Kess wrote: Woooooooooow!!! I'm so glad I didn't have to work this evening, cos that was a stunning episode! Yes, it was very similar to Sunshine, but I loved that movie, so it didn't matter It was the nittygritty sci-fi I love so much with lots of screaming and running and tank tops And it was very cool that they did it in real time. And I actually liked the Martha/Doc love in that ep, it was really heart wrenching.*is in serious DW hype mode*
Holy turbo, Batman! That was an intense episode. Real time...I can only sort of handle in 24. XD This was just insane!
Can I just say, the music was great?! XD Okay, I'm a total music nerd, and considering I own the soundtrack...*cough* What I liked about it (it being the music) was that it was music from "Impossible Planet/Satan Pit" and the music from "Smith & Jones." Really heart pounding and as Kess put it, sci fi-ish. The good sci-fi. XD Wow, the fact that I know the music from each episode makes me feel REALLY nerdy.
But, screaming, sweaty Doctor. TOTALLY hot. By the way, LOVED his new outfit. Now THAT was hot. But, really interesting episode, not just oogling over the Doctor. Martha was great too! But, the fact that she's running around in heels (or at least I think she is) bothers me.
I loved the fact that the Doctor admitted to being scared. I found that really grounding and refreshing. Really good.
NEXT week though. HURRAY!

Woah! get me the season now. Was he being tortured? I know I shouldn't be a whump fan, but I can't help it. Come here Doctor and give me a big hug!
I had a crazy Doctor Who dream. I was at a theater, but I don't remember why. I think I was a crew member. I was painting...but that's not really important. What's important that I noticed that the walls were turning into bugs (maggots) I ran outside and I saw the Doctor! He told me that he had to go do somthing, but he would be back to save me (for some reason, the bugs were really bad. I was waiting for a ,ong time and started to get scared, but around the corner come the Doctor in a bumper car! I sat right next to him and we drove off, and were saved. Of course, my bloody alarm clock chose that time to go off and I woke up, so I never finished the dream (I really want to know what would have happended, if you catch my drift ) But it was a very vivid dream. I was really deep in sleep, so I remember it a lot.

Hey... has the new season started yet? I haven't seen it on SciFi. Maybe I am looking on the wrong day...

@Nauriel: Tortured...ummm...well...in some ways yes. I can't really explain it to you without spoiling it. Let's just say, the Doctor was in a LOT of pain. Poor guy.
But you had a DOCTOR DREAM?! *is insanely jealous - but not really* XD That sounds like such a fun dream! XD I've had one once. It involved the Doctor and Martha. I can't really remember much except that I was helping save the day with him...and then Martha marched over and started making out with him. Which, wasn't cool at all. But I got the feeling he didn't enjoy it much. Or at least that's what I told myself in my dream...
And Wandering Darkness, in the States, Doctor Who has NOT aired yet. It comes back to Sci Fi in JULY. What the exact date is in July, I'm not to sure on. The Sci Fi website might have a date soon...but, I'm not sure. I'M watching it via tiny streaming video screen that isn't always the best quality. Why? Because I won't be around a tele come July. *tear*

I was just wondering because in one of the season trailers he was most definatley shackled and screaming. I really shouldn't be grinning as I write this. You should see me now. I'm giggling like a lunatic. My mind is totally messed up, but right now I don't really care. I just wanted my handcuffed Doctor.
Oh, and is the pain physical or emotional. If he were screaming from emotional pain, that would be very hot.

Well, I'm wondering what scene you saw. Because...well, there's the one when he's in the TARDIS. With the thing strapped to his head...and if I'm not mistaken, THAT'S for THIS week's episode.
The one I'm talking about is when he's in an orange space suit.
The fact that he says he's scared, probably has an element of emotional torture....XD But, I'd say it's more...physical. Internal though. Sooo...yeah.
It's kinda hard to watch actually. Really sad. For obvious reasons though, he lives through it. XD

I genuinley thought he was going to die then. I know they only tend to regenerate in finales, but but I was really worried, and I don't think I've ever been like that before in DW.
Doctor Who dreams eh? I've had two I remember. One was in a big spaceship filled with computers, which me and the Doctor were trying to divert its course, but then it got hijacked by Veela, who kidnapped me and tried to convert me. The other one was me and the doctor travelling, until I got appendictitus and had to go to Seatle Grace hospital (the one in Greys anatomy) for an operation. Not the least bit random at all
Managed to bribe my mum to let me off grounding for one night, so I'll be allowed to watch DW tonight!

Oh wow. Orange space suit pain is the best! I don't quite remember what he was wearing. I'll go check in the Doctor who thread archive!
Okay..this preview, about 38 seconds in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h-cKtW8OQk
He devinatley is hooked up by the head, and it looks like it could be in the TARDIS. And he's not wearing a orange spacesuit. But by god he's in pain.
I really want to see this season now. Do we ever find out the reason for the Doctor's amnesia? (The part where he says somthing like "I'm not the Doctor"?) Or has that episode even come out yet?
EDIT: I looked up the trailer on Youtube (The ep is Human Nature, right?) The poor Doctor! He's really getting it from that head set, isn't he. Oooo! I just had a thought that might sound totally insane. It seemed like in the trailer he didn't know he was the Doctor. Maybe that head set was downloading all his Doctor info into his head! That or he's playing his music too loudly.

Hurray for Kess being ungrounded for a night! And yay for her powers of persuasion! I was actually quite worried for you not being able to see it. That would've been tragic!
But, I agree with you Kess! I too was genuinely scared for the Doctor's well-being! Even though I KNEW he wasn't going to die/regenerate...I was just so worried. I mean, when he was trying to tell Martha about his regeneration ability, I was kind of freaked out that something was going to happen.
Yeah, so the TARDIS ... torture ... is in this week's episode.
I stumbled upon, by great fortune, a slip up by the BBC. Ha ha ha. I've shown it to Kess, thinking she'd need the cheering up.
It's a bit spoilery...considering it's the Doctor Who Confidential for this week's episode. XD It explains a bit...and ... well, David waltzing is just wonderful.
So, you are WARNED. If you don't want any spoilers.

I saw about the first 45 seconds of that, and then my suspiscions that the head device was related to his amnesia was confirmed, and then I stopped because I didn't want to watch anymore.
I really want Doctor Who now. Before today the feeling was just sorta "La de da, can't wait for Doctor Who, oh look, a marshmallow!" But now with all the whumping and pain and previews....its more like "Give me the Doctor now, or suffer!"

Yep, that episode explains the amnesia thing. And the whumping. It was actually a really good idea for an episode, though it was a wee bit more grown up than usual and a lot less cheesy. But I still enjoyed it, even though it was almost completley ruined by that woman. She wasn't even pretty! And he baerly knew her! And it was incredibly rude when you can see Martha is hopelessly in love with him! This is worse than Reinette!!!! *fumes*

Emo Doctor rocks my socks!
You know what? I realized that DT has teeth just like my dads...that could get a bit awkard.
What?
Geek = <3
I need new Doctor banners. Where's my tongue one?
Did any of you see Pirates AWE? Jack licked a lot of stuff, and it reminded me of the Doctor.

You have the tounge banner again!! *drools* And yes, I saw AWE, and thought exactly the same thing! Though to be honest I wasn't watching it too intenetly, I was much too busy arguing with my friends who are old fashioned boring Willabeth shippers
Hmmm... You now have me stuck choosing which one is hotter- emo doctor or geek doctor...

By the way, where did you get that picture on your first banner, Kess? I really like it.
