Witghout warning, Cam-ria decided to bolt. Morwen let out a quick, loud "Ahh!" and clung to his neck, the ferns wipping past her legs. She tried to rein him to a stop, but he ignored her as if her were following some stronger instruction. "Cam-ria, ætstandan! Aetstandan!" she hissed urgently. The sudden change from silence and stillness to crashing noisily through the leafy undergrowth felt like breaking the silence at a holy shrine. They came to a small clearing and he stopped abruptly, throwing Morwen, who was already just hanging on, from her seat.

She landed on her back, the breath knocked from her. For a moment, all she could see was blackness. A strong, calm voice in her head commanded her to see, and blue sky and green leaves appeared, along with the bright, slender face of an elf. In his smooth voice, he greeted her, "Welcome to Lothlorien, Morwen of the Westfold. We've been long expecting you. Please, come with me." He began to walk gracefully away as Morwen scrambled to her feet and led Cam-ria after her.

Deawen Held Bredol Back he fought and turned in circles Deawen sat in her seat waiting it out. Deawen finaly stopped Bredol and dismounted. her foot landed softly only an elf could hear the sound but to her it was like stepping on hallow ground it was like a shockwave alerting the Elves of Deawen's presence. Presntly Deawen saw Morwen ahead moving towards them was a small elven unit they moved silently almost floating like. soon they were only feet away both parties stopped and faced each other.

*Sen followed his mind through the forest, stopping only when he sensed someone near. He could feel how ancient the forest was; it nearly whispered to him of times long past. Yet he pushed the whispers away, as he heard Morwen crashing through the underbrush behind him. He jumped out of her way, and immediately held out the dull side of his sword in front of him, barely touching an elf's throat. The elf laughed musically, and pushed it away with a fingertip. Sen laughed too, and sheathed his sword.*
Attentive as ever, son of Lucia. It has been long since last we met.
*Sen nodded, still smiling.*
Indeed, cousin. It has been too long since I have been welcomed by this forest. Too many days of blood. I regret that is what I have come here for, this day; Gandalf has summoned us here, these two and I, for a council concerning the future.
*The elf nodded, and bade Sen walk with him. As they reached the clearing where the others had gathered, the elf spoke, jaw muscles flexing slightly as he saw the other two.*
On behalf of Gandalf and our lady Galadriel, I bid you welcome to Lothlorien. Though these are dark times in which we meet, and some meetings are not on the... friendliest of terms. For this, Deawen and Morwen must be blindfolded through the secret paths to our city.

(Um, guys, I meant that I galloped completely away, out of sight, gone in a completely different direction. Perhaps these could be a different welcoming party?)

(sure iam sure we can modify it Morwen mellon nin)
Deawen Bristled and didnt' try to hide it. Her hair flared a brillaint copper and her eyes a deep blue as fire formed in her hand. " Touch me and I'll burn you to a crisp..." Deawen warned Bredol pinned his ears back and Aernel's hackles stood on end. The Elf stiffened at Deawen's remark but stayed calm.

(God dang it, I've hit the wrong button twice now while trying to write this post!)

"You must be hungry," said the elf without turning around. He waited for no answer as he strode towards a graceful spiral staircase wrapping around a nearby tree. Morwen groaned when she saw that the staircase rose at least 125 feet. When they reached the top, she was completely out of breath. The elf's face showed no disdain as he examined her red face, but his eyes laughed at her. "Here," he said, "is your spread." With no other formalities, he left her and ascended a second staircase that went into the upper branches. Morwen observed the food layed out on the table: some very attractive fruits, some kind of pastry with nuts, and a clear, opalescent liquid in a silver cup. "No meat," she muttered. She sat on the cusioned chair (a luxury she had missed over the past few months) and tucked in.

Deawen stood firm on her position a silent battle of wits was taking place between her and the Elf. Neither one wanted to seem weaker than the other. Finaly Deawen broke eye contact not because she wanted but because other elves appeared next to her and want to to take no chances of being caught from behind she stood firm under her War horses' neck. The Elf seemed stressed now seeing that Deawen had no intention of being blindfolded " No harm will come to You, I promise" He pleaded But it was in vain " Last time i heard that statement i was shot in the leg with a poison dart and sold to easterlings, I won't take that chance again..." Deawen retorted. The elf stiffened again now getting frustrated with Deawen's stubborness. The Elf glanced at Sen hopeing he could convince Her to her senses.

(Sorry Morwen; I misread Deawen's post. I thought both the elves with you and those with Deawen met up.)
*Sen quietly waved the elf down, and quickly formulating a compromise, he told it to the elf.*
Then we shall all go blindfolded, or not at all.
*The elf sighed in consternation, and replied.*
So be it. I must blindfold you as well then, Sen; for I cannot let her see the way through our hidden paths.
*Sen nodded, and to silence any arguement from Deawen, he spoke to her quietly.*
Take my hand, Deawen, and do not let it go until you can see again. I assure you, no harm will come to you, my lady. Will you trust me in this? I have not led you astray thus far.

