Galitaia looked back at Kithsytha, "Good ... we will need to move the hurd as soon as he is ... We can't stay here, they will come back, and we won't be able to stand against them the next time." She turned back to what she was cooking at the stove.

Galitaia fixed herself a bowl and knelt down on the chushon by the bed."Well, there aer several clearings in the great woods, but several are aleady in use. However the curnet resedeints are will to help us and have pointed us to a large unused medow several miles up the mountain. We should be safe there... it is said to be under the dragons protection." She smiled and took a bit of the hot ceral in her bowl.

Meriana almost split her food. "dra-dra-dragons!!!! are they safe!!?? they wont harm us will they?!" she said looking petrafied.

Galitaia looked up from her bowl, "Oh no young one. A dragon is sworn to protect those that live in his medow. A dragon would never harm those he has sworn to protect." She finished her breakfast and stood. "I must go check on my father and the other wounded, I shall return later unless you care to come with me?" She asked looking over her shoulder at Meriana as she rinsed out the bowl she had used.

Meriana was releaved about the dragons. she let out a sigh after hearing they wouldnt harm her.
when she heard Galitaia ask if she would like to come with her. Meriana perked up. she smiled and nodded. " oh please, can i go?" she almost jumped up and down with joy. she quickly finished her food and then gave her bowl to galitaia who was washing her bowl as well. Meriana stood there awaiting egarly for her to finish. Meriana's child-like side was coming out.

Galitaia finished with the dishes and headed for the door. She lifted Meriana up so she could ride on her back. "You settled? Good, now we are off." They stopped at many houses along the way to check on the wounded. Some had just a sprain, pulled muscle, or a few scratches, and others would not live to see the sun set that evening. At those houses Galitaia would give her condolences and sadly move on. They finally made it to the medow where her father lay. He was still weak, but he was healing quickly. "Thank the spirits of earth and sky. you are healing faster than the Old one said you were. I have told most of the hurd, we are going to move under the prtection of the dragon as soon as oyu are able." Galitaia said as she smiled down at her father.

Meriana smiled at Galitaia's father. she wasn't sure how he would react to her. she wasn't sure how any man would react to her anymore. becuase her father had always been sorta nice...then BOOM....he was horrible to her and tried to kill her. she wasn't sure of anything anymore..
