All it said though was that he wrote the tale of Arwen and Aragorn. Thanx for the rest of the info Elberethsq! Now you're giving me the useful, concrete information Tehe! Thanks. Yes, I remember in the prologue of FotR that they mentioned "Barahir grandson of the Steward Faramir". I could've fallen off my chair - I didn't know Tolkien wrote anything about E/F's children.
Yes I was shocked too. I thought "I need to post this at A-U" and then I forgot and you beat me to it.

lol, that's what my Middle Earth guide says, but it also adds that Barahir may have been the prince of Ithilien and the Steward of Gondor

Yes, you're correct. The duty of the Stewards is just to keep watch of the throne and rule of Gondor while the King is away. There's a House of Stewards. Like queens and kings, the title of a Steward is passed down through the family. I'm not sure if females can become Stewards - or steward esses come to think of it.

Oh-okay that makes sense now. Thanks!

The most moving and surprising chapter in the book for me would have to be "The Battle of The Pelennor Fields"

I also thought The Battle of the Pelennor Fields was moving, loved it. I also loved how Tolkien wrote Shelob's Lair, and The Tower of Cirith Ungol (as Sam's one of my favourite characters).
