JF, Niki and Paulo "died". Here is your recap.
Through falshbacks we learn that Niki was an actress and that that was why she was in Australia. See she had gotten her big brake on a hit series called "Exsposa". The producer (who was a Much older man) yelled cut and Niki ran to him and kissed him. We see Niki and Zuker (the producer) at his mansion eating, Niki says that the food is wonderfull, the new chef (Paulo) is summoned and told that Niki is a new fan of his, Niki and Paulo smiled, Paulo walked out, Zuker insisted on Niki eating a home made roll, she picked one up and there was a beutiful braclet attached to it, she smiled thanked him, he said that it wasn't an engagment ring...yet, and then he died. Paulo raced in the room checked his pulse, said that he was gone, Niki pulled a necklace from around his neck that had a key attached to it, Paulo and Niki headed for a back room, Niki said that they had poisned him, they opened a vault, got a little black bag out of it, and left. They were reading about how Zuker had been found dead in his mansion from his heart failing while eating breakfast...at the airport (I think is where they were), Boone and Shannon were fighting over Boone not getting them in first class and not having any chairs to sit at for breakfast, Boone and Shannon walked up to Paulo and Niki and Boone asked Paulo if he could have the extra chair that was at their table, Paulo said yes, Shannon continued to yell at Boone and Boone gave up on the chair and they walked off. Niki asked Paulo to promise her that they would enver end up like that, and he did. When they crashed on the island they had lost the little black bag, Niki went and asked Atrz (Leslie) pretty much if he would draw her a map of the jungle like so that she could search for her missing lugage, Artz said yes and flirted with her and told her about his spiders that he had in his tent (as sort of a collection), once she had the map she went over to where Paulo was and they went into the jungle. Niki and Paulo found a waterfall, Niki told him to go and look for the case that held the little black bag, he asked why he should have to be the one to do it, Niki said because she had been Zuker's girlfrined for him (Paulo) as he kept reminding her so he could do this for her, Paulo went into the water came back up, Niki asked him if he found it, he told her no, he had it in his hand under the water though, Niki got upset and stormed off. Latter they found a plane stuck in a tree in the jungle, Paulo wouldn't climb up it, they then found a little trap door on the jungle floor with a ladder going down it, Paulo wanted to check it out, Niki didn't want to got mad at Paulo for not wanting to climb up into the tree where the plane which have had a radio or such in it but wanting to go down a creepy ladder instead and so she stormed away, Paulo went down into it and it was like the odd room that had all of the moniters in it, he found a walkie talkie and stuck it in his pocket, he heard somebody coming and ducked into the bathroom, it was Juliet and Ben they were watching Jack on the moniter, Juliet said that he (Jack) was cute, they discussed how they would get Jack to do the surgry, Ben said that he would find out what he was attached to emotionaly and that he would explot it, Juliet asked if they were done in there that they room gave her the creeps, and Ben turned the moniter and the lights off and left, Paulo hid the little black bag in the bathroom and left. When they went and looked at the moniters again (with Locke and Kate and when they saw Patch), Paulo went into the bathroom and retrived the the little black bag. Latter he was digging a hole on the beach to hide them, Locke said that he could have his secrets but to burry them somewhere where they wouldn't be washed away by the beach erroding and that there really was no point in burring stuff on the island because "nothing on this isalnd remains burried". So Paulo...several days latter Niki and Paulo were on the beach talking, Paulo said that they would be rescued, Niki asked why the sudden opptimism, they talked and he said that things were allright pretty much and that it was okay that they hadn't found the diamonds...the little black bag held diamonds...because it hadn't torn them apart. Niki smiled, they kissed, Paulo walked off, she found some of his gum (to quite his smoking habbits) and it had something in it or something (I didn't get