I really really want to go see this movie! My best friend went to see it a few days ago, and he could not stop talking about it. I love anything with a historical feel, and I love war movies. I'm just worried that my mother won't take me to go see it. I'm only 15, but I've seen R rated movies before. But I'm afraid that if my mom finds out there's any amount of sex and nudity in it though she won't let me see it. *Pouts* Hopefully I'll be able to persuade her. I've been dying to see this since I first saw the trailer!

Well theres ALOT of nudity. (I think your mom would prolly be most conserned about that). I was a little distrued about it. But during the sex scene you don't see anything. It like what you see in a pg-13 movie

^I really don't think it was a lot of nudity.
Artemis, I think (As I've said before) that it really depends on your maturity level. My little brother wasn't at all bothered, neither was I (I'm 15 as well). Heck, I own films with more sex/nudity than this. It's just breasts and and a butt (To be blunt).

^Good point.
Thank you! Gaspard is so amazing, especially as Hannibal.
I'd really like to see the movie once more while it's in theaters. It's just not going to be the same on a tiny TV screen.
Then there's the fact that about 7/10 of my school has seen it and EVERYONE loved it. It's kind of cool.

^Yeah. And I think "he's a little cutie" too. But yeah, it's about how Hannibal became Hannibal and it wasn't scary at all.
300! ON TOPIC!

Ummmm... what's this about the movie? I watched some pretty unfortunate trailers and previews and all they showed was fighting, some manly brave words, some more fighting, some cliché lines.. some hero cliché lines, a chick in a toga and some more fighting along with screaming and death and ring of steel and cheesy lines.
From the 3 minutes preview I never got the slightest idea of the movie plot, but on the contrary a very appealing look at a lot of shiny, well-trained torsos... But even that was not enough to convince me to watch it... I tend to agree with Kit's post on page one...'cept for the CGI...

Well, besides loving the trailers...
The plot is this: 300 Spartans must save the entire frickin' world from an invincible army of Persians. You get about 30 minutes of character development and then it's fighting until the end credits.
I do agree that they could have done a bit better job showing the plot in the trailers but oh well.
If shiny, muscular torsos and giant battles aren't enough to keep you interested for 2+ hours, this is not the movie for you.
I've seen it five times.

Hmm.. why does this remind me of Troy?
I didn't like Troy because it as historically inaccurate and the plot too thin and hmm.. too much clueless fighting... BUT, it got a bronze-covered Brad Pitt and so I just kept swooning over him for two hours and survived!!
300 got David Wenham...!!!
But... again I'm not sure he can save the movie...

^It's better than Troy. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Troy.
And David doesn't save the movie...
...he just makes it even better.

But... you're male... can you even give reliable, subjective evaluation on bronze-covered torsos?

Yes, I think I can.
Mr. Pitt's hair just didn't work in Troy. In 300 David looks the best I've ever seen him.

"think" being the crucial word in that sentence...
