Platform Nine and Three Quarters. That misty morning, it was a meeting point for many witches and wizards, as well as many pre-teens and teenagers. The crimson Hogwarts Express lay stopped on the tracks, and while goodbyes were being exchanged and friends were meeting up on the platform itself, a steady stream of Hogwarts students were boarding the train and searching for compartments to occupy. Two such teenagers, a boy with messy dark hair, and a girl with messy red hair and glasses - Aidan and Madison Potter, respectively - managed to break away from the milling throng in the corridor long enough to slip into a free compartment.

"Finally.." Madison muttered, taking the window seat after putting away her luggage in the overhead rack, while depositing a wicker basket and an owl's cage on either side of her feet. "You'd think there wouldn't be such a crowd once on the train, but no.."

Aidan smiled in amusement while putting away his own luggage, then took his seat opposite his twin. "Apparently not."

One teenager was already on the train, in the back of the train, with his luggage to keep him company, for he sat by himself...unless you counted his sister too, whom sat with them.

They where the "Different Weasley's Twins" or the outcast kids. Shade and Layien Wealsey, both having dark black hair instead of red, which cause them grief sometimes, but they got over it.

Layien had long black hair (which was always tied in a braid) with the most beautiful green eyes and she was a tomboy, wearing knee-torn dark blue jeans with a short sleeve dark green Quidditch shirt, with her Gryffindor cloak laying beside her.

While her brother and twin, Shade, had dark black hair that was shaggy and short, which could make him look evil or scary at times when his hair covered his awesome blue eyes. He was tall for his age and had a tan from spending many hours outside. He wore long black pants and a black t-shirt. His friend and pet falcon sat on his shoulder, and Shade stroked his feathered neck softly in rythem as he looked out the window.

Meanwhile, another lad who was also tall but not as much of an outcast, Falcon Krum, was sitting two seats in front of the twins, a big grin on his face as his snake was wrapped around his left forearm and he waited for some friends to show up.

Kat walked down the train's walk way, looking for a place to sit. She saw Layien Wesley sitting in a comparpment with her brother, Shade, who were both in her house and year. "Do you mine if I sit here?" she asked them.

Layien hoped the girl didn't noticed the surprised look on her face as she looked over at the girl. Layien thought she had seen her before...oh, what was her name...Kat, that was it! Layien remembered, and then smiled.

"Sure, I don't mind." She said, scooting over to give Kat some room to sit. Shade didn't even look up.
