The eye-patch guy was cool in the beginning, except for the shooting of Sayid. But, he looked too young to be a part of the cold war....which bothered me a bit...but oh well....I'm probably wrong.
The cows just made me laugh hysterically! And it explained the horse from last season.
And Sawyer takin' on Hurley! FWEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH! The cat! That prettyful cat! They just left it behind! *swears profusely* And it's name was Nadia...OooooOOOoohhH!

LadyOfRohan, Um I didn't really like the eye patch dude. It's pefectly fine that you did/do though. He just kind of annoyed me and scared me. lol He seemed like an allright fighter I suppose.
I think that we are supposed to see them some time in the future but haven't been told when yet. If I'm not mistaken I read that "we're not done with Walt and Michael's story yet.." or something along those lines. However I could allways be wrong.
MontanaBohemian Ooh, I felt sorry for that cat too. I thought that it being Nadia at first was cool since it was named after a gymnasit but then there was the woman Nadia whom they had in the flashbacks and everything...So it really started to creep me out.

JF, Here's your recap. I'm on the ball tonight.
Tonight's episode was about Sayid. The flash backs were of him working at a resturaunt, a bit older guy asking him if he cooked the food that he was eating, Sayid said yes, the man said that it was great and offered him a job because they were both outsiders, because he would give him twice the pay that he was currently working for, and because his chef had quite, then the guy asked him where he was from, Sayid said Iraque (I hope that I am spelling that correctly ), the man said that he was no more from Iraque than he was a young man. Okay, so the guy asked Sayid what his name was, Sayid gave him a fake name, the guy told him that if he was interested in being a chef for him to met him at his resturaunt latter, awhile latter Sayid came to the guy's resturaunt, he introduced Sayid to his wife, they shook hands, he asked the woman (Nadia, I'm pretty sure) if "this was him", then Nadia said yes, and the guys who had been sitting at the table got up and started beating Sayid up. So her husband kept him locked up, Sayid kept asking him awhy, he said because he had tourtured his wife, Sayid denied doing such and claimed that they had got him mixed up with somebody else, the husband of Nadia said no that his wife had reconized him by just catching a glance at him at the place were he worked, Sayid said that he had been in the Republican Guard and gave them his real name but that he had not been the one to question his wife, latter Nadia and her husband begged Sayid to admit to what he had done to her, and he continued to say that they had gotten him mixed up with somebody else. So a while latter Nadia came to see Sayid be herself and told him a story of how she had saved her cat from mean people who had treated it very badly, Sayid broke down crying and admited that he was the one who had tourtured her, she said that she forgave him and that she would tell her husband that she had gotten him mixed up with somebody else and that Sayid would be realesed, Sayid asked her why, she said because everyone was capable of doing what was done to her cat but that she didn't want to do that or be like that, and then she left. As for what happened in present...Locke, Kate, and Sayid came to a house, Sayid approched it un-armed to try not to seem as a threat, the eye patch dude stuck himself out of the window and shot Sayid in the arm and he came outside, Kate and Locke caught him off gaurd, and they ended up going into the house with the patch dude ( He gave a/his name but I can't prounounce it to save my life. Let alone spell it. Sorry. Can somebody else here help me out with this one?), he treated Sayid's arm, said that he was a member of Dharma that that he was alone and that he liked it that way. He also mentioned that the island and what not and made talk about the "Hostiles". Once he finished with Sayid's arm he offered them tea, when he had gone to get the tea, Sayid whispered to Kate that he was not telling them the truth, Kate asked why they were still sitting there, and Sayid said because patch dude wasn't alone. Elswhere in the house Locke was playing on the computer ...chess to be exact, and patch dude had walked in earlier and told him not to bother that he had played it himself for years and that it cheated, Locke kept on playing. So patch dude gave Sayid and Kate their tae, Sayid Kate and patch dude talked for a minute about Sayid getting away from the Others and how they had manged to kill one awhile back when they had taken his sail boat, patch dude asked why they where still playing this little game, they all got into this big fight...yes with the one eyed man the injured armed Sayid and Kate who got a hold of a riffle and still barely held her own. ...(though it was quite a site...entertaining I do say so. nods), Sayid and Kate pined him down, Locke came out of the room that he had been in....gun in hand, Sayid told him to fetch some rope, and they tied him up. So Sayid told Locke about patch dude not being alone, Locke said that he had seachered the house so they must be hiding pretty good, Sayid tossed the rug that was slightly to the left and underneath tehm, there was a trap door, Sayid and KAte took their guns and left Locke to watch patch dude while the looked around down in the trap door room. Locke stood there for a moment guarding patch dude, he started glancing at the computer room, walked back to play chess, won the game, it gave him instructions of how to conntact tha mainland, he did what it told him, it said that communications were down (the satalite outside on the hoouse wasn't working another words), adn then patch dude came over to him adn put a knife to his neck. Meanwhile Kate and Sayid wondered through the trap door room, Sayid found books tittled Dharam what and another and pulled one out that had stuff about missions of Dharam. While Sayid was doing that Kate was taken by surprise by one of the women who had been there when Jack Saywer and herself had been captured earlier on in the season, Sayid came to her rescue, Kate said that she had been there whem she Jack and Saywer had been captured, they all went up stairs, Locke called for them to come outside, they did so and saw patch dude with a captured Locke. Um, patch dude suggested a trade the girl for Locke, the woman spoke to him ina different lanuage, he sauid no about something, she said just do it, patch dude shot the girl, and they all went to fighting again. Locke Sayid and Kate captured patch dude, met up with Danielle, Sayid took patch dude and Danielle met, patch dude said that when they were off guard that he would kill them, Danielle watned Sayid to kill patch dude, Sayid had the cat flash back and said that patch dude was his prisoner and that he would decide his fate. Then Locke and Kate met up with them, the house exploded...(the computer which Locke had played around with, told him that if the hostiles invaded to enter 7 7 and he did which caused the house to explode), Sayid has a map leading to somewhere withwater and what not (which he got form one of the Dharma books), Sayid yelled at Locek for blowing up their only chance of making contact with the main land, Sayid got up, and it went off. AS for anything else to do with them all through the episode we kept seeing a cat that looked like Naida's cat.
As for what went on on the island Saywer said that he wanted his stuff back, they decided that he could win his stuff back by beating their best player at ping pong (they found some wood that would work for a table out in the jungle and a make shift ball and paddles from somewhere), Saywer said that he would take them on, If Saywer won he got his stuff back if not he had to refrain from using nicknames on any of them for a week, Hurly and Saywer played, Saywer lost. Saywer was sitting at his tent, Hurly came up to and said that he had done good since he had played in his mother's basment and at "instisti-this place that I used to hang out at for awhile" Saywer pretty well told him to shove it and started to use one of his fameous nicknames, Hurly gave him his magazines back and told him that he was Hurly or Hugo if he wanted, Hurly said that he did it because he knew that Saywer was the type of guy who needed stuff, Saywer asked him if he was now a shrink, and Hurly didn't really answer for a moment. Hurly said that he knew that Saywer was worried about Kate but that she would be fine, Saywer stood up made a snide comment called him Hugo and left. That's pretty well the long and short of it.

