Everyone says it is easy to remove it, but who knows how much a vet will charge for it.

I did some reasearch on melonama and it's common on grey horses and if their 14 or older. They can be easily treated , but sometimes they can be cancerous by invading other tissue cells and causing death. I got this from one of my 4-H books. Hope it helps!

Hey guys... I thought I joined before but maybe not... >_> Anyhow add me to the club!

M friend has a gray horse with melanomas... she's 21 (the horse that is) and I think she gets some drugs or somethiing when something flares up but for the most part she is usually fine. That horse seems like she's always lame but that doesn't have anything to do with the melanomas. lol

I love that roan, I learned to english ride on him (so did just about everone I know). His name is Huck, he is 29, and my riding trainer owns him, that is her grand daughter on him.

He is pretty. I thought Dancer was not interested in her grain today when dad & I went over to ride her, but she was her usual ornery self when I was grooming her, I didn't want to ride her as a precaution, so I just walked her. She's ok now. My riding instructer called and told me that he was feeding her a mineral with her grain and apparently she didn't like it.

Everything is ok now. Did you know you can use mouth wash to battle fungus? I'm using it and it's been working pretty well.
