I think it's cool, too. She did a good job. Btw, do you want to join the Elijah/Frodo club? (Just wondering, since you posted here. ;) )

I'm glad you like her poems, too, Forever. I read that essay once, i think. It's been a long time tho. I actually encountered her work first on a site called frodoandsam.net, which is apparently (last time i checked), well, not a site anymore. Everytime i've tried to go there, the link doesn't seem to work. At first i was rather sad, but then i realized that thing i really cared about most on that site was this person's work, so i searched on google, and found the site you gave the link to. (As it turns out, my really becoming a part of this site was contributed to by frodoandsam.net closing down. So that's one good thing. ;) ) Btw, I was pretty sure you meant that about the parallels as a compliment, just so you know that i knew what you meant. lol :P *goes off to other club as well*

ACK! So much posting! I'm terribly sorry everyone. I'm just posting this really quick to say sorry for never posting anymore. I'll edit this post later when I've got a bit more time. Hugs and cookies for everyone though if you forgive me for neglecting the clubs so much! :P

Of course we forgive you Star. We all get busy.

Frodo. I loved Oliver Twist! It was so touching. You're right he really is talented. He's able to perform such a variety of characters, it's very impressive.

Aw. Thanks Itarilde. You're sweet. :)

I didn't have time to read the fanfic quite as thoroughly as I would have liked, but I did enjoy what I read of it. She did describe Frodo very well. I loved it. Her writing reminds me a little bit of Eariel's, but only a bit. I think what makes it seem similar is because both are such avid Frodofans and write such wonderfuly descriptions of him. I agree though that the end was disappointing. Our lovely Frodo would never truly die. Forever, I remember you sharing that essay with me awhile ago I think, right after I first joined the clubs [I hope I'm thiniking of the right one]. I loved it. It was beautiful. I wanted to e-mail the author to thank her for writing such a wonderful and inspiring Frodo essay.

I've only seen a part of Oliver Twist with Elijah in it on TV one time. It's another one I'll have to rent next time we're in the store. He was such an adorable little kid.

Speaking of Elijah movies, has anyone here seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I want to see it so badly. I know Elijah plays a semi-bad guy in it, so I'm interested to see how he does with that. Also... there was another one.... somethign having to do with a bumblebee *googles* Ah. It's called The Bumblebee Flies Away. Anyone seen it? I don't know much about it, but it has a good quote in it. It's something like "Aerodynamically, the bumblebee should not be able to fly. But the bumblebee doesn't know this, so it keeps on flying anyway." I think it sounds sweet and interesting.

I'm off to check the Frodo Club now. Gosh. I'd missed you guys.

We're glad to have you back. :) As it happens, I've seen both Oliver Twist and The Bumblebee Flies Anyway. They were both pretty good (well, at least Lij was good in them ;) ). Forever, I liked Oliver Twist as well--for a while, it was my second favorite of his roles. (Guess what my first favorite is?) The Bumblebee was...interesting. (And i don't mean that as necessarily a bad thing, you understand.) It was thought-provoking, but kind of sad... It seems a lot of Lij's movies are that way. (Anyone seen Deep Impact? I recently saw that, and when they say gut-wrenching, they mean gut-wrenching! It's about a comet that's going to crash into the Earth. Suppose it's Earth-wrenching too, lol. Sorry.) I haven't seen Eternal Sunshine, tho. My mom saw it, but she wanted me to wait till i was older to see it. So anyway...bye till next time. ;)

Soo glad you're back TT  (I'll keep on calling you TT, if you don't mind. Starlight is pretty and all, but you'll always stay TT for me. :P)

I haven't seen any of the other movies. In fact, Oliver Twist is the only movie with Lij that I know, apart from LotR apparently. But I loved his character in OT, too. The end was really cute and sad, at the same time. :'(
I really can't imagine him playing a semi-bad character (though you could probably call the Artful Dodger a semi-bad character, too, but I don't think so), so I should indeed watch Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind. Though the bumblebee thing sounded interesting, too.
The problem is that somebody's always quicker than me to get Lij movies from our library (I wonder why they are that popular? lol)

And yes, TT, it was exactly that essay I was speaking of.

Aw. Why thank you Forever. And I don't mind if you call me TT still. :P

Ooh. Now I really want to see The Bumblebee Flies Away. I like sad and thought provoking movies. I'm weird that way. Besides, seeing movies with Lij in them is always good because even if the movie is bad [which not many of them are], you can always have fun staring at the gorgeousness that is Elijah Wood. I'm hoping to see Eternal Sunshine too.
And Eariel... I have no idea what your first favorite Lij role would be. I know it couldn't possibly be Frodo. :P

^Ho ho. ;) lol..
I don't think you're weird for liking sad and thought provoking movies, even if a lot of people don't. For me they're just...harder to deal with than happy, thought-provoking movies, because i've been going through some hard stuff, so perhaps they hit a bit too close to home... I love stories that deal with the deep, mental and emotional issues, tho (Wonder why i'm on a lotr forum? :P ) I wouldn't say Lij's character in Eternal Sunshine is necessarily bad, from what i've heard. Just kind of clueless and maybe sweet in a way, even so. (Specially as far as fangirls are concerned... ;) ) But that's just secondhand observation.
I had a rather bizzarre thought today... You see, i was reading in my chemistry text book about how if a reaction is making more products, that means it's shifted toward the products side of the reaction, or if it's making more reactants (since the products start to react together and start the reaction 'in reverse'), it's shifted toward the reactants side. Or something like that. So later i was thinking about how sometimes we tend to talk more about Frodo in this club, and sometimes we talk more about Elijah, and it kind of drifts back and forth. So then i thought of putting it in terms of chemical equilibrium (lol i'm weird), so that would mean we 'shift' back and forth between the two sides of the 'reaction', so to speak. Then i thought, "hey, there ought to be more than one reactant in the 'reaction.' " So if Frodo were on the 'products' side of the reaction, and Elijah were on the 'reactants' side, what would be the other reactant, i wondered? I decided it could be...LotR, of course! lol :P So this is what happens when a fangirl studies chemistry. Hope that wasn't too bizarre, but i wanted to tell you about that interesting, random thought i had. lol.

^Haha  i love you, Eariel. I know nobody else who has such unique and cute thoughts :P Lol, perhaps I'll like chemistry a bit more from now on...

Lol...thank you. :) I love you, too. I like making connections to help me get the bigger picture, even if said connections are rather bizarre. :P So...we need a new topic, perhaps. Should we shift our conversation to the Elijah side of the 'reaction' or the Frodo side? lol.

That's awesome. And don't worry. I don't think you're weird. My mind does strange things too. I love your equation though. I like how you put it. When fangirls and chemistry collide.
As for the other thing.... I'm feeling in favor of the Elijah side of the reaction. But I'll go along with whatever everyone else wants. I don't exactly hate talking about Frodo either. :P

Lol, i know the feeling... ;) 'When fangirls and chemistry collide..." Yep, some weird things can happen. lol, thanks, and i'm glad you don't think that's too strange. (Altho a little insanity is beneficial, don't you think? lol :P )
What to say... Well, we (two of my sisters and i--in case you're wondering just how many sisters i have, i'll tellyou: four, and no brothers, lol) went to a friend's b-day dinner this evening, and afterwards at one point some of the girls were talking about someone named "Jordan" (I wasn't really listening to that part of the conversation), and at one point someone jokingly mentioned something about "all the Jordans in the world" and i thought, "Does that include those w/ the middle name Jordan?" Because we know of someone who fits that criteria, don't we, girls... ;) Just mentioned that b/c you were in favor of his side of the reaction...
Just because, i'll tell you about something else that happened during the same evening, which was kind of nice from my point of view. ;) My friend who's b-day it was in honour of read a couple of my poems (on my site--we were looking at the computer) aloud to her parents, one of my sisters and me (and maybe one or two other ppl, at various times...?) She's good at reading stuff like that out loud, so it was nice to hear her do that. :) (My problem is i stutter in real life, which is a hindrance since i would probably enjoy reading my own work to people...But i liked hearing my friend do it, too. Man, i feel so pampered--i not only have you guys who like my poems, but people in real life do, as well! )
So, enough about that... *can't think of anything else to say, so does the "I love Frodo" dance, just because i feel like it :P * (Don't ask--i have no idea. ;) )

I love how you're so open to people like us. You think of the cutest and most random things. But random I guess is good in the world we live in today. It's good to be upbeat like that. Well, anyway I guess all I can say is, "Frodo forever!"

Insanity is most certainly beneficial. Especially the good kind. The Frodo-crazy kind. Like we all seem to have.
Four sisters?! Wow.
For a second I forgot you were talkign about Elijah there because I had a crush on a guy named Jordan for almost a year awhile ago. :P But of course I like it much better for Elijah's middle name. His name sounds so good together. Elijah Jordan Wood. EJW. If you rearrange his initials, you can spell J E W. Sorry. It's morning. My thoughts are doing that weird stream of consciousness thing.
I agree that it's nice to have someone who reads your poems out loud particularly well.
*joins in the I love Frodo! dance* Tis fun.
