^ you're killing me with the billy elliot abuse. it's one of my favourite films ever.
i finally saw 300 last night and it was awesome. gerard butler's inability to hide his scottish growl ws a tad annoying, but it was still fantastic - visually stunning without beautifying war.
i also watched the breakfast club last night. one huge bundle of cliches, but the performances were good.

About Fred Phelps and the Westboro "Baptist" Church. It's just sick. How can someone be so twisted as to PROTEST AT A MURDERED MAN'S FUNERAL!? Why? Because of his sexual orientation. It's just horrifying. I really want to see this one. I saw Fracture last night.
Pathetically predicatable, but Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins...woooooow. Great interaction between the two. Amazing interaction.
And plus...
Ryan Gosling in amazingly gorgeous, and Anthony Hopkins is brilliantly psycho. Great movie.

Watched two Beck films yesterday. No, not the artist Beck is a series of Swedish 'crime investigation' type films. I watched Brandbilen Som Försvann (a Beck film from the early '90s with Gösta Ekman as Beck) and also Pojken i Glaskupan (a Beck film from 2001 with Peter Haber as Beck). There are a total of 31 Beck films. 1 with Carl-Gustaf Lindstedt, 6 with Gösta Ekman and 24 with Peter Haber. They all pwn my soul _________________

Tim, speak carefully about "The Day After Tommorow." I love that movie. Who says that special effects can't a movie make?

^I do. The science is total crap, and it was NOTHING compared to the book. The only redeeming qualities were the effects and the Jake Gyllenhaal deliciousness, which, unfortunately, weren't enough to save it.

I agree with tim. I am a HUGE fan of musicals, especially the old musicals and Singing in the Rain has always been one of my all-time favorites!

"No, no, no!"
I also agree about The Day After Tomorrow. The special effects were superb but there was no real story except for the obvious.. and the cheesy ending made me want to puke! _________________
