(Here's my bio. It's brief but better than nothing.
Name: Eris
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Appearance: http://www.metalgoddesses.com/galleries ... her009.jpg )

Eris scowled at nothing in particular as the rain water dripped down on her. She didn't make the effort to move from her spot though. Her clothes were already soaked through, and her hair was already matted down to her face.

She noticed all the others looking for some way to escape and sighed. She had already looked the place over and over, and did anything come of it? No. She had been in prison a time or two in her lifetime, but she had always been able to escape. Not this time.

"Might as well give it up, mates," she said dryly, "There's no getting out of this one."

"There's a smart lass," Phaerin added from beneath his sodden hat, and yawned. "Perhaps you'd consider stopping your fanatic attempts to break out and let a man get some sleep? Always better to hang with a good night's sleep, y'know."

His utter unconcern had the potential to be mildly irritating, and likely was in the gloomy circumstances in which the crew currently languished, but Phaerin could not honestly say that he cared overmuch. This was evidenced by the fact that regardless of whether or not the restless crew would quiet down, he folded his arms and slid down against the wall, determined to have slept at least a little by the time the night was over.

But Phaerin would get no sleep, no matter how hard he wished it. Just then, as the crew was settling down, a large bang came from outside the door and the rattling of keys could be heard outside. Katria raised her head and was anxious at what was coming from the door.

Finally, the door opened. A large, gruff man in the kingdom's colors and the gaurds symbols on his chest looked at the prisoners and chuckled. "The king requests ye's appearances...I am here to escort you to the Throne Room."

Katria looked over at her mates, confused. Why would the kind want to see them? Where they going to the gallows, as the custom treatment was for punishment of piracy crimes? Or where they being freed? That last thought slipped into Katria mind, and she shook it away, knowing it was impossible.

The gaurd unlocked the wood thing that held Katria captive for almost a full month. As she dropped to the floor, Katria moaned slightly as she moved her stiff arms and sighed. Her left shoulder was out of it's socket, as she feared. She would have to break it back in place soon. She stood and the followed the gaurd as he lead them out of the jail cell and into the castle walls.

Charolette was unlocked, and she fell onto the ground to only become soaken wet. "Hey!" she yelled at the guard as she wiped the dirt off of her face. However, Charolette made the motion not to say anything else once the guard grimisced at her. Instead, Charolette picked up her hat and followed everyone towards the king's chambers.

Aaron sighed when the guards came in. After they had unlocked Katria and Charolette, he let go of the beam with his legs. His back his the wall, and his arms felt like they were being pulled by two horses going seprate ways. The wall shuddered for a moment before the guard unlocked the shackles around his scraped wrists.

The young captain was tempted to punch the mind, but decided against it...

"Are you sure you have the right prisoners?" Paloc asked cheerfully as the guards unlocked his hands. "I don't think we're the most popular group with the king right now." He rubbed his aching arms as he joined his fellow pirates.

"Don't complain, lad," advised Phaerin, adjusting his tricorne and slinging a companionable arm about Paloc's shoulders. "It's a principle of mine. When someone's giving you a chance to avoid a hanging" - he gestured expansively - "let them." He winked.

Aaron behind them was looking positively murderous. Hot-tempered, he was. Phaerin surveyed him with a perplexed sort of air momentarily, but seemed to decide a word here was likely not welcome. That was what came of lack of sleep, he decided. Really, a good night's sleep could fix so much. It was a pity, all things considered, that these things always happened after dark.

"Eternal gratitude to ye, mate," he told one of the guards. A sober bunch, these. Needed some ale. "Assistance always appreciated." This earned a prod in the back with the butt of a spear and Phaerin looked mildly affronted.

((^mate, if you do join, could you please be an evil char? we have no demons and I don't want to overcrowd the ship...if you could do that you would be awesome! Also, you look new! Hullo, my name is Tur! :) :bye2:))

Katria looked back at Phaerin and for the first time in weeks, grinned. She hadn't talked to the man much, but he always brought a smile to her face. He was so funny at times! Especially compared to the gruff gaurd who had taken them from their imprisonment and to there new destiney. (sp?)

Paloc nodded to Phaerin. "True." he said. He tried to slap the man companionably on the back, but the motion nearly caused his numb legs to give out on him.

Eris glared at the guard who unlocked her shackles as she rubbed her sore wrists. "'Bout time someone got those bloody things off me!" she mumbled sullenly.

When the guards stated what they were there for, Eris could only look at them skeptically with one raised eyebrow. The king? She didn't know why the king wanted to see them, but she didn't like it. No doubt whatever he said to them would sound wonderful, but she was sure it would be dressed up with pretty lies to hide the real truth. She had no great liking, nor trust for people in high authority.

"Guard yourselves, mates," she advised the other members of the crew, not deigning to acknowledge the glares she was getting from the guards, "You know how these nobles are." She said the word like a curse. "They'll take what they can get from ye and leave ye with nothing."

Finally one of the guards had had enough, and she felt the sharp sting of a slap on her jaw. "That's enough now, you," he said to her gruffly. Luckily the slap wasn't meant to bring blood or knock her down. It was only meant to hush her up.

Katria turned quickly as Eris was slapped by the gaurd and reached down to draw her sword to come to her friends aid but all she got was air. Katria looked down and frowned and then glared at the gleaming gaurd.

"Get moving and be thankful, you sea rats!" He said, pushing them forward until they entered a large throne room.

The throne room had two throne's at the end the room and the middle was a large, clear space. Tapestries hung on all the walls and outside the painted glass windows you could see rain hiting them hard as darkness filled the rain.

The King sat at one of the throne's, his face gruff and unsmiling. He had a red beard and mustache and dark red hair. His crown was shining brightly, though it had not a single jewel in it. He was dressed in a dark blue tunic and brown riding pants and a cape, with a large longsword in it shealth strapped to his side.

The gaurd bowed to the King and said, "Your majesty, here are the prisoners you requested." The king nodded and said, "Thank you, Remus. Please wait outside the door, if you will, and gaurd it." Remus, the gaurd, raised an eyebrow at not getting to listen to the confrasation, but then bowed lower and said humbley, "Of course, sire."

Once the gaurd left, the king rubbed his temples and sighed heavily. "You would not be here if I had any choice, pirates." He said angrily, not looking at them. Then, he finally looked up at the line of filthy, smelly, bloodly, wet, and half-starved pirates. "Do any of you know of the Crystals?" He asked.

Aaron didn't like any of this. He happened to be in the middle of the line of pirates that were in the throne room.

He cocked an eyebrow at the mention of the crystals.
"My pa's first mate tried to steal one... before he was taken by the sea." he said, the first to speak up to the king..

Charolette was slightly unwilling to go into the throne room. She did not know how she got herself into this, but she knew that she didn't want any part of it.

The guards, on the other hand, obviously felt obliged to have Charolette go into the throne room. After a few pushes forward, one of the guards just picked her up like she weighed nothing and placed her right next to Eris.

The room was amazing and dazzling, and the king appeared to be somewhat cruel with his main intention for himself. Charolette was still shaken up from the past few hours to comprehend much more than this. However, she did manage to hear somethign about crystals to which her mind went into disarray from confusion. Turning towards Eris, Charolette whisphered over, "Crystals? What Crystals?"

Katria knew of them. She heard many stories in the first prison she stayed in. "In the first prison I stayed in," She informed the king, to let him know he was dealing with a true pirate, "they talked about the Crystals of Light. Mostly rumors, I fear, but they said they shed light on all of the kingdom that we live in now."
