"I think that, perhaps, the blood oath would have sufficed," said Morwen a bit coldly. "Surely an oath with the threat of death would be enough to shut anyone's mouth."

Deawen drummed her fingers on the arm of her chair.
" I have to disagree, Should I have left the oath as an Silence vow he still could have talked and blabbed about his knowing. he could have escaped gotten to Argo then argo would know how to leave me weak helpless!" Deawen said getting up she went straight to the Brazier.
Also this soldier is not one of my command he was of Easterling decent but he had a Bredena air to him. I wouldn't trust him as far as i could throw him..."Deawen hissed " I have never taken prisoners they are useless to me what am i going to do with them?! You should know morwen when we fought one another i let the men I captured go...." Deawen said getting heated up. " Morwen mellon nin I do not live the life of a soldier I live the life of a mercenary I have to always protect what i fight for or i will be replaced..it's a cruel world i live in, it's not evil but it is dark." Deawen said with dignity.
Deawen sighed " My Friends It is late and we have a long journey ahead of us. I bid you goodnight" Deawen said with a deep bow eston placed his right hand over his heart and bowed his head at the same time.

*Sen remained quiet for the whole interrogation, allowing Deawen to do what she must. If it were his life on the line, he might have done things differently, yet since it was Deawen's he let her handle it her way. Also, he could see that she was wearied still, and chose to wait until the morning before telling her of the tension between their two groups. He trusted that the Storm could keep control in the ranks. He bowed as she said that they must go to bed, and left without a word.*

golden sand as far as the eye could see surrounded Deawen no trees or grass for miles and no water. the smell of the desert and earthy smell but one that was comforting...the scene changed to a courtyard with ood arches that were narrow at the bottom and bell shaped at top. mosiac walls caught the eye it was peaceful quiet and solitary...
Deawen woke to the feeling of peace a feeling she rarely felt. she sighed in annoyance it was two hours before dawn she guessed. she rolled out of her warm bed to the cold almost frozen ground despite the furs.
Deawen found Eston still asleep in a chair in the first room of the tent
" Eston...Eston.." Deawen called " E--ston" " ESTON!" Eston finally stirred seeing Deawen he was wide awake.
Deawen laughed and walked into the storage part of her tent she rummaged through a barrel of apples she picked out two and then found half a loaf of bread still good. Deawen continued her morning ritual of the black bitter drink (coffee) an apple and bread. Deawen sat down at a writing desk with a stack of parchments. Deawen grumbled through every last paper. Deawen finished as Eston walked in he looked troubled but Deawen didn't look up " if you hand me another parchment to sign i'll rip your head off..." she growled and looked up
" Lady Deawen, the phantoms.. are restless with being so close to the storm they fear a trap that this Storm is nothing more than to lead them to captivity..." Eston reported " Not Likely Lord Eston The Storm are Our allies " Deawen countered but Eston still wasn't convinced " My Lady they still make the phantoms restless they are swifter than our finest horses and they walk into shadows and vanish now tell me thats natural!" Eston Yelled Deawen raised an eyebrow " I am aware of this if you remember Lord Eston I spent time among the storm for as little as it was I learned I was under the protection of Lord Sen the entire time. I am also aware of their 'talents' " Deawen said getting up she didn't like Eston accussing Sen of betraying her " Lord Eston no word of this leaves this tent " she commanded.

Morwen left Deawen's tent and entered her own. She pulled out a few woolen blankets and a fur and laid down on her cot. She lay with the covers up to her chin and stared alternately at the ceiling and the dying fire, trying not to think. Just before she fel asleep, she muttered, "I hate winter."

outside the tent the phantoms began packing tents saddling up horses they were laughing and yelling, throwing snowballs at each other ignoring their officers protests. Deawen stepped outside dispite Estons protests for her to travel with an armed guard " oh stop Eston, there is only two people in this world that i listen to Lord Sen and Drad other than that you'll have to do better than that!" Deawen truged through the light snow. On her way Deawen was often stopped by her phantoms asking her if she was alright and basic gossip.
Deawen walked with Eston close at hand for protection and so she could talk with him. " Eston Do you Know Who Gandalf is? " Deawen asked Eston was silent for a while " Yes I have heard of him Gandalf the grey...don't know anything about him" Eston replied " What about Lothlorien?" Deawen asked " only stories lady Deawen tales of her being a witch. of how people go to the wood but never return..' Eston answered slowly " that doesn't help Eston... I fear Lord Sen is leading us to a world We fear" Deawen said
( Sen I'll let you do the journey part since you know where we are going)

