@ Eru: *starts singing* Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Eru, happy birthday to you! :) I hope you're having a great day!

Well, usually I've got too much to do and not enought time. I try to make schedules sometimes for the very important things, but most of the time it just works out anyways. ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERU!!!!!!!!!!

*throws confetti and runs around being excited*

:bounce:

YAY!
As for papers/time management. Ha. I suck. It must be in my blood to procrastinate. I was given a paper assignment on Friday, and though we didn't finish the movie the paper is on until Monday...haven't even started it. And although it's only 2 pages double spaced...it's supposed to be IN Spanish...and like I can figure out 2 pages worth of an answer to "why is the movie called, fresa y chocolate?" :P Ha ha ha! SUCH a slacker here! XD

Yay!! Happy Birthday Eru :D

I'm someone else who's terrible at time management. I spend more time putting off the essay and worrying that it won't get finished than it would actually take just to do. I also procrastinate by just reading forums like AU but not actually posting on them. Because if I was posting I would prove to my self that I'm not doing the essay I'm doing something else. If I'm reading them then I could be just about to go back to the essay :P

Universities claim that doing a degree teaches students time management. I think all it does is constantly shows them how bad they are at time management :P

Thank you soo much everyone :) I had a great day. The kids gave me headache today though as they wanted to go outside and inside like a yo-yo all day long, mind you it was only 40°F, stormy, rainy and windy so they'd have to get all bundled up every time - and get new clothes each time as they were soaking wet to the bone and muddy as heck. Why can't kids just make up their minds where they want to be?!

Thank you for letting us know, Jax. We will miss your posts nevertheless.

Happy belated birthday Eru!!
I know it's already old news... and I'm sorry I'm late, but I've been away and busy over the lsat couple of days. I hope you recovered from your headache!! :-)

Time management... hmmm... I'm a procrastinator by nature, but I always get the things done before deadline. In fact deadlines are the frames for my life, I hate them and love them, but without them I would never get anythin done... I use a calender/time manager and write everything down out of habit.. that way I free my mind because I don't have to think of the things I need to do. It work out pretty well for me, and I never have stress ;-)

Aww thank you Eä :) You only missed my birthday by one day!

Yeah I'm the same. I need a deadline or things will simply not get done (unless it's something I really want to do that is lol).

You know, I've always been one of those all or nothing, black or white people. Same goes with time management. I'll create the strictest schedules for myself and burn out so much I'll then become the world's greatest procrastinator. :P
So to help myself I've finally bought a Franklin Covey planner. We'll see what this does. :)

Is a Franklin Covey planner particularly good? Never heard of it....

I hope it works out for you. It's such an individual thing how people manage their time. Some of the people I know want to have planned everything 6 months in advance and others never plan a single thing. Both things actually tend to annoy me, as I am in between, I enjoy flexibility within limits :P But as long as it makes them happy and we can work things out... :-)

I've always been one of those carefree "things will always work out in the end" type of people. It always drove my mom nuts (and still does I can imagine haha) as she always had to plan into detail every single thing in advance or she'd go crazy.

How about budget, people? How do you guys manage your income (or lack of)?

i'm kind of like that too - i have moments where i go into stress mode and think i'll never get things done, but generally i'm a "things will always work out in the end" type. thus far, that philosphy hasn't failed me and things always have worked out fine. hopefully things will keep going like that.

i've actually surprised myself with how good i am at managing my budget. i've been living off my rather meagre student loan since september, but i think i've done pretty well. i've always had enough money for essentials like food and laundry, with a little left over for dance lessons, going out, dvds etc.

I'm the same. I go into stress mode sometimes thinking "I'm never going to get this done" but it always does work out and that philosophy hasn't failed me yet either *knocks on wood*

I'm the type of person that could spend 10,000 bucks in 10 minutes, if I had that kind of money to spare. I'm awfully and dangerously addicted to buying CDs, DVDs and books, especially the Special Collector's Edition stuff.

Money and budgeting. Big, huge imporant thing in my life. I'm one of those people who avoids debt, doesn't take loans (though I'll bet I'll take one when I buy a house someday, though I wan't a 15-yr loan), doesn't have a credit card, stuff like that. I try to put away a certain amount of each paycheck in savings (no matter how little), first of course paying bills, and reserving a little "pocket money" each month (including ordering lunch 1x a week at work :P). Since last year I've hardly spent anything, and my wardrobe's suffered, so lately I've acutally gone on a shopping spree, a treat for me! Ivy, pamper thyself! :bounce:
