Gernhart came back to the group about 30 mins after he had left. he brought some firewood with him. his knuckles still bloody. he set the wood down and started a fire.

Constince glanced back over her soulder as a fire crackled into life. She unpacked her bed roll and spread it out on the ground. She couldn't help but think about Gurnhart's actions earlier.

Rain watched everyone intently as she took all the gear off of Orlinos, and set it up around the fire Gernhart made. Soon she pulled a leaf out of a pouch at her belt, and put it in her mouth. She started chewing the leaf, savoring the wonderful flaver. It was something that could last her until the supper was ready.
"I'm going to go hunt for some food! Be back soon!" she said, turning to leave...

Constince nodded in responce to what Rain had said, and then said, "Mind if I come with you?" She needed time to think, but she didn't want to be alone.

Rain shook her head.
"I don't mind at all. I'd enjoy the company," she said, and walked off, knowing Constance would follow. It wasn't long before she stopped, and crouched to inspect the dirt.
"We're in luck. A herd of deer had just passed by this way. It seems they were grazing here. You can see places where the grass is matted and they had been laying. Must have fled when they heard Orlinos..."

Constince followed, her footsteps every bit as silent as her horse. She smiled listning to Rain track the deer. Her thought soon turned back to Gurnhart though and the smile faded from her lips.

Legolas returned to the camp shortly after Gernhart, and set down an arm full of wood next to the fire. "We can use this when the flame begins to die down." he murmered. Legolas quickly went to find Sarien and found sitting near a group of small bushes.

The couple sat together contently and waited for Constince and Rain to return.

Eruraina tracked the deer a few miles from camp before her and Constence caught up to them a few miles away. From the hill the two elves would be specks on the the top of a hill in the distance. She looked down the hill to see the herd resting at it's base. Quickly she drew two arrows. Examining the herd, she saw the two weakest. A doe with a slight limp, and an old buck who looked like he was going to be crushed under huge horns. Raising her bow she aimed and fired. Both of the two arrows hit their targets. One hit the doe on the leg so she was unable to stand, and the other hit the buck on the neck, killing him instantly...

Constince watched as Rain knocked two arrow and then loosed them into the hurd. She gasped as the old buck fell and turned away. Beneath her cloak she pressed a hand against her stomach. She took a deep breath, "I'm sorry." She said. "I don't know what's come over me."

Raelyn went over to Gernhart and looked at his hands...she sighed. " what happend?" she asked him, as she exsaminded(sp) his hands.
He jerked his hands away, but Raelyn kept them in her hands. she sighed again. stay here.
Raelyn walked off to find some water and something she could tare for bandages. once she found all she needed she came back and sat next to him. " okay." she took one of his hands and poured the water on them. Gernhart winced. " that hurts!" she said.
Raelyn just gave him a look that said deal with it.
she cleaned his wounds and put the bandages on and then looked at him. " Gernhart..what's wrong and how did you hurt your self like this?" she asked.
Gernhart sighed. " don't worry about it Rae." he said trying to push her away.
" well i'm here when your ready to talk.." she said softly then huged his neck and then went back over to Crandol.

Sarien wrapped her arms around Legolas's middle as she said: "I wonder causes Gernhart to be so distant from Raelyn......It is troubling."

Legolas looked hard at Gernhart before turning back to Sarien and kissing her head softly. "I do not know. But it worries me as much as you, and the rest of the group." he told her.

Rain quickly ran down the hill, and cut the doe's neck, ending it's pain and suffering. She quickly turned her head when she heard Constance. With a sharp sigh, she sprinted over to her, and set a hand on the elf's shoulder. She looked Constance critically up and down.
"Alright... something's wrong. Tell me. And don't say nothing's wrong, 'cause I know better," she said...

when Raelyn went back over to Crandol he smiled sweetly at her. he greeted her with a hug. she smiled but her heart was troubled. she didn't know what was wrong with her best friend. she couldn't figure it out. maybe he couldn't figure out what was wrong with him either.
"is Gernhart ok?" Crandol said intrupting her thoughts.
" wha- oh um yes..i think so..." she paused.." actually no i do think something is wrong...but i don't know what."
Crandol nodded. he thought about what she had just said.