Morwen was rudely awoken by a snowball that bashed the outside of the tent on the canvas right by her head. She opened her eyes (virtually the only part of her that was not under the blankets) and looked around for her overdress. She saw it on her chair. Across the tent. It was cold. She groaned inwardly and grudgingly got out of bed. She threw some kindling on the fire and began to lace up the dress. When the fire was bigger, she put some water in a pot and threw in some corn meal. So, gruel it was for breakfast. As she stood stirring the watery mixture, there was a ripping sound as a dagger came whirring into the tent and buried itself in the wood of her traveling chest. She dropped her spoon and flew outside, only to find the same young Phantoms pelting each other with snowballs. Furious, she went back inside. The dagger was unmarked, and looked free of any poison. "A warning," she decided.

*Sen was sitting outside, the morning still early, and cooking a small pot of porridge for his officers. They all sat around the fire, their armor closer to the coals to warm them up before putting them on. Sen's armor was in his travel bags, however; he had his own methods of warming them up when he needed them. Without warning, a snowball whizzed through the group, and landed straight on the fire, putting it out. One of the younger officers stood up, and shouted over to the phantoms.*
Hey! Watch where you are throwing those!
*There was a moment of silence, before Sen spoke softly.*
Sit down, Keyrn. It is fine.
*Sen put his hand over the wet wood, and within seconds, it was dry and crackling with fire again. He dished out the porridge, and cut one slice of an apple to each for seasoning. He pulled some cinnamon out of a small pouch, and sprinkled the brown powder over his own porridge, before offering it around. Sen sighed, as many of the officers were still tense.*
I'll go and speak with Deawen.
*He said, and got up, taking his porridge with him.*
Do not forget to save some seconds for me.
*He said over his shoulder, just as Raelun was going for another big spoon full.*
Everyone laughed, and Sen continued on his way to find Deawen, his black cloak hanging loosely over his shoulders; he had other ways of keeping warm.*

Snowballs flew through the air as the sun came up so did the snow ball fights increase. Deawen didn't mind it kept moral up but she had forgotten about the Storm not being as carefree as her phantoms.
Deawen whistled and Aernel came up sleepy looking. " Harken Phantoms!" Deawen shouted her voice carried throughout the camp the phantoms instantly stood at attention in front of thier tents.
and roll call took place.
thirty minutes later
" My Brothers! today as we march we will practice our riding manuvers.." Deawen was interruptted by groans " we have to be ready for an attack at any moment! We are The Best we Serve No King No lord Only Us! but to stay our best we need to be in top Shape Like the Rohirrim Our horses are our Pride but our fighting skills is what gives us the adventure..Do you want to lose that?" a roaring No answered " good, now Ride Out!"
Deawen turned and left the assembly triumph and pride glowed around her. The Snow balls ceased the camp practically vanished tents gone soldiers swarming around with horses waiting for the formation to hold. Deawen was on horseback, Overlooking her phantoms with Eston at Her Side. Deawen wore no Armor a simple black over shift and her furlined cloak. Eston however wore his full armor shield included.

Morwen finished folding and rolling her tent and attached her traveling chest to her saddlebag. With a final yank, everything was secure. Her mail shirt was cold under her leather cuirass, even with her thick wool cloak with the sheep skin lining and fur collar. Her gloves were only serving to make her hands colder. Just as she was preparing to mount, Eston rode by in full regalia, trying to seem important. Morwen rolled her eyes and mounted, trotting after him. "Good morning, Eston! Hu faraneth est (how goes it)?" "Better this morning. Yourself?" he asked cheerfully. Morwen took out the warning dagger and handed it to him. "You tell me. Is this familiar?" she asked. He frowned, "It looks like it was crafted in Rohan. But the lack of ornamentation suggests that it was made for peasants. I would guess it came from the Wildmen." Morwen smiled grimly, taking the cold metal back. "Thankyou. I know just who it belongs to." She wrode towards the perimeter of the camp.