Deawen made to protest but Sen had already Silenced her opposition. "Promise? " Deawen asked trying to reassure her fears Deawen grabbed ahold of his hand her grip was firm and unwavering a small part of her gift flowed through him sending the message she was scared. with her other hand she grabbed ahold of bredol's reins and tied them to her belt to lead him by. when the elves came to bind her eyes Dewawen Grip increased not in fear but anger and was told as such by her gift as it flared but was controled. Bredol Nickered in reassurance But Deawen was not comforted, she could tell the elves did not like the fact Sen protected Deawen. "don't let go' Deawen said her voice was soft as the the grey soft cloth went over her eyes she clamped her eyes shut. she took a deep breath to calm her nerves, her natural fear was of the unknown for that is all what fear is not knowing the outcome of things.

After she had finished eating, an elf woman appeared. "Good evening," she said hypnotically. "I am Neuriel. I'm here to take you to your room." She motioned for Morwen to follow. She was surprised when Morwen spoke, "First, I wish to know what has happened to my companions." There was an awkward silence as Morwen waited for an answer. She rambled on, "Not to be beligerent, of course. It just wasn't my intention to to go crashing into the forest at the mercy of a panicked horse. At this, Neuriel smiled and gave a tinkling laugh. "You really think that it was the notion of your mount to run?" She saw Morwen's confused face and clarified, at the same time being mysterious, "It shall be revealed to you soon." Morwen siged in resignation and followed the elf up yet another flight of stairs to a platform filled with cushions and billowy curtains. "Here are your quarters. There is a staircase that goes directly to the ground if you wish to further explore. There is also a basin for watching. If that is all, I will leave you to your rest." Neuriel exited gracefully. Morwen went to the railing of her 'quaters' and looked to the ground. A falling leaf spiralled down for 200 feet. She shuddered then sat at the very center of the floor to regain her sense of balance.

(I think that now would be a good time for us to re-unite and go meet the lady of the wood. If no one has any objections, I will go to some sort of 'clearing', and perhaps act as a catalyst for a nice bit of plot advancement.)

Morwen woke up before dawn, but only just. She had dragged some pillows to the center of the platform so she could have some semblance of comfort. She changed into some fresh clothes that had been laid out (somehow, they were Rohirric and the right size), and descended the staircase directly to the ground. On the forest floor, paths zig-zagged across the hillocks and gigantic roots of the malorn trees. She found a bench in one of the larger clearings and sat, listening to the faint singing and the occasional bird song.

( I suppose so it means Sen and I will have to jump ahead a tad bit.)
the Elves, Sen and Deawen Reached the clearing just before sunup. Bredol was led By an elf that seem to study Bredol's Foot patterns Bredol was led away to be stabled. Once the Blind fold was removed Deawen let go of Sen's hand and turned around to study her surroundings. The great trees and the closness made her feel trapped she sighed and closed her eyes once again to calm her nerves. The entire way she had be tense and her gift kept flaring. Deawen was tired but too tense to feel it.
Deawen spotted Morwen sitting on a bench neaby Deawen dashed over to her " Argh I fimilar Face!" Deawen cried giving morwen a hug it was brief but strong. " when did you get here?" Deawen asked wanting to know all details.

(Sorry; I haven't been around the internet for a while.)
*Sen removed his blindfold; he had not needed his eyes to see that they had arrived. He could feel it in the earth, a vibration that was almost like elven songs tingled through his body. He saw that Morwen had arrived, and was glad that they were all together, as the elf that had led them there spoke again.*
Forgive me for not allowing you to get settled, but the Lady Galadriel and the wizard Gandalf told me to take you to them as soon as you arrived. If you would follow me, I will take you to where you are to meet.
*It was true that even Sen felt some reluctance to meet with Galadriel; he had not done so before, even though he had been several times to Lothlorien. He had heard that she knows the truth about many things, and there were some things that he would rather stay hidden. Nevertheless, he followed the elf as he led the way through the city.*

"I got here last night. I swear, Deawen, they put me on a platform at the top of the bleeding tree! And, worse than that, they don't eat meat. (OOC: You don't EAT no MEAT?!) It doesn't sit well with my stomach..." She rambled on for a while. Elves were not know for their lively conversation.

( errm Morwen I think you are confusing Eragon elves with LOTR Elves Cuz LOTR Elves eat meat...) Deawen snorted in distaste to the elves Following Sen " I can sleep in a tree close to the ground but not that tall" Deawen commented. " have they been treating you decently?" Deawen asked concerned " far from home and beyond " Deawen sighed looking at the trees Aernel Followed them silently wagging her tail.