that part sorry), she figured out that Paulo had found the diamonds and lied to her about it, she went and asked Sawyer for a gun, Sawyer told her no and said that she needed to cool off, Niki said thanks for nothing and stormed off. The day (I presume) Niki confronted Paulo in the jungle about him having the diamonds, she found them on him after searching him over for them, they fought, Niki threw some of the spiders that Artz had had, they bit him twice, she said that the spiders were called Madussa spiders and she asked him if he knew why she went on to say that they would paralize a person not kill him but make his heartbeat so weak that a doctor would have trouble hearing it, Paulo told Niki that he kept the diamonds a secret because he thought that once Niki had the diamonds that she wouldn't need him any more... he said that he was afraid of losing her, spiders came out of nowwhere and one bit Niki, she freaked out ran just a little ways, burried the diamonds and ran back to camp...
Now here is where we get into the present...Sawyer and Hurly are playing ping pong and Hurly is kicking Sawyer's can again (best out of 5 thus far Hurly says and Sawyer wants to go for best out of 7), they see Niki and try to help her (get her water and such), she said something that they can't quite catch (turns out latter that it was paralized), she passed out, Sawyer told Hurly to hurry up, and Hurly checked her pulse and said that she was dead. So several of the group members ended up on the beach and asking questions about Niki, Hurly and Sawyer debate over what it was that Niki said, they decide that she said that "Paulo lies", Sawyer Hurly and Jin went to find Paulo, they searched his tent and Sawyer found the walkie talkie and he implied that he thought that they could have been and probabley were working with the Others, they talked about it for around a minute, then they continued their search for Paulo, they found him in the jungle seemingly dead, they looked around, they brought Paulo back to the beach, and they began to talk again about how they died. Charlie kept saying it was the monster, some of the others said that it was the Others, Sawyer took out a gun and said that he was going to do a perimeter sweep, Hurly asked him where he got the gun, Sawyer said off of them (referring to Paulo?), Hurly asked when he was going to tell them, Sawyer said right now I guess and stormed off. Hurly asked Paulo if he knew what had happened to Niki and Paulo, Desmond gave him an odd look and said no, Hurly said that he thought that he might know what happened to them because he was a psysic, Desmond told him that it didn't work that way, Hurly told him that he meant no offence but that his super power sucked, Desmond mentioned that Sawyer and Niki had fought earlier that day and seemed to imply very hard that Sawyer may have had something to do with it, Hurly and Desmond talked about it for a few minutes and then Hurly left. Meanwhile Sun and Charlie were talking about what they thought had hapened to Paulo and Niki, Chalire kept saying it was the monster, Sun said that it was the Others and went on about how they had kidnapped her, Chalire confessed that it was him that kidnapped her and that it had been Sawyer's idea and said that he was sorry to Sun, Sun got mad and stormed off. When Sawyer got back to the beach the group was pretty much saying that he killed Niki and Paulo, Sawyer said that he didn't kill, Hurly asked him why then was he so gun ho to be the one to investagate it when their was nothing in it for him, Sawyer then showed them that his gun didn't even have bullets, Hurly asked how he could be doing a sweep of the island without bullets, Sawyer explained how Niki had had dirt under her finger nails, showed them the diamonds that he had found that Niki had burried gave them to Sun said that he was no murderer, and he stormed off. Sun later came up to Sawyer while was digging a grave, she tossed him the diamonds, Sawyer looked up at her, Sun told him that she knew that he had helped in her kidnapping, Sawyer asked if she was going to tell Jin, she said no that they would have to dig another grave if she told him, Sawyer gave a pitiful look and sounded like he was going to try to explain things to Sun, Sun slapped him and walked off . Later the had a funeral like for Niki and Paulo, Sawyer put the diamonds in with them, they burried them, Niki opened her eyes, and it went off.

