Poor Will Turner did not know how to man a ship well. Feeling like a complete fool, Will listened to the instructions from Pintel with a puzzled face.

Ragetti popped his head out from the captian's quarters and said, "Eh? What ye need?"
Looking at Pintel, he pointed with his index finger to the upper deck, "Are they gone?"

Elizabeth blinked slowly and pulled a cocky frown, "Jones? Dead? How?............" But then the expression of confusion turned to that of shock, "Oh no! Jack. Jack Sparrow did it didn't he?"
Shaking her head, she knew that the Pearl would now belong to Barbossa and Jack would have to man the Dutchman.

Tia sighed in exasperation and grabbed Jack's arm, turning him to face the Black Pearl. The crewmen still stood there on the deck, clearly at a loss concerning what was to be done.
"Awaitin' your orders, Cap'n," Bootstrap said quietly, coming up beside Jack.

"Doesn' matter!" Pintel replied with a scowl. "Crewmen 'r no, we'll be sinkin' fore we know it if ye don' get yer a.rse down 'ere on th' double!"

Ragetti snapped into gear and dashed toward Pintel, "Aye!"
Rushing toward an empty bucket, he began to fill it up with the water that was below deck and then dashed up to the top deck and dumped it over the ledge....and then ran back down and repeated the same process again......so much for Ragetti's help....

Will eyed Ragetti, but said nothing seeing that he was busy hammering away at the nails and wood to cover up the bloody holes!
More water was creeping it's way in and pretty soon, Will and Pintel were up to their thighs in water.
"Pintel, I don't think this is going to work out! We need more than two men to assist with the Pearl's damages! She's going to sink!" Will said in desperation.

Jack felt his mental vision clear when his heavy-underlined eyes looked upon the Pearl. She had taken a beating. The wood was splintered, broken, torn and shreaded. How did she survive? Well, she was the amazing Pearl, and that was the only reason the young pirate would ever believe.
He waltzed himself to the edge of the Dutchman's railing and gazed over the confused, distraught, mutant crew. "Back to The Dutchman! Movement now ye rats! I want movement!"

The crewmen aboard the Pearl seemed to hesitate for a moment more, then scurried to comply, emerging one by one onto the deck of the Dutchman. Several of the men reeled back in surprise at the sight of Jones' lifeless body still lying on the deck. It was one thing to sense the death of one's captain; it was another thing altogether to actually see him lying dead before you. A thick, pensive silence filled the air as the crewmen looked around at each other, trying to comprehend what had just transpired.
"Cap'n's dead!" Clanker suddenly cried out, abruptly shattering the silence. "Cap'n's dead!"

"You're an idiot..." Pintel growled, shaking his head and giving up on getting any assistance from Ragetti. Glaring over at Turner, he simply picked up a plank and started nailing it over another one of the wholes. "'Less ye've got any better ideas, shut it. Th' Pearl's more'n she seems, sometimes, an' we've no better option."

Will's eyes burned through Pintel. His jaw tensed and his fist clenched. "Well, excuse me! I will be sure to inform you when an idea pops into my head!" Will said in a sarcastic tone.
Now hammering angrily, Will began to stop some of the leakage from most of the large holes.

Ragetti in the meanwhile, was dumping some water over the ledge of the ship when he say Jack Sparrow standing on the Dutchman shouting orders. "What is he doin'?" he muttered to himself while squinting with one eye to see better.
(Sorry that I haven't posted for Elizabeth. I'm just waiting for FM to return.)

Joshamee Gibbs had appeared behind Ragetti with two worried eyebrows, a distraut face and squinted eyes to look into the distance. Was the man seeing right? Jack giving orders to The Dutchman's crew? And that would mean only one thing.
"Mary, Joseph and god...Jack ya could'nt 'ave..."

"No! I'm not dead!" said Jack Sparrow, correcting the crewmembers, "I'm much alive thank ye very much, and I propose to stay that way..." He gave a nod towards Bill and Tia Dalma.

((Actually, I think we've more or less got it worked out. But if you'd like to take Pintel for me (so I don't have a ridiculous amount of characters), that would be lovely. 
And just a note...I'm gonna drag us ahead ever so slightly just so we can get to the good stuff. Hope that's okay.))
Fortunately, Pintel did actually know what he was talking about for once, and it was only a short time before they finally had all of the major leaks patched up.
With the Pearl no longer in imminent danger of sinking, Barbossa turned his attention back to other matters. Lowering the spyglass, he smirked humorlessly. "Aye, it would seem he could," he said in response to Gibbs' surprised exclamation. Without further delay, he whirled around and began shouting orders to the Pearl's small remaining crew. "Bring us up alongside the Dutchman, then douse canvas an' prepare a boardin' ramp. I've a few words to exchange with her captain."
As the ships were already fairly close together by that time, it didn't take long at all for Barbossa to be standing on the deck of the Dutchman, taking in the scene. Grinning as sincerely as he could manage, he went over and placed a friendly arm around Jack's shoulders. "Jack..." he began casually. "I knew ye'd do it. Always seemed right, aye? Can't think o' a better captain for the Dutchman." He paused slightly, as if considering how best to word this. "O' course...what with you bein' captain o this ship, there be no one left to captain the Pearl...an' I assume you'd want 'er left in only the most capable o' hands, aye?"

(I guess I'll take Pintel, but it'll be tough having to RP him and Ragetti together.  )
Pintel, Ragetti, and William looked like wet rats as they emerged from below deck of the Pearl. All their eyes cast gaze on the Dutchman that was now within a few feet of them.
Ragetti grasped a hold of Pintel in fear and whimpered, "The Dutchman!"
"Stupid idiot!" replied Pintel, "Can't ye see dat Jack is now captain?! We got nuttin' ta worry about!"
Will helped Elizabeth to her feet and held her tightly in his arms, "How is your arm?"
Looking down at the injury, Elizabeth replied, "I'll be fine...."

"Oh,..." Jack said, eyes falling side to side as he thought of what would become of The Pearl and her crew.
"Yer right mate," said the pirate with a short sigh, "I'll give The Pearl to William Turner..."
His neck tweaked upwards towards Barbossa and a satisfied loopy grin settled on his face. "Now, get yer tickly beard off me..."
Jack slapped Barbossa's arm away.
