I can see your dilemma.
It's not likely to sell out or go out of print.

OMG!! I finally got to go see it. Right when i went to go buy my ticket, they said that they only had invdivudal setting so you mighty not be able to sit with your friend. So i got my tickets and then my friend was buying her ticket and they said 300 is sold out..I thought I had to go see the movie by myself.but she got her ticket.
THe movie was great! the CGI was great as well. It was supposed to be gory and everything but i didnt think it was that gory. I thought Underworld: Evolution was gorier. I get really emotinal at movies i cried at the end, it was sad. anyways i thought that huge orgy was quite distubring for me at least.
*spoiler talk*
It was so sad that the Captain's son died! and right when he was smiling at his father...quite wierd that they didn't hear the horse coming the actor was quite cute thought

I saw 300 yesterday and I totally loved it! It really is an amazing movie!
I did not find it all that gory, but I thought it was done very well. I also thought the effects were amazing. And all the actors are hot too! David Wenham's character is very cool (and not to mention Hot ) and I loved how he narrated through out.
****** Spoiler******
LOTRFreak13, I know what you mean about the Captain's son. That scene broke my heart to see him smiling and happy and then the next he was dead! When I saw that horse coming, I had a bad feeling and sure enough
Also loved how the queen took care of that guy towards the end!
300 is awesome!!!

I got in to see it only because I went during school hours. It's still sold out here. OH! It's made over 70 million dollars this weekend, meaning it has the third highest grossing opening weekend for an "R" rated film ever.
No, it wasn't particularly gory. The blood there was was pretty stylized. The fights were choreographed amazingly too.
The part where Xerxes' concubines were seducing Ephialtes was bizarre. But Xerxes did get a good line.
I really liked:
Astinos (The captain's son)
Leonidas
Stelios (The "Then we will fight in the shade" guy)
Dilios (David's character)
On the whole hot guy topic, one of the girls in the theater practically screamed "Gerard Butler's a*s!" at that one part. My mother couldn't get over the fact that they weren't fully clothed. *Sighs*
And David was far more attractive in this one than in LotR.
All in all I'd give it a 9/10, and I think the rest of the theater would agree, as we all applauded it.
*Spoilers*
That part was sad. I knew they were all going to die anyway, but his was sudden and brutal. He was my favorite too. *cough* Username *cough*
I thought that Leonidas' death was okay though. He was defiant until the end and the look Xerxes had was something along the lines of "OH MY GOD I'M MORTAL!!" It was brilliant.
Theron, on the other hand, got what he deserved. The entire theater applauded.

I really wanted to see it, but me fajah played the guilt trip. Even though I'm seventeen he said he had to check it out to make sure it would be suitable, and then he come up to me and starts talking about how the movie is all about sex and nudity, but I was a grown woman and could choose for myself, but that he still thought it would be very sinful to see it., so I decided against it. I did look at the site my dad looked at, and it does sound rather sexual (not as much as my dad made it out to be) but I do see his point. Maybe there will be an edited version.
David Whenham is in this movie, isn't he? Darn, I really want to see it. Armed, buff men in tiny shorts? Who wouldn't?

^ So go see it. Make up your own mind about it. Considering it's a film with a historical theme, sexuality was quite liberated back then and people made love to anything and everything so it's only giving a true portrayal of the time period. I also have a very hard time seeing the whole movie being one giant orgy. It's probably only a few scenes that don't even take up more than 5 minutes on screen.
I haven't seen the film yet but I've been DYING to ever since I first heard about it!

Nauriel: I COMPLETELY agree with Eru. There were three scenes with nudity. Out of 157 minutes, about 152 were nudity-free.
In other news, I'm getting to see it again on a huge IMAX screen on Thursday! It's going to be amazing!

AWW!!! the IMAX that would be so good looking on the big screen!
I also like Stelios. Astinos
I can't beilve Rodrigo,
Xerxes played that character. In the movie he looks nothing like himself. They made him twice the size of a normal person.
THe Captian (Vincent Reagan) was also the person who played the Captian of the mermyrdians in Troy. He was really cute in Troy but he looked really old in this movie
Love the 6 packs I liked the part were they all come marching out aww. they are all so cute..I think if I had to be put through the training all those men had to be I think I would die the first day
***SPOILER***
I lovd the scene were he jumped up and choppped that guys arm off. And you got to see the whole whip thing. that part was cool
I also like the humor in that movie..Escapilly the one that the Queen gave the Persian messenger.
But i kinda didn't like the orcale part that was kinda wierd. Or the part were they showed all the dead animals get slaughtered..I just don't like to see animals get hurt.

Maybe I will see it....The urge to watch guys in little shorts chop and army to pieces is overwhelming.
Funny thing..The site my dad looked at to review the movie...it said that this movie had homoerotic undertones because a bunch of males were prancing around in very little clothing. Men showering together would be cause for that. Men in short shorts are there simly to make the woman folk drool uncontrollably (which I've done even through the previews)

I saw it yesterday and fell in LOVE! that movie was beautifully shot and everything was just amazing, I laughed and cried and was astonished by the whole outlook of the movie. I actually gasped when I saw Davide Wenham/ Dilios on the screen as the story teller

^YES! Another 300 sig! *High fives* It's pretty funny that we both have the same quote as well.
I can't wait until Thursday! Aaaaah!
Nauriel: I didn't get any of those "undertones." None.
And how could anyone resist the thought of a movie filled with shirtless, muscular men with pointy swords?

*high fives!* I couldn't think of the quote and when I saw yours I just had to use it as well... ^_^ That movie is one of my favorites now! My other favorite quote was
Our arrows will block out the sun
Then we shall fight in the shade!!!!!!!
Nauriel I didn't get those undertones either... I was just too enthralled with the general storyline to pay attention to the shirtless David Wenham

^*Shuns* Nah, not really. The thing with movies made from Frank Miller comics is that you either love them or hate them.
Anyway...
I am ded. D-E-D. 300 on IMAX was just... indescribably awesome. The screen was EIGHT STORIES HIGH. It was huge and the detail was amazing. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. And to top it all off, the theater was full (At a 2:05 PM show on a Tuesday!) and most of us started clapping when the credits rolled.
Phoenix: I got the graphic novel too. 'Tis awesome.