To be honest what I got from it was that Sayid is a dog, Locke is stupid, Kate is a sorry fighter, Saywer is going to have a hard time without his nicknames, and Hurly should be a professional ping pong player. According to Hurly Sawyer even got hit in the forehead with the ping pong ball. I wonder how many times they have wanted to hit in the head with something. Sorry I couldn't help myself.

Well it already is airing in the UK, but not on a channel we have. I'm waiting for my brother to bring us the episodes that have been shown so far. It will probably be a week or so before I see them, even when he does give them to us.

I'm not entirely sure what the point of Sayid's flashback was. I mean, why did Nadia get her husband to beat him up? I don't see the point of that, as it was because of Sayid that she escaped.

Where did they find this house? How did they find it? Was it deep in the jungle or was it just somewhere they had never looked before?

And the woman who was under the trap-door, what was her job back with the Others?

Do we presume that Mr. Eye-Patch is an Other...a Dhama....or someone else? If he isn't an Other, why did he have an Other hidden?

JF, Thanks I was all hyped up last night (from all of my tv watching). So I went ahead and worked on it.
Don't worry about it. Let me see if I can answer any of your questions...
Outside of the patch dude's house there was a horse. He mentioned that he had been in the cold war and that the Hostiles had taken two of his cows. Weird I know but that's what he said.
It was out in the jungle. When Sayid walked up to the house patch dude yelled something about "I didn't cross the line". He said that he had made a deal with the Hostiles (whom had been there a klong long time before the Dharma was...according to him) that the island had wires around it that could act as lines, he didn't cross to their part and they didn't cross to his. Um, it was pretty well out in the jungle is the way that I took it.
As far as I could tell she was just one of the Others who helped capture Sawyer, Kate, and Jack. She was in a yellow shirt with a blue bandanna. if that helps any.
I think that he is one of the Others. He confessed at the end that he had been a member of the Dharma but that he wasn't anymore. Sayid got off talking how he could use this map that he found to search for this powerful place with enough water and so forth for an entire community...(I'm thinking that that is where Ben and the other Others are/were) but patch dude thought that he was talkinga bout him and said that he wouldn't lead them there. So I would be guessing that he knew where the Others where. Therfore I would say that is with the Others.

