Tyler looked at the clock and cursed. He had a minute to get to science. He quickly ran to his locker, grabbed his book and put his gater-aid away, then ran down the hall towards the Science Hall.

Blake sat in the center of the Science room, again reading, waiting for class to begin. It was such a boring class... good thing they had a sub today. A rather dorky looking one at that.

The woman had scribbled her name out on the whiteboard with a blue marker - Mrs. Severna. She was sitting at the center of the room, dressed entirely in plum with a small pair of glasses sitting on the end of her nose. She glared at all of the students, probably wishing she was at home tending to her garden, rather than watching all of these pesky highschoolers.

She then saw Blake and snatched the book out of his hands. "Eww... Tolkien. Maybe you should read something more educational than this... fantasy nonsense."

Blake stood up angrily. "You have no right to insult Tolkien. He was a brilliant writer who inspired many people. I bet you couldn't understand one word of this book."

"Sit down!"

"No! I won't sit down and be told what to read and what not to. You don't control me." By now the rest of the class was silent and watching with interest.

"Detention." She replied, handing him a slip. "After school." Then she threw the book at him and scowled.

Just then, Tyler ran in. He looked around as everyone was staring at Blake but then everyone was staring at him now.

"Oh...hullo, what are all you doing?" Then, as he walked to his desk, he saw a Tolkien book on the floor near Blake's desk. He picked it up and smiled.

"Tolkien?" He said, flipping threw the page. "I love this book. The Silmarillion I think is better, because I am a fan of Elves, but a great book choice. Only a terribly stupid idiot would not read books by such a author. Good choice, mate." Tyler said, handing the book back to Tyler and sitting down at the desk in front of him.

Sandra sighed as she knew she would be late to class...again. this was the one class that had most of her sibs in it. she was about 5 mins late. she opend the door and walked over to her desk not even looking at the sub. she opend her sience book and looked around.

Edward quickly walked in handing the teacher the note. It was not his problem that he had signed up for teacher aid and just happen to be suck with this teacher. The teacher gave him papers to organize. He just happen to look up to see his sister and brother. Great, I have to deal with them he thought.

Addison was driving her black Honda Civic to her office. She was the CEO of a Publishing company and always worked hard. She parked her car in the staff parking lot and walked in. There was a flurry of activity. Editor's, writer's, and loads of other people were hurrying around trying to get to their deadlines in order. Addison walked to her office and her assistant hurried in.
"You have a meeting with the Head Editor, at 9 and a lunch meeting." The small mousy woman said.
"Thank you Joanne. Tell Harry I'll be there." Addison said. She ruffled through some files and started to work at signing documents and reading through summarys of books.

At 9 AM, Addison went down to the conference room where a burly man was waiting for her.
"Hello." He smiled, Addison smiled in return and sat down. They started going over the month's reports.

thye teacher walked over to tyler and handed him a slip for detention. " now sit down!" she yelled and then went over to the white bored and started teaching the class.

Edward relized that he must not be need today. He finsih up the work and slipped out the door. So his off period had not be wasted. He pulled out his cell phone. Quickly dialing his mom's number. He waited for her to pick up.

Addison finished her meeting and headed back to her office. She had loads of work to be done by the end of the day. Plus, she still had to get home and make dinner. Addison rubbed her temples and started the long, tedious work.
