I've only read it once, but whenever I'm confused about something I forget where to look so I have to read like a whole chapter before I get it.

I think I have read the Appendices a million times... mainly to cross reference when I am reading The Silmarillion...

Well, all in all I've read LotR 11 times... but I'm not counting just reading single books whenever I'm in the mood... : So I've probably read FotR at least 15 times...

Arsarniel that's crazy! I feel ashamed to say I've only read FotR twice plus all my favorite parts that I've read over again.

Methinks now that I've read the Silmarillion, certain things in the LOTR books will be clearer to me...

I read all the books annually....(after hearing Christopher Lee does that....so far..four or five times) and the Sil. twice. I'm just reading that whenever...probably bi-annually...I have the book of Unfinished Tales (got it for my birthday) but I have never made it all the way through because I keep get distracted...

I have read them twice in Dutch and once in English. I must say the English version is a lot better. I plan to read it a lot more times, though. And I've read the Silmarillion once in Dutch, I'm reading it in English at the moment. The Unfinished Tales? Yes, I have read those as well (in Dutch).

I have read all three books only once (in Danish). I plan on reading them again and again, but I don't know when. Right now I have so many books to read. And I am - very sadly - a slow reader.

I'm gonna begin at my 3th time this holiday, in Dutch.
Well, if I got enough time that means... *stupid work*