I loved last nights episode! It was the best one since the hiatus . Poor Sawyer got his butt whooped by Hurley lol and Locke playing chess was love .

Hmm...well he obviously wasn't expecting Sayid, Locke etc, so him saying "I didn't cross any lines" seems to suggest he was expecting an Other to arrive, telling him off for something. If he is an Other, he wouldn't be needing telling off, and therefore wouldn't be mentioning a line if that makes any sense? On the other hand (no pun intended) why would there be an Other with him, who seemed to realise she needed to be killed by him (for some reason)?.

I really have no idea who he is. He could be lying, so he's either an Other, a Dhama person.....or more worringly...someone else....

I agree. It was confussing. I really don't know who he is either. lol I was just taking an educated guess there. However your theory makes sense too. So now I have no idea.
Well, it didn't show the entire ping pong game. However they did show the first serve...Hurly shot it right past him and the face that Saywer made...was priceless.

Walt and Michael will most likely be back next season. The writers said they didn't like how they left their story sort of hanging and said they wanted to tell what happens to them. You know whether or not they made it home and it may be possible that they come back.

Does your brother read recaps with you or has he gotten a hold of the episodes over the internet or something? Have you seen them yet? However they haven't actually aired on a channle that you get correct? Sorry...I'm very confused.

(nearly hyperventalates) ~~~ Spoiler Warning for anybody who has yet to see the commercial for next week's Lost.~~~ They said that a hidden connection would be uncovered (or something along those lines) between two of these islanders (then they showed Jack, the Chinesse girl, Claire, Kate, Saywer, Locke, and maybe Charlie/Desmond depending on you look at it). Who do you think that they are talking about. We are supposed to find out whether or not Jack and Claire are half siblings in this one I believe was what I heard last...So that's what they are probabley talking about right? However on this other board that I was lurking on...they have me freaking out...they are questioning whether or not they could be talking about Kate and Sawyer... ...I don't want to have another Jammy (long story....soap couple that I couldn't stand whom they utterly ruined one huge step at a time...sorry but it's what this possable Lost story line reminds me of) on tv...they can't take Saywer and Kate down that downward spiraling, character wrecking plot driven path...I can't bear to watch that...not again. (cries until there is a huge puddle of tear water up to my ankles). Ooh, I can't stand to watch that happen to my very favorite romantic couple on all of television.
Okay I am flat out begging...somebdoy please please please tell me that they are talking about Jack and Claire or anybody other than Kate and Sawyer (with both of them being the one of the islanders involed in this story line)! (gets on hands and knees) Please.

Ok, I can see that what I said is confusing. Me and my LOST-fan brother can no longer watch LOST as it is aired, because the channel that used to own it, lost the rights so it moved to SKY, which we don't have. My other brother (the one who has SKY) is taping them for us, but he'll only bring them when he comes, so I reckon by the time he comes in 2 weeks, we'll have quite a few to watch. No, he doesn't read them, but every Thursday I come here, re-read everything everyone's told me (to refresh my mind) and tell him what happened. I am the source of LOST informtaion.

Ooh, goodie. That should be good to find out something definite for once. I saw some very spoilerish pictures on LOST media of Claire, so I'll be very interested to know how the episode goes.

Hmmm.....well I think it will be Claire and Jack, I mean it's not as if everyone worked out there could be a possible connection between them, so the reveletaion won't come as a surprise to some people. If everyone had pretty much guessed they could be step-siblings, I would say it would be someone else. I can't see it being Kate and Sawyer really. It would destroy the only real romance on the island so.....they should be safe.

True. You have made some Very good points. It will probabley be Jack and Claire after all. I hope that you are right. I agree they are the only concret romance that we have left (for the time being) and I couldn't stand it if they were to take that away from us. I need to have a little romance on my show every now and again...just to make it even between the confusing but brillant plots and good/bad/unkown/and inbetween characters that we love to hate or love to love and what not...just to give a little balance. Trouble in a relationship on television is fine with me...especialy the drama kind, injuries and true blue romance are my favorite thing to watch...but that would just take it a bit farther than I would like. Sorry no offence meant to anyone but it's just not my cup of tea.

