Bootsrap looked below sadly. What could he do? Maccus was by far the higher rank of a crewmember and by species. Bill could only hope his son would be the one to save Jack Sparrow and the young woman with him.
Jack slid behind the stairs as well. "Will, yer bosom is very warm.." he whispered in a muttered voice, feeling a bead of sweat run down his forehead.
But, Jack soon shutup when Maccus came below. The crewman seemed to be looking for something, almost as if he were observing the ocean, or listening for sounds in the sky. His muscles were sleek and wet from the rain, his teeth clenched hard in thought.

Will ignored Jack and focused on the footsteps of the approaching Maccus. Gripping his sword tighter in this hand, he readied himself to strike.
It only took a second. Will swung the sword over his head with both hands and came crashing down on the head of Maccus, splitting open the top of his shark head.
Breathing hard, he did not wait to see a response from Maccus, but instead began to dash up the stairs, "Come on, Jack! Portia! Let's make a run for it!"

Portia stared wide-eyed at Maccus for a few moments and then started running toward the stairs. "Hurry up, Jack!" She yelled to him and then started quickly following after Will. She didn't want to get bitten in the side by Maccus again.

Maccus layed motionless on the ground. The wound was bleeding, but it was also healing...quickly.
Jack Sparrow jumped over the body of the shark-man and hurried his legs up the slimey stairs, pushing past Will.
"Hurry mates! I want off this bloody ship!"
"Is'a that'a so?" replied a voice.
"Oh bug.ger..." stated Jack as he looked dead in the face of Captain Davey Jones.

Portia's eyes widened, when Jack stood face to face with Davey Jones. She looked over to Will and swallowed hard. She mouthed to him, 'What do we do?'.

However, William did not stop. He was not going to sit here on this cursed ship all his life.....and this was probably their only last chance of escape.
Pushing Portia and Jack aside, Will dashed straight toward Jones and sliced directly across his slimy wet face, cutting off a few tentacles. He then pushed him hard across the deck, "Portia! Jack! Come on!"

Portia's eyes went wide for a few moments and then she shook her head a bit. She quickly did as Will said and then followed after him, not wanting to stay longer than necessary.

Jack grabbed the opportunity, and he ran. Though, later in his life he would be confronted and mocked by those who would remind him that is was he the infamous Jack Sparrow who was always the first to run away from the battle.
High-stepping his way across the slimey deck Jack shouted to Portia and Will, "There up ahead! Jump the rail-AHH!"
Davey Jones had clamped his claw around Jack's leg and tripped him to the deck. "Get'a the doll'a!" the Captain commanded his crewmembers who immediately drew swords and ran after the other two.

Will heard the loud thump and turned quickly, only to find Jack on the deck with Jones' claw clamped onto his leg. "Jack!" he shouted as he began to rush toward him. But as soon as crew members headed toward him and Portia, Will pushed her up the stairs and said, "Climb the ropes! Get to higher ground!"
He followed close behind her, but parried his sword in front him, waiting for any blows that would come his way.

Portia looked slightly frightened and nodded in agreement with Will. "What 'bout Jack, Will?!" She yelled while quickly climbing up the ropes. She didn't want to risk getting caught after making an escape from the cell below.

Jack flipped around and unsheated his cutlass. He lusted himself into a powerful strike, aimed towards Jones' leg. Although, it was parried...by Jones' sword. "Not'a so fast'a Sparr'aw! Stop'a before ya do somethin' ye'll regret'a!"
"What could I regret?" Jack answered back taking another slice towards Davey Jones.
Maccus, more skilled than Portia climbed the ropes after her. Faster than she, for he knew the ropes all too well. He reached up and grabbed her by the hair and hissed, "Goin' somewhere wench?"
He then threw her down to the deck.

Will was angered at himself when he saw Maccus climbing after Portia. How could he have missed seeing him?
As Portia was thrown to the deck, Will readied himself and caught Portia in his arms...however, it did knock his feet out from under him. "Are you all right?" he asked as he set her onto deck gently.
He then stood up rubbing his knees, since they felt like they had hyper-extened a little when he caught Portia. He looked to Jack and shouted, "Come on, Jack!"

Portia slowly stood up on the deck and rubbed her head a little bit. "Yeah, I'm fine..." She said to Will and then glared up to Maccus. She yelled some profanity at him and then looked back to William. She swallowed hard and readied herself to run. Fast.

Jack clenched his jaw and kicked Davey Jones' hard in in the face with the heel of his boot.
Davey Jones' claw released it's grip on Jack's ankle and he staggered back.

Maccus jumped down from the ropes onto the wet deck. "Give it to me Turner!" The shark-man punched Will hard in the face, reached into the coat and snatched the doll.
"Captain!" Maccus shouted, throwing the doll into the air and across the ship.
(Ready to play hot potatoe?)