Eston followed Morwen " Lady Morwen if you think it is who i think it is then it would not be wise to confront this now!' he called and gallopedback to Deawen.
while the morning was still young Deawen had the Phantoms practicing riding manuvers, while waiting for Sen command to ride out. Banners and standards and Horses manes and tails fluttered in the breeze. The phantoms used complicated riding patterns suited for thier Smooth gaited horses It required absolute control and focus, However some of the younger phantoms that did not have horses at the time were busy throwing snowsballs at each other or anyone that happened to walk by. Deawen didn't want to spoil their fun by shouting at them to stop she had a better plan. She had Eston make five snowballs then dip the missles into water then to set them back into the snow to harden. when this was done he handed her one she ran her hand over the glassy surface judging the distance. Finally she drew her arm back and lobbed the ice ball at the first young prankster. it hit him right at the neck! the threw the second one and hit him in the chest this continued till she was out of snowballs. Eston looked up at her " you know that isn't very sporting.." Deawen shrugged " they know better, sides I wanted to have some fun" Eston rolled his eyes " I don't think using ice counts" " Your just jealous because i thought of it first.." Deawen laughed and rode over to her fallen victims, they scrambled to attention Deawen rode proud " If you want to pick on people that is fine...but remember there is always someone bigger and meaner...." Deawen said scolding them they couldnt have been more than 17 " I will not allow My Phantoms to be bullies to each other I dont' think you want an entire senior unit to drag you out of your tents to be pelted and left in the snow.. " Deawen warned " as punishment for your actions you will have dish duty and sentry duty tonight..." all five of the young phantoms groaned but maintained ranks Deawen looked down at them and said very softly " that is all" then rode off to wait.

Morwen spotted exactly who she wanted to see. Garnath was riding out of the line as his unit was taking a break. She wrode in front of him and charged, using her standard to knock him out of the saddle. She dismounted, put her foot on his neck, and slammed his dagger into the ground, just missing his ear. "Next time you wish to give me a message, give it to me straight in the face, nædre!" With that, she leapt on to Cam-Ria and galloped to the more friendly side of the force.

Eston watched Morwen he rooled his eyes and sighed Deawen Looked down at him and followed his gaze. Deawen smiled it was good that morwen didnt' let anyone bully her.
Eston grew impatiant " couldn't we move out now Im sure the storm could catch up in time " Eston complained Deawen once again looked down at him she snorted " Because.." Deawen was interrupted by a scout rider approaching. his horse was tired and dripping his message was no better
" up north is Argo with a force of 900 he is trying to blockade the way north. Not only that but Scouts of the Rohirrim have spotted us Im sure in five days they will intercept us..." the scout reported Deawen was silent
and grim " and Drads forces?" Deawen asked " not far from here about a days ride." " good that is all "
Deawen dismounted and paced she was trapped she had a feeling that Argo sent a messenger to the rohirrim announcing her position. with Gondor at her heels Rohirrim and Mordor at her flanks Argo ahead things were not looking up. Not to mention dealing with the elves once reaching Lothlorien. Deawen hated Elves and they hated her, knowing her luck once she entered lothlorien they would not let her leave to pass a chance to contain Middle earths elusive villain..would be a mistake.
we serve our cause and no one elses first.. we do not obey so we are not loved Drad once told her and it was true.

Morwen overheard the intelligence as she rode up to the little huddle. "Who is leading the Rohirric force?" shje asked with no introduction.

*Just then, Sen arrived at the small group. He approached Deawen, and spoke quietly with her, after greeting everyone else.*
It seems like tensions are high between our two forces, my lady. We must move now, for every day it takes to reach the trees of Lothlorien, the tension might give rise to hostilities. With your leave, my lady, I will give the order to continue. My men are packed, even as we speak.
*Sen waited for an answer, seeing in Deawen's face that this was not the only matter that troubled her.*
