I went yesturday in a bookshop after school and I saw something very strange...Right infront of me was a book,in wich's resume was written that this is a seqel of the story for the One Ring. :annoyed: I don't remember the name of the autor(he was a woman and definetly wasn't Tolkien's daugther!!!) neither the title of the book.Only that I remember is what was written in the resume:'..but the One Ring wasn't completely destroyed in the the Fires of Mount Doom....(I can only remember this part)...And once more the War of the Ring beggins!'My question is have you seen this book or even red it and you ever read it?
Well,I certenly won't!
:explode: :annoyed2:

Argh, sounds like a horrendously poor money-grabbing rip-off.

I almost definately wont read it.

yeah.. maybe it's some sort of fan fiction that got published. I definitely haven't read this book and I don't think I'll read it.

Say WHAT??? :confused2: :disgust: :explode: :annoyed:

I wish very much that I knew who was trying to commit such a travesty. Believe me, they'd wish they hadn't.

.. I'm sure he'd do everything to prevent this from being published. Why can't people publish some good fan fiction and not such rubbish..

^ Calm down... I know it's got to be annoying to you, but just cuz he's Bulgarian doesn't mean all Bulgarians are like that - you can't judge a country by one person from there...

Jeez! I thought that you had to wait 100 years before a book comes into the public domain... which means that anyone can use the characters, the locations and so on freely...
I don't think this book is very legal... Actually it would deserve some further researches... :disgust:
The only "sequel" that I know is the beginning of a novel that Tolkien didn't want to finish because he didn't like the way this story was taking: "A new shadow" This, I would really love to read! :)

Yeah I've heard of that sequel as well and I'd love to read that.
Elenthari: you shouldn't be angry just because the author is a Bulgarian.. though I can understand, I'd probably be just as angry if the author was a German.

That would be great if somebody like Christopher Tolkien did the same work as it was done for the Silmarilion! But if it was Tolkien's will not to published this story maybe it should be observed... Though it's kinda hard for the fans!
