Hmm....I think I'll put up the voting, as Raven doesn't seem to have been around much.
@ Tur - if you still have your story could you post it here please, as you PM'd it to Raven and I need it to continue with the contest.

Prolouge:
The Stone
The Angel looked down at his leader and friend worriedly as her wound seemed never to stop its terrible bleeding. He stared at it as the healer rushed in and her breathes started coming in short, desperate gasps. Her long blond hair was drenched in sweat as she lay on the table. Noises of swords clashing and screams of death and torture came from the battle just outside the hidden Healers Cave. The Queen of all the Angels looked at her most trusted servant and friend, whom sat nervously by her side. “You must take these Angels and get back to the battle, Riska.” “I can’t let you die, Milady!” Riska protested worriedly. But the Queen nearly dismissed him with a small shake of her head. “Our people need a leader or the battle, all we have fought far, will be lost. They are out-numbering us, Riska, and you know it. Go and take everyone here with you. Let me be in peace.” He started to protest again but she glared at him and snarled as the pain became worse, “That’s an order, Riska!” Riska scowled and stood, bowing and telling everyone to go back to there battle stations, even the healers, as the Queen demanded. After everyone was out, Riska turned to the dying Queen and whispered, “Good-bye, Fair Lady.” Then, as he drew his sword from it’s sheath, he left the cave and ran back to the battlefield. The Queen cried out softly in pain as she took out a small piece of parchment with Anglo Saxon lettering scribbled onto it. She looked down at it and whispered the words in the Seish Language. The words read,
“By the blood and soul given to me, As the battle outside surrounds thee, Take thine soul for a win, And bring this battle to its end!”
As she whispered the words in the Seish Language, the sounds outside the echoing cave silenced. Even the very breeze of the howling wind was brought to peace. She dropped the paper onto the ground and felt her body warm up rather quickly and she knew that her life was taken now. She looked into the opening of the cave and saw the light of the sun one last time before he last breath was taken and the Queen of the Angels was no more than a lifeless body buried underground.
The old, wise storyteller silenced his musky voice as his audience of very young boys and girls sat in a circle around him. Each one of their faces filled with wonder and amazement, for most did not know the full meaning of this story, which is true. But one lad, whom was known as Turner, had a very bored expression on his face and snorted. “So some lady choose to die when she could have been saved. She’s stupid, if you ask me.” Turner said aloud for all to hear. Before the teacher could answer, a new voice said, “A noble lady dies for her people and victory of a costly war and her name forever lives in glory and honor, never to be forgotten. She is a hero and you are more of a coward than I’ve ever known, elste!” The voice said. He was tall and beautiful, very handsome, but he also looked scary at times. He had short, shaggy black hair with dark blue gorgeous understanding eyes. He wore a pair of black breeches and a black cloak covering him. He was fair-skinned and tall and he leaned against the door, but his eyes glared at Turner as he cursed him in the Seish Language. The storyteller glared at him as he muttered angrily, “Class dismissed…but you stay, Shade!” Shade, whom was leaning against the door, nodded and moved out of the doorway so the kids could past, glaring at Turner the whole way out. “Little est-“ He said before the old man cried, “Hush, devil! How dare you curse at the boy! And in Seish tongue, no less!” “The boy deserved worse.” Shade muttered, sitting down on a chair and picking up an apple as the old man started picking up his books. He sighed again, but less angrily, asked, “Finished your work with the blacksmith’s that you owe?” Shade glanced up; wondering why did the old man care? “Yes.” “Where have you been sleeping this week?” Again, the same question appeared in Shade’s mind. Even if he knew this man for almost his entire life, he never had trusted the old man. His past was unknown to Shade, everything to his family even to his name. The old storyteller had too many secrets for Shade. But, he had helped Shade in the past, when he was in need, which was more help than most orphan homeless lads. “By your well.” The storyteller raised an eyebrow, glancing at Shade, but continued to put up his books. Then, he said, “You should find yourself some work.” “Why do you care?” “I have known you ever since you came here.” “No, you haven’t. You meet me a year after I came.” Shade then added, “So you meet me and don’t really get to know me, but that makes you my protector?” As the old man finished putting up his books, he sighed and continued, “Why are you here, anyway?” He didn’t turn to look at Shade. Shade sighed heavily as he looked towards the ground. He then said, “I hear rumors of Dwarves being seen coming out of the Red Mountains.” The man, taking a sip of hot tea, spit it out and gasped. Then, he regained his posture and came and sat across Shade and putting his books and tea outside the table. Shade just stared at him and then asked, “What does this mean?” “Why do you ask me?” He asked, not looking up as he wrote with a long, black