A small patrol of ThunderClan cats slunk along the border between their land and WindClan's. One of them, a tom with bright orange fur, sniffed around. "They haven't been here for atleast a week," he meowed to the others on the patrol. He sniffed again, but found nothing else.

RiverClan cats also wandered along on their patrols. Iceflower frolicked around in front of the others, enjoying the spring day. Suddenly, she paused, smelling a ThunderClan patrol. She glanced at her Clanmates, then back at the other cats suspiciously.

Silverclaw stood a little ways away from the rest of the ThunderClan, carefully sniffing at the ground. He could find traces of the WindClan, but nothing showing how they may have dissapeared. He looked up as a new, but familiar scent caught his attention. <i>The RiverClan</i> he thought, and moved on ahead of the patrol to greet them.

Moonfly lept out of the river. SOme of her clan had smelled the ThunderClan. She shook all the water she could out of her coat, then joined her clan.

A gray male cat fell with oomph as a white female with beautifully patterned dark stripes lightly landed on his back before springing off. He shook his head at his sister. "Rainshine..." he teasingly growled as he stood up. “This is patrol, not play-time."

The she-cat laughed. "Well it might as well be seeing as nothing interesting is happening. Someone's gotta brighten things up." Rain stepped towards the edge of the river and gracefully leapt onto a rock sticking out of the water. She squinted, spotting movement on the Thunderclan territory. With a smile, she gave a friendly yowl as a cat stepped ahead of the Thunderclan patrol and went out to meet him. They were on unusually good terms with the Thunderclan this season and Rain preferred if it stayed that way.

“Greetings Thunderclan,” she said jumping onto their side of the river. She gave a submissive bow seeing as she was on their territory.

Her brother, Flood, shook his head. Rain was too laidback and outgoing sometimes. One of these days, she was going to get into a scrap for crossing onto other territories.

Silverclaw inclined his head to the young cat. "Greetings to you." he said. "What brings you here?" he asked in a friendly voice.

Firepelt narrowed his eyes at the trespassing RiverClan cats. Iceflower glared back, but backed down when she remembered who was one who's territory.