Oh, no! We're going to lose two more people, JF? (cries) I don't want to lose Losties...well I don't want to lose most of the Losties. (pouts) Thank you for the information though.

Okay now does anyone else think that we haven't seen the last of Paulo and Niki?

WOW! This episode was confusing!! I really need to watch season 1 ASAP!

But I think I figured most of it out by the end...

I can't belive Paulo and Nikki were buried alive though! My mom and I were like "ewwwwwwww!" because Nikki's eyes opened up as Sawyer was putting the dirt on.

VERY creepy if you ask me!

And of course next week will be focusing on Kate/Juliet, so I doubt we'll find out what will happen with the buried alive situation for a couple weeks!

Best part of the episdoe: Sawyer shirtless.

The plane was still in the tree when they saw it. Nikki didn't want to go in so they left. Paulo came back later and hid the diamonds in the toilet. I believe Paulo was putting the diamonds in the toilet just before Ben was leaving to get "caught."

I was surprised to see Ben too, but not for the same reason Now that we've cleared up when things were happening, I'm not as confused. I was thinking that Ben and Juliet were spying on Jack before they even opened the other hatch up, so I thought maybe there were cameras or something on the beach

Yes, I was quite confused

Next week looks good though Juliet + Kate = catfight! LOL! (sorry, that was the first thing I thought of! xD)

JF, You are most certainly welcome. I think that Banana Republic pretty well answered your questions though. See there was a time line going back before they got on the flight up to present. Everything in the timeline seemed to fit correctly as far as I could tell.

Gilraen Ringeril, Oh, I so agree about the best part of the episode being Sawyer shirtless. Needless to say that I am very glad that I have that scene on my dvr thing right now. Ah the wonderfulness of the pause button. lol
I jumped up out of my chair yelling "Yes!", when Juliet made her little comment to Kate about her breaking Jack's heart. It's about time that somebody called her out on it...I was kind of hoping that the caller would be Jack (and eventualy followed by Sawyer calling her on other things she has done of late)...but I'll settle for it being Juliet. Yet another reason I like Juliet. (holds up a way to go Juliet sign...laughs...sorry I couldn't resist) Then Kate punching her... that's Kate. Ah well they probabley won't actualy kill each other, Jack (in my opinion) is worth fighting for, somebody needs to avenge poor Sawyer and Jack (since they don't seem to be willing to themselves), and Juliet as far is we know isn't a "good girl", so I guess that they can knock some sense into each other. Okay...I have officily gone bloody insane! On a different note, I want to know why they are out in the middle of the jungle, at night, in the rain...? On a much more serious note...does anyone know who this episode is suposed to be about for sure yet?

I'm actually happy, because although Kate has her man issues, I still love her In fact, I'm doing a speech on Evangeline Lilly for class.... Anyway...

Yes, it would have been nice if Jack were the one to call Kate out on her heart-breaking, but I guess Juliet will do. I think that it will be fun seeing those 2 fight. LOL. I'm so bad

Okay I agree. This episode was weird. Me no likey this episode much. I mean, other than the brief Benry scene- and the fact that I find Paulo’s accent cute- and we actually got to see Charlie! - there wasn’t much going for it. I mean, the flashbacks were cool...but confusing.

And why the heck did everyone blame Sawyer? It was like the early days of the island again... and everyone was looking suspiciously at him, Lord of the Flies thing goin and all. So wrong. *shakes head*

At least Charlie got things cleared up with Sun. That was so brave and awesome of him.

That is cool. What kind of report is it? (if you don't mind my asking that is) Is it like a my hero, or my role model, or perhaps a report on great women of telvision or something totaly different else?
(nods) Well, I think that it will be funny to watch. I think that Kate may find though that Juliet is more of a fighter than she had expecting, since she is being portrayed right now as this strong don't let people get in my way again type of woman. I admit that I am hoping that Juliet gets a swing in at Kate but Juliet might deserve one too...for the revenge of Ben for JF's sake. lol So I'm looking forward to it.

I want Juliet to win too! Juliet is my favorite female character thus far. However if she were to hurt Kate...then Sawyer would be upset...I don't want Sawyer to be upset... Okay I am a little jealous of Kate having Sawyer (even though I'm a Skate fan, I can't help it) so maybe that is part of the reason that I want her to get a little greif. lol Nah, it's that she keeps breaking Jack and Sawyer's hearts. lol Ah they probabley won't actualy kill each other anyway, so it won't matter. lol

Fencing Maiden, (joins Fencing Maiden in bouncing off of the wall) Sayid lives! Yay! (huggles Sayid) Well, we have at least one more week (maybe +) with him...so...yay! (happy dances)
I know what nerve they have blaming poor Sawyer... . Sawyer didn't do anything... this time! They are so mean to him sometimes. ( gives Sawyer a huge hug)

lotrfreak13, I think that Juliet was talking about how Jack had had feelings for Kate, she kind of lead him on, and then next thing we knew it Kate was with Sawyer. So I think that that was how Kate broke Jack's heart. However I could be wrong.