JF, That's really cool...everything except for your brother not liking LotR. Well, hey if he's willing to tape Lost, maybe he will get into LotR too. Seeing as how they are both great.
It certainly isn't long now. Ooh, i can't wait til Wensday but at the same time I'm kind of nervous to see how this whole thing plays out. Um, I know that this probabley has no chance what so ever of hapening but just to say what if it did happen...what if Sawyer and Jack were (half) brothers? Uh, or what if Claire and Kate were half sisters? I know that these things are probabley not going to happen but they are just random thoughts that I came up with.
A movie like a theater movie or a televsion movie? Well, either way I think that I would like it. It might be a very nice way to finish the series at the end of season 5. That would be cool. Another thing that I think would be cool is if they had a marathon. Showed all of the episodes from start to finish all week and then on Friday night had the big final episode. I know that that won't happen either but once again I was just dreaming and being random...

Alright, here I am...very late...I watched the episode on Sunday but couldn't get my lazy butt to reply here until...now Sorry if I don't reply very far back - I'm only reading the posts that are showed on the "topic review" thing as I type this XD

First - why are we all of a sudden writing "spoilers" before we talk...spoiler-ish? We never did before So anyway, I guess my whole post from here on out will be a SPOILER WARNING

So, what I thought of the episode: It was good, but not my favorite this half of the season. I did like Sayid finally being a big role though!

I think you guys are a little confused on the eye-patch guy, though...or I could be wrong. But this is what I think:

At first, when Sayid was questioning Eye-Patch (that's what I'll call him! LOL!), Eye-Patch said that he was an engineer-type person during the Cold War a long time ago. Then, when the Cold War ended, he had no job, so he signed up for this job saying that he could help save the world - this job ended up being the Dharma Initiative. He said that the cows that the "Hostiles" took were there for the Dharma people, but when the Hostiles came, he just let them have the cows. I don't know WHY he had cows, but he did. THEN, later, once Sayid, Locke, Kate, and Eye-Patch were leaving the house, Sayid asked Eye-Patch if he was really Dharma, and Eye-Patch said NO. So I believe that Eye-Patch is definitely one of the Others; that's why he was hiding another Other (lol ). And he probably just yelled out "I didn't cross the line" when Sayid came up as a precaution - in case it WAS Sayid or one of our 'good guys' coming, then they'd assume that Eye-Patch was good guy.
I think that might clear up a little confusion. I'm not sure though

Other thoughts....Oh! That Other that Eye-Patch was hiding: She was tall, black, wears a turban/head wrap thing all the time, and she's very calm - almost scary. She was in Season 2: she was the creepy lady who was talking to Michael and Walt when Michael went to the Others camp to save Walt.

On a totally random note - I loved the ping pong match between Sawyer and Hurley!! I just knew that Hurley would whoop Sawyer's butt! I have a blend of their match as my destkop right now Anyway, I think that Sawyer giving up nicknames for a week will be very hard for him!

I can't believe tomorrow is already Wednesday! I'm all out-of-whack because I didn't watch the episode until Sunday I can't wait to see who the connection is between though! I personally think it will NOT be Sawyer/Kate (It can't be! I completely agree with you DD about that!! ), and I doubt that it will be Jack/Claire. Jack/Claire just seems too...obvious. But I could be wrong. I don't really know who it will be! I can't wait to find out though!

Also - talk of a Lost MOVIE?? That would just....send me into a VERY VERY VERY happy place! *dies*

OK, I think I've responded to almost everything now....I've got to keep checking this thread more regularly LOL Then I won't have these issues

Hmmm...that's a rather obscure theory I have to say. I very much doubt they would have our three main characters related somehow.

Lol, Gil. Because DD's speakers on her computer don't work, she couldn't watch a spoiler interview with M.E, so I typed it out for her, and because there were spoilers being revealed that hadn't been shown in any episodes, we labelled them spoilers.

That's for that Gil. That make sense to me about Eye-Patch. I'm not sure if he is an Other or not though....should find out myself in just over a week though....*squee*..

AHA! I was only talking to my brother about that Other, the "other" day! She seemed to me to be someone in the psychological or medical profession and I wondered why we had never seen her since Kate, Jack and Sawyer were kidnapped.

*pokes Gil* Erm...who was it until a few months ago never even thought about the Jack/Claire connection? Personally, I don't think a lot of people have twigged to that connection - it's not blaringly obvious with bright red arrows pointing at them (like the Others have which is why I believe they are good people - it's too obvious that they're bad) so that's why I think they are the two that have a connection.

Well the producer at the Hawaiian film festival mentioned a movie is possible, it may not happen though which won't matter because it will just be another episode or two.
