Ooo, i'd love to see this movie! It looks very good. I can handle gore pretty well, but it does make me feel a bit squeamish

I just saw it yesterday. My god. Everything was brilliant. First of all, the Faun. You really had to love him. Especially his introduction. And when Ophelia hugged him, that was such an aww moment. Ophelia was really good, too. She looks really young but she's a really great actress. She captured the character of Ophelia really well. What I liked about (well I like a lot about this movie) is that you feel sorry for all the characters, even the captain, whom I initially hated. But at the end when Mercedes takes his son and tells the captain that his son won't even know his name, you really have to feel sorry for him. The visual effects were just great! The Faun, the fairies, the Pale Man, everything. And the music. I really loved the music, especially in the ending music. But great film, absolutely great film.

WOO! I haven't seen an R movie in so long (for those who don't know, I'm 13.). This movie was, in my opinion, absolutely amazingly made and directed. I really enjoyed it, as you can tell.

I saw it for the first time a couple days ago. It was so neat! There's not much for me to say that someone else hasn't already said. I agree with everyone that the faun was awesome. When the movie's called "Pan's Labyrinth," I was expecting something like Mr. Tumnus, and I didn't even connect the thing I saw in the trailers as the faun in the title. And his voice! I loved how it was kind of hoarse and wispy. And when the Pale-faced Man ran after Ofelia and the door closes, I was nearly screaming. (I still don't understand why she ate the grapes in the first place!) I didn't feel sorry for the Captain in the end, epecially the look on his face when Mercedes told him his son wouldn't know his name. And it bugs me that he seemed to be perfectly fine and Mercades stabbed him. They only concentrated on his cheek, but the other two stab wounds had apparently disappeared. Other than that, it was a great movie!

A breathtaking film.

It is currently at 9/10 on my IMDB ratings, but it can change into a 10 when I've seen it on DVD.

Great acting by evryone from the main girl to the evil commander and his pupil. Great acting by Doug Jones also, who devoted a lot of time to get evrything right for the Faun.

The music and cinematography was A level and I think del Toro is a very skilled director.

I saw this film at a friends not long ago...i agree great acting && graphics! But way to Gory for me, such as the part when the man gets his face smashed in - i hid at this point and it's way to sad!! I personally prefer Edward Scissorhands which we watched the same night :-D

It was very boring and way too long for its own good. I would of really prefered to see more of the underworld, and the creepy creatures. The acting wasn't very good as people say it was. The only respite from the boringness was the faun, and we didn't see him walking very much so it was very unbelievable. The gore didn't bother me, and i can't believe ti won any Oscars.

i've seen it twice. it wasn't quite what i thought it would be but i liked it.
there is alot of gore but it was ok. i do wish we got to see more of the fantasy part of it than the war. but in all it's a good movie.

This film deserves all the awards in the world, most definitely the best foreign film I have EVER seen.

Nie: Honey, knowing how sensitive you are, Please trust Mum, when I say I really don't want you to be watching this without my presence, because with me, I'd make sure you turn away at the violent parts and explain to you what's going on (you would probably be listening to me for half of the film). You know I can take a lot of things, Nie---violence and swearing, but this film was as upsetting and graphic as Schindler's List. It is VERY dark.

This has been the first film that I could not stop crying after the credits rolled. It was beautifully filmed, with a great plot, amazing storytelling and very good actors.

The symbolism and the dark fairy-tale parallels were superb, I praise Guillermo for his work and this will continue to be a classic through my generation and my children's generation (though they're not gonna be allowed to see it until they're in their 20's).

Yeah that's what I thought after I saw Schindler's List. I was unconsciously comparing the captain to Amon Goeth.

I did the exact same, Caunion---throughout the entire film I kept thinking Amon, and then when in the special features that Guillermo mentioned the comparison between Vidal and the big bad wolf, I just couldn't help that it also extends to Goeth as well.
