Lucy's heart skipped a beat when Edward struggled to stand. He looked a mess... "Edward, are you ok?" she asked with worried eyes. "What's wrong?" she asked as she noticed his pale hand pressed against his chest.

Katherine looked over Edward's figure and then bit her lower lip softly. "Okay, I'll be right back." She told him gently and then left the room and headed for the kitchen to make him something.

(Skippin Scene.)
Edward sat at the long white table strangely. He felt and looked awkward, out of place, like a black crayon in a box of jewerly. An eye sore and a perversion of nature as some of the neighbors would have put it.
The plate was set for the young man to eat, but he never took a bite, nor did he move the hands that sat dead in the air, and dangled at his sides.

Lucy stood in the kitchen watching Edward quietly. He was beginning to look more and more not like himself. With her brow frowned, she slowly walked toward the edge of the table near Edward.
"Why don't you eat?" she asked as she folded her arms, not knowing what to do with them.

Katherine stood in the doorway that was put from the kitchen to the dining room. She sighed deeply and leaned against the frame, while watching Lucy talk to Edward. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and then looked down to the ground.

If Peg was here, he know he she would've replied by saying cutely, "Nonsense! Come dear eat." But, she wasn't here no more...and neither was his Angel.

Katherine sighed deeply and looked down to the ground. She didn't know what to do with Edward. She just left the room and went to her bedroom, somewhat sadly. She didn't know how to deal with everything.

Lucy looked down at the food and then back at Edward, "But the food looks really good to eat." She giggled a little, trying to lighten the moment, but then realized it wasn't working.
"Are you thirsty instead?" she asked with curious eyes.
Lucy knew that something was terribly wrong with Edward, but she did not know how to help him. Anxiousness was building up inside of her.....her hands drummed on the table nervously.......she pursed her lips and then licked them...... Finally, she managed to say, "Edward, what is it? What's wrong with you?"

Edward opened to speak, but closed his lips for they trembled. The sad eyes of Edward Scissorhands looked up from his plate after what seemed like a year.
The Inventor looked at his creation and spoke, "Now, Edward. Your eyes are very special. Do you know why?"
The young boy shook his head from side to side.
"Well,.." The Inventor began looking into the black eyes that blinked curiously at him. "Everyone has a pair of silly old eyes, but-" he shot up a finger, "-if you are truely pure in yourself, sometimes, people will see through your eyes. Like a window. Some are cracked and broken, while other's reflect only a beautiful reflection."
Edward's soft, clean face pulled a gentle smile and the Inventor nodded his head towards the boy and smiled back..
And the Inventor said no lie...for those eyes, those special eyes were now looking straight towards Lucy.
Looking into Ed's eyes now, one would only see sorrow and pain. Looking past the curtains and truely into the windows of his eyes, was nothing but a tattered, ruined soul.
"To go back.." he spoke sadly.

Lucy's eyes grew wide with shock, "Go back? Go back to the doctors? NO! You can't go back!"
Little did Lucy realize, Edward only wanted to go back to his mansion on top of the mountain. She placed her hands on her hips and said sternly, "You will stay right here. Those doctors will not hurt you again!"

Katherine was in her room, kneeling at the side of her and Timothy's bed. She had her hands together and her eyes closed. She was praying about anything and everything. Her life felt so empty at that point in time. Timothy was drinking and becoming very abusive to her and Lucy, Edward was back but he was miserable and that made her miserable.

Edward's eyes flinched as Lucy raised her voice, but he tried to push past that.
He cowered back down into his chair. "No. I want to go..home?" he repeated, scared he would be scorned again.

Lucy's eyes narrowed as she focused on Edward's frightened frame. Home? What did that mean? Wasn't this his home? She was so confused and puzzled. What did Edward mean?
And then, like a dream, the voice of grandma Kim came back to her memory.....grandma had talked of where Edward had lived before he ever came to Suberbia....that mansion at the top of the mountain....
With a gasp, Lucy covered her mouth and stared painfully at Edward. Shaking her head, she drew near and stood in front of him, "No....no...I don't want you to go back. Please......" Her voice cracked and a large lump was growing in her throat.
