Oh, I saw that. I thought Jason Isaacs was brilliant in that movie. Well I liked everyone but Mel Gibson but Jason Isaacs stuck more than the rest. He was incredibly cold and sadistic in that role. Jason said he was like prepared for roles like these when he was a child because he had three brothers in the house and things got really competitive and he was bullied a lot in school and at home.

Aye, he was amazing in The Patriot! Of course, I mostly watched it just so I could drool over Jason Isaacs, but the movie was nicely done overall as well.

i think i've only seen jason isaacs in the latest peter pan, but i thought he was great as the father and as hook - he really captured both of the characters perfectly. and that's a big thing coming from me, because peter pan is one of those books i get really protective over and i'm normally really critical of other representations of it.

Don't really have an oppinion, since my experiences with it are so limited... The last time I was in GB, I stayed in London... and London is just priced!! But if I may add something, I'd like to know what you think about still having your own currency, though most of Europe use the Euro.

^ i'm very proud that we still have our own currency. gildas said in the 6th century (i think) that we were "rebelling, stiff-necked and haughty" and we haven't changed one bit - we will stubbornly cling to the pound to the last!
erm, i don't really know about the cost of living - i've nothing to compare it to. i'm limping by on my student loan at the moment.

Can't say I know either...the only thing I know the cost of is a Mars Delight bar
I want to keep the pound, though. I don't really like the EU, so I'd hate getting the Euro..
Heh, England V Spain is on TV... only a matter of time before we score...

Having our currency definitely makes things a lot easier than in other places in Europe. I don't know much about housing costs or anything, but I do know that certain foods and clothing items can definitely be quite expensive and gasoline is the worst. I really can't say much else. The most I buy myself if a tea, clothing, or books. Books aren't too bad though...
[@ Eä: Hehe.. I don't quite understand why people never include the little accent above the A. It's very easy to do and only takes a second. I'm glad to have caused some happiness though.]

We had about 3 - 4 inches of snow here I made a massive snow ball. (I'll see if I can get it posted at some point )
And I like the pound. My prefer it to the euro And I think the cost of living here is insane. I don't have much first hand experience, but I know everything is rather expensive, especially in the south.

Hmm.. I guess I should pay more attention. I've never really looked at housing/living costs. But.. since I'll be out of the house eventually I probably should start looking around.
Ooh, do take pics of the snow! We haven't had a good snowfall once this year!

And, to top it all, we get two snow days off school. This is so awesome
