ARRRRGH. Okay, say they're happily ever after. He came back after 10 years at the end. END OF STORY. Can we not have a sequel. No good can come of it.

Especially if there is going to be a kid involved. I'd have been all up for a sequel if all our characters were a) alive b) mortal c) available.

As it is, it looks like any sequel will be set 10 years later..... I don't want to see an older Jack. I want a sequel that is now.

Ooh, what's your ending? :) I go with the CotBP one. Except, Lizzy has a son! :D

My ending is one of two things.

Will doesn't get stabbed. Norrington didn't die. He went with Lizzie to help them. Norrie is fighting Davy Jones and he get's stabbed and is dying. Lizzie, feeling guilty for being angry at him, and sorry for him, snatches the heart from Jack so Norrie stabs it instead. Norrie is redeemed, and he is happy to do the task he is given as it means that is he still a man of the sea, and he is doing something worth while. Jack is a bit upset at losing his chance for immortality and he sets about after the Fountain of Youth. Lizzie and Will are with Barbossa on the Black Pearl - we are unsure whether they too are going to search for the Founatin with Barbossa or are just hitching a lift home. Will is happy because his dad his technically free, and he is under the command of a good man. Will and Elizabeth look at each other as they sail away, and we know they are going to be all right.

My other ending is pretty similar, expect Norrington doesn't get injured in the battle with Jones, it is Bootstrap. Jack does the right thing and actually offers the heart to Will. The same thing happens with the ending. But Norrington stays with the remains of the Nayv men, and we presume he will go back to join the Navy, now he has redeemed himself, and the Navy is once again Beckett-free.

Lol.. in Gimli's perfect world!! ;-)

Anyway, just wanted to comment on Will's curse. I can't believe it would be so 'easy'... that if Elisabeth stayed true to Will for ten years the curse would be lifted... "The Flying Dutchman must always have a captain". There's gotta be someone to farry the souls...

I don't see why not. I think it would be interesting to see a film where a married couple can still be cool. I think it could be a lot of fun.

They could have something happen inbetween. I don't see why Elizabeth couldn't see Will while he was on the boat (or in a bucket of water like Davy Jones. Ha!).

Also, ten years wouldn't make Jack any different. ;) Especially if he found the fountain of youth.

I really hope there's a 4th! I want it to go one forever.
:-D

*sigh* I know. And you could still have the emotional punch, because someone would get injured protecting one of our heros - Norrington protecting Elizabeth and Bootstrap protecting Will. Simple really.

I could have written a better ending for a 10th of the money they must have earned. I'd it for free to just meet the cast. :swoon:

Yes, I agree with you. Who would take his place? It seems a bit too... I don't know... coincidental to me, that there is a way out of this storyline we find ourselves in.

@ FRODOFAN - Well as to Elizabeth seeing Will, we believe this can't happen, as Will is on "the other side" doing his job, and until he has done his job for at least 10 years, he can't travel to this side. And Lizzie isn't going to go all the way to world's end again, just to say hi. That's what we think it means anyway.

It's not so easy, considering that Elizabeth is Elizabeth. :) But I like to think that she would stay true to him. And not go off with Jack. Or Norrington. Oh wait. He's dead.

Couldn't Will just make some one else captain? Do you have to stab the heart to become captain?

Oh, and I like your version of AWE, JF! All happy endings make me happy! :-D

I think she will stay true. But as to having to stab the heart of the Captain to take his place... that's what we have been told so... but it is Pirates so they could so anything really.

Thanks! :D

Ah. That does make more sense. It would also account for her only having one kid.

I believe that was meant for me. :-)
Davy Jones was cursed as well and didn't just get away with ten years of serving on the Dutchman... yeah, I know his case was slightly different, but it'd still be too easy if Will could do with ten years!

Anyway, someone asked you yesterday whether you never sleep? You've been posting constantly in this thread since the movie came out!!
(Ohh and you write in "antiguewhite"... how sophisticated!! :-))

And the ending with the seperated couple and, as Frodofan said, the open ending does hint a new adventure to find Aqua de Vita(e?). :P

And TheThain, perhaps that was the lousy reason to kill off Norington.. to reduce the temptations for poor Elisabeth.... *grumbles*

@ FRODOFAN - Yes, and the fact said child seems to be about 10... which is about the right age from when the deed took place. :teehee:

@ Ea - Aye, it 'twas me heartie. :pirate:

That's my thinking as well. But if they can find a way to bring Babby and Jack back to life.... it seems they can do anything they want. :eyeroll:

LOL! Yes, I know. I do sleep (believe it or not) I just tend to get lucky, and I'm here when other people are posting. Last night I was gone for 3 hours and 6 pages had been posted. :swoon: I had a hard time catching up with all those! Hah, you noticed! It was really to match my sig. :-)

I think the ending definitely hints there's going to be another film. For me, it wasn't a satisfactory conclusion for any of the characters. Jack hasn't got his ship (again) and both he and Barbossa are setting out on another adventure. That ending screams out "we'll be back!".

Ohh yeah all this people coming back to life again... when is death even certain *rols eyes* But I guess it is okay, after all they did play on the grey zone between this world and beyond ever since the first movie! :P

Well, being the non-Willabeth fangirl, I actually like the ending more and more... beautiful sunset - and not cheesyly romantic!
I believe it must be liek that for Jack and Barbossa. Jack started out with nothing and ends up with nothing. That's why the concluding quote fits so well:
Jack: Take what you can!
Mr. Gibbs: Give nothing back!

Funny, I've quoted you multiple times now and I just noticed the font... I'm still convinced you must have changed it at some point... from another white-ish to this white-ish!

Lol, indeed..... hey... maybe they can find a way to bring Norrie back!! *squee*

Well I'm not a Willabeth fangirl either.... I think it was just the fact that nothing will be the same again. Ok... I know things won't actually be the same.... but the fact that the characters aren't all mortal humans, or together as they should be.

It's hard to put my finger on really. I'm hoping to go and see it again, so maybe I can explain it better when my brain is refeshed. :P

Muhuahuauwahu....honest... I've had this font colour since I changed my banner, last week sometime. :-)

I like your first ending, JF. It's a good idea. :)

Yes, that could be why. Most of the characters who were killed off were killed so Will or Elizabeth could develop more fully. Which makes me mad. :explode:

I know...
I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was annoyed that we only found out that if you stabbed Davy's heart you had to replace it with your heart. Was I?
I mean, it was like, you've been under the impression of one thing, and then half way into AWE you hear, "Oh, BTW, whoever stabs the heart must become the captain". That was annoying.
