I agree completely with you two.. I wasn't really liking that scene at all. I concerned skipping it the last time.

Honestly, how can you have a problem with voodoo? The bloody thing doesn't even exist. Well some people believe it exist and whether or not you think it's good and evil depends you, but in all honesty, there hasn't been anything that proves voodoo actually does...what people say it does. It's odd that you mention Eragon. Angela can be considered as a witch-doctor or a voodoo priestess. I don't see anyone bashing her.

There are hints of voodoo in DMC (which is very real, but we won't go into that), but that isn't really where her power comes from. As Frosty said, if you can read the Iliad or the Odyssey without getting terribly offended, then you should be fine with Tia in AWE. (And that's as much info as you get in this thread, as anything else would definitely be a spoiler ) Yeah honestly though I know nothing about The Iliad and Odyessy. I don't mean to be "bashing" anyone as you call it.
I know lots of people have no problem witht he magic etc.. And there are lots of movies with it (even LOTR) But I am very carefull personaly about that stuff and what I watch and I am just saying I personaly did not like the magic in it. And I am not going to watch Eregon for the same reason.
But one thing I will say.. Voodoo, black magic, witchcraft, whatever youwant to call it.. it is real. I wont debate the power of the devil and what he can give to eople but my personal beliefe. There is not doupt that he does give people powers.

Well, we're on thin ice. To where this is going. If you're interested in a debate, Jax, about the existence of God, feel free to PM me. But for the POTC fans' sakes, let's not discuss it here. I, for one, do not relish the idea of having a mod close this because of this.

Eh...closest I've come to that would be when I dress up as a pirate for different events like RenFest or a costume party or something. Or when I'm acting out a random scene all by me onesies (which happens rather frequently), but roleplaying generally involves more than one person, so that's more just me being insane. Again.

Ha! *tries not to laugh* You are not insane!
Just wondered actually 'cause my two best friends and I have rped it since pirates 1 came out. We make up our own adventures, and have a blast playing them. I'm Elizabeth, Miriam is Jack/Will, and Leah is a made up caracter we call Red Patch, Barbossa, Norrington, Govoner Swann, Lord Beckett, and anyone else we need her to be! We don't play Davey Jones or Tia for the simple reason that we all don't care for either of the characters...
Just wondered if anyone else did that or if we were the only ones....
I love the Ren Fest! We go every year, and each year I try to add something more to my costume, though most of the time it's really small, and yes I know I'm rambling, and my only excuse is that I'm really tired.
