Well, since we are all LotR fanatics here (I presume

) I will post an attempt of continuation:
The Fall of Gil-Galad
Gil-galad was an Elven king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing.
The last whose realm was fair and free
Between the mountains and the sea.
His sword was long, his lance was keen
His shining healm afar was seen.
The countless stars of heaven’s fiels
Were mirrored in his silver shield.
But long ago he rode away
And where he dwelleth none can say,
For into darkness fell his star,
In Mordor where the shadows are.
He had Elendil at his side
And into battle they did ride
To slay the Dark Lord Annatar,
Who ruled the darkness from afar.
So with their mighty force they marched,
Their stomachs bare, their mouths were parched,
For dust the Plain of Dagorlad
Did cover armies good and bad.
For seven years they fought as one.
No victory was ever won.
They suffered strongly, but prevailed,
Gil-Galad as a hero hailed.
For many battles did he fight,
But Sauron is his power and might
Could not be conquered with the ring
Not even by this mighty king.
But, though the Dark Lord did not die,
His fabled armies did not fly.
Many fights, though small they be,
Brought to Gil-Galad victory.
But then the Dark Lord came to say
That he would win this battle day.
Against his force Gil-Galad fell
And with him Elendil as well.
But Gil-Galad was not alone!
His armies moved against the stone
Of Sauron, and Isildur’s hand
Cut off the ring and saved the land.
Gil-Galad was an Elven king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing.
But he freed us from Sauron’s wrath
And took upon him death’s clear path.
I hope you realise that the first 3 verses are Tolkien's

Tell me what you think?!?!
