(Oh ok.. that's cool. I think I will start in the Shire though. However, it is good to know where everyone is.)

Ruth Ann had only a half an hour left before the mean, or evil (to her), stepparents were going to return. After her mom died, her dad never decided to remarry. Then, once her dad passed away, she was stuck with "them".

"Bilbo was right to run away," she thought as another item flew into her bag, "these people are just horrible." Over the next few minutes, she managed to finish packing her things, toss the bag on, and make a last-minute "snack".

There is goes, the knock at the door, just as planned. Ruth franctically grabbed her bag, sword, and other sharp, weapon-like accessorites and traveled to the door. "Hey Pip," she said once the door was open and she managed to catch eye contact, "Thanks.."

"No problem," Pippin said smirking, "They are about five or so minutes down the road that way." Pippin pointed over down the right side of the road for a second, or two, and then lowered his arm and looked back at Ruth.

Sighing, Ruth Ann said, "Then, I best be heading that way. You can follow, if you want, I can tell you are curious, as usual."

"I resent that." Pippin said, following Ruth Ann and interpreting Ruth Ann's slight smirk and knod of her head. A few moments passed by, and Pippin then decided to just ask, "Ok.. where are you going?"

Árey had rode Velken hard for the last few days, happy to be away from home, and wanting to get farther. She was in the land call The Shire, about 4 miles from Weather Top.

"I am not exactly sure, Pip," Ruth Ann smilied, "I'll head up to Rivendell, and then figure the way out from there."

Ruth look back at Pippin, who just looked like he had heard this all for the first time, again. Laughing, Ruth told Pippin, "I'll be fine, you know I will. Can you go and say hi to the others for me?"

"Won't have to!" came a voice from behind a bush at which Ruth Ann jumped inside feeling that her planning had just been terminated. "You can tell me personally," Merry said as he emerged from the bush, "I knew you were going, but you weren't gonig to leave without saying bye to me?"

Ruth Ann laughed, "Of course not Merry."

"And Pip," Merry laughed, "You should have seen your face! It looked like you were being attacked by an orc or something."

Ruth Ann casually shook her head and giggled. Merry and Pippin were at it again. Line after line after line, conversation after conversation. There never seemed to be an end. "Guys," Ruth implemented, "I really need to head off."

"Ok, we'll go with you," Merry said, to wihich Ruth Ann gave one of her looks, knowing that they didn't really want to leave the Shire. "At least to the end of the Shire, that fine?"

Ruth Ann smilied, "That would be nice. Let's go."

Lughir rode upon his black mare, only at a trot, his hood covering his face and only showing his gleaming grey eyes. He stopped at the crest of a hill, and looked upon the Watch Tower of Amon Sûl. But quickly he shook his head. That was it's old name. Her heard hooves behind him, and looked to the distance to see someone riding a horse hard, and wearing Rohan clothing...

Merry and Pippin had talked the whole time, and Ruth Ann listened to Merry and Pippin, occasionally giggling at the fact that they would use "foriegn" lingo in order to try and make themselves sound tougher and more adventurous.


"Alright," Ruth Ann said, "Here we are."

"Where?" Questioned Pippin, of course.

"At the edge of the Shire," Ruth Ann added not to in favor of Pippin's sudden loss of knowledge.

"Oh!" Merry exclaimed with a bright smile, "We're coming with you!"

"What?" Ruth Ann's mouth practically dropped to the floor.

"We said so about an hour ago," Merry said looking at Pippin to see him give a knod of agreement.

Ruth Ann Underhill thought back through the conversation and, even though she didn't want to, remembered a point in time when Merry and Pippin thought it would be a cool idea to come along. Ruth didn't think much of it then, but, now, it seems that was all that mattered in the conversation.

"Yes?" Merry hinted as Ruth Ann looked over at both of them to see them smirking at her.

Sighing, Ruth Ann gave in, "Alright, by why didn't you tell me this back near our houses?"

Pippin then injected, "Your step-parents were coming."