feathered pen in a very old, rusty book with many scribbles in it. Shade sighed irately yet again and cried, “There are Dwarves in our very countries and they haven’t been seen in over 100 years and you act as if I just killed a fly! Why have they suddenly appeared? And what are they searching for?” The man glanced up from his work and said, “How do you know they are searching for someone? And it’s 3,000 years, not 100, lad.” He said, continuing to write, then added, “I don’t see why you’re so upset.” “And I don’t see why you are so calm!” Shade cried but the man didn’t even stir. He sighed, and fumingly took another bite from his apple. As he persisted to watch the old man, he noticed a gleam in his eyes, even though he was looking down, and also noticed a slight smile on his face. Shade started to think as he continued to eat his apple, which tasted very good. “You know something…” He stated, still watching. “Aye, I might.” The man said. Shade leaned in, putting the apple on the table and said, “Tell me.” The man finally looked up at him, one eyebrow raised. “What do you want to know?” He inquired. “Everything.” Shade insisted. The man folded his arms over his chest and leaned back, saying in a all-know-it-all voice, “It could take a while.” Shade mocked him with his arms folded over his chest and answered, “I’ve got time.” The man stared at him curiously but then sat back up, put the pen on a desk near-by, shut the book, (which caused dust to go flying everywhere in the process), and then said, “Very well.” Shade got comfortable in his chair and without showing the excitement that grew deep inside him; he waited for him to tell his tale. “Well, before many creatures and races that lived here today were formed, only two races existed on this country. They were the Demons, which now live in the Snowy Isles’ of the West, and the Angels, who live in the city of Drilu up north from us. The Demons once though, did not live on the island, but in the city of Istlaw, which as you know from history is now deserted. The Demons were here first, and from they’re nature, claimed the rest of the land and named it ‘Land of Aragón.’” “But that’s what this Country is called today.” Shade protested. “Yes, the name still stands since the Demons where the first here. Now, no more interruptions, please!” He snapped, before going on. “When he Angel’s arrived, and the time between the Demons arriving and the Angels arriving is unknown to me, but back to the matter at hand. As I said, when the Angel’s arrived, they went northwest of the land of the Demons and didn’t really interfere. But the Demons, for they had been governing their own race for many years alone here, they didn’t want other visitors, especially ones that wanted to live here. So, they sent a small army to go and invade the Angel’s territory. That was the beginning of the war of the Queen Milady whom sacrificed her life to save her peoples. Meanwhile, what the Demons didn’t know is about up in the most northern port of the country, there where Elves secretly living there. They had come over-seas from who knows where and they managed to sneak into the land, unnoticed. Now Elves, boy, are very amazing yet very dangerous beings. They are tall and fair-skinned, beautiful and radiant, but also have keen eyes and ears that give them certain advantages. They mainly use bows to fight with, but they also have skill with using two curved blades at once; a very hard skill to master. And they are the ones that invented the Seish Language that you so rudely misused a few moments ago.” “He-” “AH! I said no interruptions!” The man said, pointing his boney finger at Shade in disgust. “You misused the language of the Elves, and I better not hear you do again! Now…” He said, putting his hands down and lowering his voice, “The Elves heard of the war and from creation the Elves hated the Demons and the Angel’s were doing terribly. So, they came up with the spell for the Queen that if sacrificed her life, then her kindred would be saved and their kind would move on. For you see, the Elves are very smart beings, very clever they are, and they knew that if the exposed themselves, that their race as well of the Angels would be endangered. So, as you know, the Queen followed instruction and both races were saved. But Riska, Maladies’ second in command, did not have the heart to kill the demons existence forever, when he had the chance. Instead, he banished them for 3000 years away to the Islands of Snowy Isle.” “So…why are the Dwarves here?” Shade interrupted. The man sighed and pulled out a large red case from under the table. The case was small, about the size of a sword carrying case, and it was decorated with dark red covering with silver and gold designs on the top. The latched lock was on the side and Shade stared in wonder at what type of weapon would such a beautiful case hold. He barely breathed as the man took off a chain that hung around his neck and on the chain was silver key. He slipped off the key and with a soft click; the lock unlocked. He didn’t breathe at all when he slowly lifted the lid off the case and leaned it back against the table. Shade let out a breathe of disgust and disbelief as in the case was only a long, rolled up scroll with tears on the edges and wrinkles all over the paper. “What…is that?” Shade said, his disappointment showing in the tone of his voice. “This…” The man said, “Is your and the entire nation of Aragón’s, future.”
