I like Aiden too! I read that the writers wanted to "shake things up" on Atlantis. Why they chose to do that by killing off Carson, I don't know. Grrr indeed

If they wanted to shake things up they should have done it in a more inventive way...

Like have a new character come in, or have atlantis be "programed to fly somewhere else by the ainchents and they go to a different planet" or something besides killing on the main characters...

They could have brought Aiden back!

They only have one ZPM, so I don't think they have enough power to be able to fly to another planet, but if they did that would be very interesting. I'm not quite sure I want aiden back though. I didn't really like his character...Well, its not that I didn't like him, its that hid personality didn't strike a cord with me. He didn't have any distinguishing characteristics. Now, as a freaky wraith druggy with a rat eye, he's pretty interesting. Though it would be interesting to see him go through detox.

I agree that there are a lot of other things they could have done besides killing off Carson. Introduce a new race, bring in new characters, have them discover some new technology in Atlantis, etc. Even if they were dead set on killing somebody off, why'd it have to be Carson?

And, what are your thoughts on the fact that this is the last season for SG-1? Personally, I'm slightly mad, but I understand that they are running out of ideas and less and less people are watching it, so SciFi is going to replace it with a new show (don't know what yet, but I hope its good).

Unfortunately mate, its not going to happen. Stargate SG-1 is done for sure. There are going to be movies, however.

I haven't watched the whole episode, just the climax and ending. I didn't quite cry, but I almost did at the part, too, timx4! "You were the closest thing to a best friend I ever had."

Okay, for any in the US, Sunday is airing in three weeks this comming Friday (counting this one (I think)). That is weird that it comes out in Britian first as it is an American series (although it is filmed in Canada).

But, WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are making a new Stargate series!!!

It is called Stargate Universe, and while not based off of SG-1, it still should be an awsome show, because its in the Stargate universe.


Oh, and the movies are direct release DVD movies with the names Stargate: Continuum and Stargate: The Ark of Truth. And Richard Dean Anderson is back and playing a major role in Continuum!
