Rachel stumbled along after Roy, clinging to Mark's hand. She had no idea what was going on, but to say it was frightening her would be an understatement. She tripped in the darkness, grabbed Roy's arm to keep from falling, and kept running.

Hannah was still pressing herself against the wall, she knew that she had to run, but couldn't. She slowly got forward with the support of leaning against the wall. Finally she stopped, not able to go any further. She knew she had to keep fighting, but she couldn't handle the whole thing anymore.

Zrglst's heat-sensing vision was coming in handy. A massive reptilian arm erupted out of the wall next to Hannah and reached over for her. Down the sewer hall one could see other, smaller aliens sniffing about.

Hannah began to scream louder as the alien's arm came out of the wall. She tried to move on, but she couldn't. "Help!!!" she screamed while the arm was trying to reach her. "Help!!! Help me!!! Help!!!" Then she moved to the floor, sat down completely hurled up, in panic, trying not to move or make any noise.

Kai was obliviouse to the world standing over Bella tears in his eyes. "Why sis? Why?" He thought for a moment "You stupid *beep*, you fought so that that Mark kid could run...you never would have otherwise. Mum always said you had a savior complex, and though you may have prefered to run, you would never hesitate to fight if needed...i bet you gave the kid a message of love for Roy as well...no unfineshed buissness." He bent down and cut off a lock of her silky hair. "I swear you're sacrifice will not have been in vain sister." he straitened up;

"Help!!! Help me!!! Help!!!"

Sh.it that was Hannah's voice. He finally came out of his trance and looked up, to see the tenticle feeling around for her. "Yeah...mum said i had a savior complex too." he began sprinting towards her and arrived at the same time as Jimmy, pulling out his pen knife he cut the end off the tenticle and grabbed Hannah, throwing her over his shoulders.

Hannah didn't realize anything anymore, she closed her eyes, whimpering. She just waited that the alien would kill her. Suddenly she was grabbed by someone. She couldn't see who it was, she gripped the shirt of the person and held on tight. "Thank you", she sobbed. "Thank you...thank you..." Then she slowly began to drift into half sleeping because of fear and exhaution.

It was rooted in him, dammit, to do good. From age one he had learned how to serve others before himself, to be selfless, to be a hero. The kind of boy who gave his lunch to the stray dog, and walked old lady's across the street. But just once- it wasn't paying off.

Rachel's screams pained his ears, and drew him back. He had to go... he couldn't leave them.

Grabbing Ariel firmly by the shoulders he gave her a desperate look, a much more haggard young man than she had met several days ago.

"Stay with her," gesturing to Rachel, "And the boy. Get them out."

He hated trusting a psycho girl, but at the moment it was all he had. He bolted back to the alien, yelling at Kai, "Go! Get her out of here!" Pushing Jimmy slightly out of the way, he reached for the gun tucked in his pants... but...it wasn't there!

Frantically he looked about, a wild shock coming in his eyes.

The massive alien forced the rest of his mass through the wall and released a gas to neutralize everyones movements but leave them conscious. The yellow cloud billowed over the humans.

The gas began to creep up behind him and Kai ran as fast as he could, but he was hampered by Hannah's weaight. he stubled and fell, then pulled himself back up. Hannah was half asleep, he grabbed her and svagely kissed her. "Hannah please, if only for me run becuse if you don't you'll die, and i can't lose the two people i love most in the same day....please." He hadn't even thought about saying, it had simply been torn form his soul. He began runiing again, with her holding onto his hand blindly.

Hannah didn't realize that she was running again. She looked behind and saw the yellow gas slowly creeping through the sewers. She didn't know what she was doing, she didn't even know where they were right now, she just continued running as fast as she could manage like Kai had told her, not able to feel or realize a single thing anymore. "I'm tired", she whispered, closing her eyes half, still running. "I'm so tired."

"You have to keep running please..please Hannah, we'll just get out of here and somewhere safer and then we can stop but you have to keep going" he half dragged, half ran with her, the gas creeping inexorably towards them.

Rachel kept running blindly, still holding tightly to Ariel and Marks' hands. As she ran, she felt her legs start going numb, then her arms. Her pace slowed, but she tried to force herself to keep going.
