I know... should adults not know better than that? And it is brilliant writing... how can anyone not feel pain while burning them? It's like torturing your own child... I feel really bad for Joy. If I was in her position, I would probably have a mental breakdown...

:'(

Wow. Well, I never got a chance to say good-bye! Awww...I'm sad now. JF, send her a hug for me...since I don't have her e-mail...at least I don't think I do. :P

One, I was extremely shocked that they gave her such an ultimatum just to give it up. But to hear about book burning.

I nearly burst into tears. I don't care WHAT book it is...you NEVER do that. I honestly would think such religious folk wouldn't make her do that with her Narnia stuff. :P But still. Gah. It's just wrong. My heart actually aches right now. It's just such a horrific act.

I don't know how to respond to that in a reasonable manner. Which is normal, I hope. :P *sigh*

Please, give her my condolences and tell her that I wish her luck and I'm sending good vibes her way. She can make it through this. If she loves LOTR as much as I think she does and if she's as strong as I think she is, nothing her parents say or do will stop that.

Isn't it against the law to forbid your child once he/she turns 18 to do what he/she wants? Regardless whether they're living under their parents' roof or not?! At least it is in Sweden. If she can afford the Narnia movie ticket herself her parents don't have the legal right to stop her from going if she's 18.

I don't think I've ever witnessed such Fascism and Nazism from parents before

You know what, everyone, hard as this is, I don't think complaining about FM's parents is going to bring her back to us. :storm: I believe it'd be safest to leave this thread at farewells.

*nods* You're right Ivy. Besides, I don't think FM would want us to be talking about her parents this way. :(

Yeah, sorry but I thought you would all like to know what was happening. She didn't seem to mind what I said about her parents.

I'll give her all your messages. If anyone wants to know what she says in further convo's, PM me.
