Mai smiled, "Want to tell me where we're going?" She replied, in a voice playfully imitating Tai's.

He smiled slightly back, "We're going to recruit mutants that Raye's seen around."

Raye started to call out, "Isn't a mini-van a bit too-" but Tai had already gone.

He sighed and turned his laptop back on, sending an e-mail to Cassandra, informing her where Tai and he were going and telling her to tell Takeshi and some of the others about it as well. Hopefully she'd have it sent to her immediately, with her 'cyberspecs' as he liked to call them.

He turned his laptop off once again and hid it under his bed, amongst some of his other treasured possessions. He threw the door open once again and locked it behind him, placing the keys into his pocket as he strode down the stairway and searched for a suitable vehicle in HYENA's 'garage' which had a vast choice of transport.

Mari stood up, the tears gone from her eyes. Anger taught in every muscel of her body. Humans, humans were the reason for all of this. Humans were the reason her power had killed that girl, humans had driven her to this accursed dirty, concreate city; miles from the irland she loved. Humans were the reaosn she would be a begger for the rest of her days, danceing in fear that her power wuld emerge. Not any longer.

She brought her hand down sharply and the objects crashed to the floor. Then leaveing her stero on the ground she walked out through the crowd, lifting her arms as the people were thrown backwards, parting like a sea before her, she stepped angrilly between them, her hands twisting in something akin to Indian dance so that a few children flew like spinning tops through the air. Raye turned around to face Tai and noticed Mai.
"Are you sure you want to take her? There's a possibility that something dangerous can occur," he mentioned with a deeply concerned expression.

He then pointed out towards a silver, sleek-styled car in the distance, beneath looming shadows, it had a rather unique style to it, quite steam-lined but with a casual look. It was Raye's personal favourite and he had customized it himself.

"Plus a mini-van would make it seem too Mystery Inc. - don't you think?", Raye grinned as he thought back to his days as a child watching cartoons such as Scooby Doo on Saturday mornings, "This car wouldn't make us stick out that much but we can still go out in style."
Raye was quite fond of vehicles such as cars and trucks, it was just a childhood obsession of his.

Mai nodded, "Of course I do. I want to help if I can." She didn't understand to a full extent what they were doing, but Tai and Raye looked serious about it and she hoped she'd be able to do something. Perhaps she'd come in useful along the way, although she thought she'd be more useful with her visibility under control. Still, having Tai to assist if she really needed it could help, even though she didn't want to have to burden him.

He grabbed his precious car keys from his trouser pocket and clicked for it to open, he strided around the car's front to reach the other side to open the door.

He slided into the driver's seat and started the engine, crudely shouting out towards the two, "Are you coming or not?"

Mai and Tai looked up at Raye's shout and headed towards the immaculate car. Tai slid into the front passenger seat and buckled up and Mai did the same in the back, wondering with earnest where precisely they were going. She felt an odd twang of excitement as the car rumbled to life and Raye pulled off.

Darius had expected the attack and suddenly pushed the guard he had been leeching on in the way, the dagger that Estelle had thrown pierced the guard and killed him. The dart still went onwards and found it`s target, Darius screamed in pain as the dagger hit his shoulder. All tough in his incorporeal form, it was apparent now that it only helped him to become immune to any physical attack, but other forms of attacks might help him. He gazed at the dead guard with a smirk and then at Estelle before materializing his hand and smashing the window.

"Now look what you`ve done!"

He said mockingly before, in his ghost form, plunging out of the window and disappearing into the nearby woods as fast as he could, leaving Estelle alone with two dead, another guard and the passengers of the train. Darius materialized again in the woods and cursed as his shoulder was bleeding, he had lost most of his strength for now yet he required rest in order to regain them. He turned once again into his incorporeal form and then fled trough the woods towards the nearest town outside London where he could hide away.

As Raye made his way down the road, he managed to get into main London without much traffic in the way, which was rather rare nowadays. But then again - the route he took wasn't used that much, seeing as it lead to HYENA which the majority of people avoided.. Raye silently sighed to himself as he pitied the ignorance of humanity.

"I'll park the car at the nearest car park and then we can make our way," he spoke softly to the two.

As they made their destination he moved out of the car and watched as the two did as well. He flipped open the boot and grabbed a fairly large-sized bag and a minute portable computer device and then cautiously closed it - clicking the third button down on his car keys, activating the ultra-sensitive car alarm. He cared for the vehicle too much to risk having it theived.

Mai walked alongside the other two, and waited for one of them to speak. When they did not, she turned curiously to Raye and asked, trying not to sound too dim or rude, "What exactly is our purpose? And what's in the bag?"

Jackie froze suddenly as the realization hit her: when she had been recovering her ticket, there had been something unusual in the air, something in the way the threads had been woven, reacting to a greater disturbance further away. There in the middle of the busy train station, she re-submerged herself in that state of awareness, expanding her senses.

There, a block or two away, the threads of the air currents were parting, as if around a large building, but there was no building there. Screams reached her ears, not audible to anyone else, carried on the winds.

And her train was leaving in fifteen minutes. She'd better run.

A sharp sprint, still towing the suitcase, brought her in view of the source. The Irish dancer, Marianne - who was apparently a mutant. Jackie had never met a mutant before, other than herself, but she knew that the girl had sounded bitter and was in some way responsible for this mayhem. And people were getting hurt.

Propping her suitcase and backpack against a nearby bench, she stepped forward, a hundred meters away from the younger girl, and stretched out her hands, feeling for the colored threads of the air. Closing her eyes helped her to visualize them.

Gusts of wind moved against the people in the street, clearing the area so they wouldn't be affected by the other girl's madness. Simultaneously, Jackie reached for the airborne objects, resisting the forces exerted on them, bringing them under control. A sweat broke on her forehead - it was hard multitasking like this.

"Our purpose if to recruit lone mutants out here, there's been sightings reported to us and we can trace them using this device," Raye explained as he showed Mai his hand-held object, appearing somewhat like a modernized portable television but lacking any noticable aerial, it also had dial-buttons which resembled a keyboard.

"And the bag? You'll just have to wait and see."


Takeshi made his way upstairs and stood in front of Raye's bedroom door. He had seen Raye, Tai and Mai leave the mansion... now was his chance.

He grasped the doorknob and twisted it but it didn't budge. He tranferred his force and weight into his upper part of his body and pushed against the door to check it wasn't just jammed. Raye had locked it.

Of COURSE he locked it, Raye always does, Takeshi thought to himself. He was unable to open it with any of his abilites, they were all mental-oriented. He need someone who could generate kinetic energy to unlock it for him... but who would do it for him without being suspicious? Her.

Cassandra's lesson seemed to almost be at an end so he waited patiently for the class to finish outside the door... he waited patiently for Yumeko.

"Oh, I see." Mai replied, nodding slightly with understanding. It seemed somewhat clearer now. "And we're going to encourage them come with us to the mansion I presume?" She glanced briefly at the bag with hopefully concealed interest and hoped they were only going to 'encourage'.

"We're not going to force them...", he added quietly as he noticed Mai's interest with the bag, "But we have to keep them away from opposing threats."
