn't scream or move the pain was so deep. The figure came up to her and wrapped a cord Around her Neck Deawen screamed inside as her hands failed to react by grabbing a dagger something! the cord tightened Deawen felt the pressure around her neck her air running out her heart racing. Deawen's right Arm regained it's self slightly Deawen reacted by bringing the dagger up and over peircing the figure in the shoulder. Deawen felt and heard him scream felt the pressure relax on her neck. the scream brought Many Phantoms to alarm, But Eston reach the scene First grabbing the Figure by the throat then with a knife no bigger than a pocket knife slashed at the side of the figures neck just behind the ear tha man writhed around for a moment staining the snow as he bleed to Death. Eston and other phantoms Helped Deawen up she was coughing and she appeared with no wounds but Eston knew better her entire attire was soaked with water now frozen. Once Deawen was inside she stopped coughing, but shivered uncontrolbly she had her eyes clamped shut as well as her mouth. Eston knew Deawen hated water but didn't know it was to this extent.

(Sorry I guess I should read more carefully)
After Pygrus had sharpened his sword he heard a scream and he rushed to the sound of it. But by the time he got there Deawen was sopping wet . Looking at the ground he saw a man dead. As Pygrus saw Deawen enter her tent he thought to himself. "I would hate to be her enemy" after pondering this Pygrus figured out that they were in the hands of a person of great power.

(Deawen didnt' kill the Guy Pygrus... nor did she walk into her tent unaided.... :annoyed2: Eston killed the guy.....argh that just ruined the suspence... )
Eston convinced Deawen to take her cloak off in it's place Eston wrapped a thick wool blanket around her and set her near a braizer. Deawen was as silent as the dead and almost looked as pale, Eston had no idea why Deawen was acting funny it was just water.. what harm can water do but feel cold? What Eston Did not know was the Gift Deawen carried it was a gift and a curse... Deawen was an Elsent a firestarter water is the foe of fire cold water blocks her gift keeping her from manipulating fire to her will. Who ever this man was knew her secret. Eston sat at the tent entry acting as guard. he had sent out his own spynetwork to find anyone else that was a suspected spy of Argo for it could have been none other than Argo's bidding to have Deawen killed...

Morwen ran to Deawen's tent, notiong the dead body on the way, only to fine Eston blocking her way. "What happened?" she asked frantically. Eston explained in brief. "For goodness sake, Eston, let me through!" she persisted. Eston was adamant that she stay out.

*Sen stepped quickly through the snow, the body over his shoulder not much of a burden. He had seen the attack, and also what many had not; a second assailant in the trees, observing. He had quickly knocked him out; as the other one was dead, this one could be valuable for information. He walked to Deawen's tent, all rumors of tension set aside for the moment. Eston, however, blocked his way.*
Eston, I must see Deawen.

Eston stood firm even though he knew refusing a lord could be fatal he wasn't sure of them, Deawen in her state was an easy target. He stood blocking the entry way he looked at Mrowen then Sen then heaved a Sigh he stepped away with his head bowed in respect.
he showed them where Deawen was resting.
Deawen was wrapped in a wool blanket her eyes where shut and she was shivering like she had a fever. She looked Sick her hair was duller her skin pale. she was on the floor next to a brazier. When Sen and Morwen Appraoched Deawen opened one eye and studied them. " I hate wianter"
the last word was hard to decifer as either winter or water. Deawen didn't move she just stared at them with a peaceful gaze as one that is tired.
Eston stood outside the tent to give them privacy.
Deawen sighed she looked at Morwen then at Sen " My lord Something troubles you beside me.." Deawen said in a half whisper
her voice showed no sign of fear as if she was not worried about her sickness as if this happened frequently and you just have to bear it.

Morwen frowned, then got up to get some furs to put over the wool blanket from a chest across the tent.

Deawen watched Sen steadily as if trying to devel deep into his thoughts. she glanced out the tent flap outside " there was another wasnt there?" Deawen asked sitting up " it shouldn't surprize me but it does... assuming it was Argo's bidding It' won't be the last... Argo is planning one of two things...one he is trying to kill me to simplify the duel I sent messengers to him containing the detail You My lord Sen are fighting in my stead... Two he is trying to force me to mistrust My own Phantoms to start a massacer..somthing along those lines so he can say " Look she murders those close to her at her whim!" obviosly biulding a case for my men to revolt and overthrow me.. "" Deawen said standing up, she walked to a chair that served as her diplomatic chair. she still shoke but was not as sick looking.

