*crawls into thread*
Here is my first volley. Sorry about the simplicty of it.

Katharine Hepburn - An Unconventional (Why I Love Her)
Katharine Hepburn - a living legend and an icon of the silver screen. Considered by some to be one of the greatest stars ever, considered by me to be the very greatest. Why? Arrogant, strong-willed, independant, feisty, intelligent, wilful and determined, Katharine did not conform to the usual 1930's leading lady "role". A true character, whose feisty nature would sometimes give studio bosses a headache - famed for waering "slacks" rather the the normal dresses of the time, the studio bosses snuck into her dressing room and removed all her trousers leaving dresses instead, Katharine being Katharine promtly walked around the sets in her underwear! Needless to say the studio heads got the point, and they let her wear what she wanted. As she said herself -"I always wear slacks because of the brambles and maybe the snakes... So I look ghastly, do I? I don't care--so long as I'm comfortable"....
As an actress she added a little bit of her own distinctive personality, into every role she played. With her Connecticut accent, flaming red hair and high cheek bones, there was never any mistaking Katharine Hepburn for anyone else. An actress in every sense of the word, she would try new and different roles, avoid being typecast and even when the critics gave her a hard time, she always came bouncing back. Her sense of timing in her screw-ball comedies is perfection, and her dramatic roles, whether they be tragedy, romance or even supense, prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that she deserves to be called an actress. And this is before mentioning her astounding 4 Academey Award wins for Best Actress and 13 Best Actress nominations.
She also deserves to be called a star for being different in a time when such difference in women was unthinkable. For giving the male sex a rough time, in an age when females did what the male said. For having her own opinions, and giving them (whether they were wanted or not). For being clever, witty and spirited when women were preferred to be dumb, and meek. For these qualities, she is inspiring to people all over the world and for her unqiue character alone I call her - Kate the Great.

[gasp] You're throwing that as your first volley?! [spazz] I might as well throwin the towel now!!!
That's GORGEOUS!!
Just, mad crazy -Kit grows greener- gorgeous.
The Unconvent details are really good. Katharine definitely wore the pants in everything she did, took charge!!

You really like it? Wow, I thought it was just average, it's no way near as good as half of the volleys I've seen. Aw, I'm sure you'll make an excellent volley Kit because....you're Kit! D
Hah, I can't promise as many details for my other Unconventials. Ah, she did indeed. If I had a time machine, I'd either go back just a couple of years and write to her, or go back even further and see her on stage or something.

Audrey Hepburn, one of the most talked about actresses of her age, before and after her passing proved that she was one of the special ones. Young Audrey was known for her brilliant smile and gorgeous complexion but Hollywood did not destroy the already kind person that had already formed at a young age before her career started in an instructional film.
Her uttermost fascinating unending trait of hers was her unwillingless to stop <i>loving</i>. <i>"“I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.”</i>. Kindness was finally proven evident when in 1989, she was appointed Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF saying, <i>"I can testify to what UNICEF means to children, because I was among those who received food and medical relief right after World War II."</i>
In 1994, after the sad passing of Audrey, the Audrey Hepburn Childrens Fund was created on her behalf to continue her work and dedication for helping suffering around the world.
