Yeah Zelda was definately freaky to look at. Especially the way she said "I'm going to twist your back just like mine".

Tar you easily qualified! Looks like you specialize in the "Dark Tower". I recently bought the first book in the series. By the way you will love "Salems Lot".
As far as the ranking system if someone wants to participate in it then I will give them the option to do so.
Tar based on your passed Stephen King experience you have acquired two wood stakes! They are necessary not only to slay a vampire but can be cashed in to attain higher rank. Now you start out at the rank of "Novice". To advance to the next highest rank of "Apprentice" you need to A)Have 3 Wood Stakes and B)Have 200 Experience Points. These are then cashed in to acquire the next rank. I will inform you when it is time for you to advance to the next step in rank.
Erik

How would you earn 200 experience points? Like how much is one point worth? And how much is each wood stake worth?

OK I have a chart that lists all the ways that you can acquire experience points. For earning 1 wood stake you get 5 experience points. By just simply posting to the Forum you get experience points also. To advance to the rank of "Apprentice" you would need 3 wood stakes and 200 experience points. It is actually a simple system. All you have to do is continue to post to the Forum and I will do all the work. If you are interested in rejoining the ranking system just let me know.

Yeah that's cool.
What really got me interested in Stephen King was actually Pet Sematary. Not the book, really, it wasn't big for me, and certainly I do not agree with Stephen, who believes it to be his "scariest novel." However, the movie is amazing, and definitely one of his scariest movies. And I agree with the Zelda being beyond freaky.
And yes, I do specialize in the Dark Tower. I love that series. And really, it is the link between all of Stephen King's stories. A personal favorite of mine is IT, besides the Dark Tower stories, obviously. I'm not quite sure why, actually.
I also really enjoyed Cell, simply because it quenched my gore thirst in the first two chapters. Amazing really.

Tar,
I had the pleasure of reading "Pet Cemetery" before watching the movie, what a treat!! I dont know about it being one of his scariest but it is very good. The movie was excellent! I like how the little evil Gauge was causing all that trouble. King gets you attached to the characters then starts killing them all off! I was like whats up with this?
Havent read "It" yet. Is it that good?
How is "Salems Lot" coming along?

IT is an incredible book. WAY better than the movie and I mean I love the movie! haha
I've wanted to read the Dark Tower series for quite some time now. What kind of Stephen King stories are they - are they more the supernatural/ghost type genre or more the alien type genre? Or neither?

You know Eru I havent read the Dark Tower series yet even though I do have the first book. Tar would be the one to ask seeing that she specializes in that series.
I am currently reading The Two Towers and when I am done I will probably either read a Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft novel.

Hey you are almost done! I am on chapter 5 "The Window on the West". This is the third time I have read the series and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
You ever seen "Freak Show"?

Nope I've never seen "Freak Show". What is it?

Sorry the name of the movie is called "Creepshow" not "Freakshow". "Creepshow" is a collection of 5 short stories of horror.
The stories are "Fathers Day", "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill", "Something to Tide You Over", "The Crate" and "There Creeping Up on You". Stephen King stars in "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill". My favorite is "Something to Tide You Over".
I would highly recommend this movie for any Stephen King fan.

Ahh ok, yeah I've heard of Creepshow but alas haven't seen it yet.
I really want to see the continuation of "Rose Red" in that of "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer". I loved Rose Red from the first moment I saw it and it's truly the best 'haunted mansion' film I've ever seen!

Oh wow, you guys posted quite a bit...
Anyway, to answer the question of IT, I certainly think it's a great novel, and really interesting. I think it had a quicker and more interesting plot line than some of his other books. It also has some raunchy parts, however, just like every Stephen King novel does. Overall though, phenom book.
And the Dark Tower books are the greatest Stephen King novels, in my opinion. The Dark Towern Series really pulls all of his novels together. All the crazy things that happen in his books all connect. For example, I know in IT, for example, in one of the first chapters, Bill thinks to himself "The Turtle can't help him now." That actually makes sense to me now. And, for those of you who have read Salem's Lot, the priest (who's name I can't remember) is a character in one of the books. It's so interesting. Read it, most definitely. I'll tell you more later.