*Sen nodded. It was a good plan, but one he was determined to see fail. He set down the second attacker, and with a small splash of just melted water, he brought him to conciousness. The attacker immediately made for the door, but with a swift kick, he sent the attacker reeling back to the center of the tent.*
Will you speak, or will I have Raith come in here? I must warn you, he has broken every one that he has ministered to. Well? Answer me!
*The attacker looked as if he was trying to chew something, but looked up in alarm. Sen was smiling, and held a small capsule in his hand.*
Looking for this? I already took it out. Even so, I could have allowed you to suffer, and healed you at the last moment. That is within my power. So, will you speak?

Deawen sat in her chair with little expression.she motioned Morwen to sit in one of the chairs around the room. Eston took his place behind Deawen's right hand. Deawen stared at the attacker she didn't know him that made her more relaxed. The Attacker looked from sen to Deawen at first with fear " Why are you here?" Deawen asked smoothly the attacker's face hardened " to rid the Phantoms of thier female pestilence and fraud..to end your poison." he spoke confidently Deawen sat unmoved Eston made his way towards the prisoner but Deawen held her hand up " not on my carpet Lord Eston" Deawen commanded not taking her eyes off the prisoner " I like when people speak the truth even if it is harsh" Deawen said Eston returned to his post with a grunt. " You may wonder why i don't ask for your name but you are of little consiquent to me who or where you came from but Who sent you and your mission is what matters to me" Deawen said diplomaticaly the Prisoners countance did not change ' My mission was simple find your weakness.."
the words sank in too fast
Deawen stood up in fear and anger but it quickly faded and she became smooth and cold she got down to his level and stared straight into his eyes " and what did you find?"Deawen asked but the man looked away not meeting her gaze.

Morwen watched, stone-faced, as the tricky dance of interrogation went on. This was something she had always been good at, but it was nice to watch it done by someone else for a change. The poor grunt of a soldier was falling right into every trap that Deawen and Sen put out.

" look at me " Deawen ordered a very strange air came over the room it was tense, very suspenceful. Eston Shifted uncomfortably he knew Deawen was baiting the soldier. " What did you find?" Deawen asked again softer this time " Did Argo send you here to see what makes me bleed or hurt?" Deawen remarked waving her hand. THe soldier would not meet her gaze until she said Argo he nodded very slightly " good" Deawen praised " and did you suceed in finding that information?" Deawen asked softly as if she was talking to a child. The soldier nodded yes "and the others?" " there was none other than my one companion "
" very good, Now I know for a fact You are not a Dragon Tear nor one of my phantoms for on your right hand there is no Brand of my insignia But I will ask a vow of silence on this matter of you.." Deawen was smiling even Eston smiled a small one but a smile none the less.
the soldier looked At Deawen then at Sen it couldn't be this easy " A vow of slience?" he asked quaking Deawen nodded " A blood oath if you will that you will never tell a soul of my weakness" the soldier side glanced her " How do i know it's not some trap?" " how could it be? it's a vow after that you are free" Deawen said in an sweet tone the soldier accepted by holding out his rigth hand Deawen nodded to Eston and Eston left and came back with a small knife Dragons covered the whole blade and hilt the blade gleamed as if wet. Deawen took his rigth hand and very lightly pierced his index finger drawing blood. Deawen smiled and stood up handed the dagger back to Eston.
the soldier went to get up as well but collasped again then began writhing around. then stopped his eyes were still open but glazed over. Deawen looked cold and very distant she slowly sat in her chiar with her eyes closed Eston brougth back four other phantoms and they removed the recently dead soldier from the tent to be burned.
Deawen opened her eyes she looked at her companions " if this is what i Have to do to keep my position from the wolves I am prepared to do such.." Deawen said softly.

Morwen was disturbed by Deawen's action. She shifted uncomfotably as the dead man was dragged outside. It was perfectly acceptable for a man to be dead, mangled by steel and iron. Poison was disturbing to her, leaving the soldier as if they were asleep. She looked at Deawen, then Sen, waiting for either to speak.

Deawen sighed/snort in her own way of protesting something. she was tense and taunt ready to pounce on the first one to upset her. Like a leopard waiting for the right moment to pounce.
Eston once again shifted and figided till Deawen Nearly bit his head off. Even Little Aernel stayed clear of Deawen. Deawen in truth hated killing people who were indeed helpless but she was protecting her and her phantoms but mainly her.
Deawen's ways were a bit odd and ever changing. Poison was her main asset but she would never poison food or drink she like the chase and kill not the easy way. She never took prisoners atleast not willingly she left them alone or killed them it was simple as that.
A heavy silence enveloped the room.
" was it wicked of me to have killed him?" Deawen asked suddenly
