Intrigues me as well. And I've heard that exact thing said by many of my guy friends. But the truth is, you guys are just as confusing to us girls as we are to you. If that made any sense.

*sigh* I searched through half the thread Darrell and could not find the prom pics. And no, I am not stalking you.

By the way, I just wanted to say that I miss these types of conversations. Ones that aren't centred around school, weather, etc. It's a nice change.

Well, I guess something that is obvious to me is 'feminine logic'. Living in a house with my mother and two sisters, I see this quite often, especially from mum. Essentially, it is going about things in the most illogical manner possible. Can't think of an exact example off the top of my head, but there have been several occasions when both me and my father have looked at each other with confused/amused expressions, quite failing to understand the reasoning behind a particular decision. Given that both he and I could see straight off a better way of doing things. Normally the same way, one which would take less time and effort.

But that is just one general thing. It wasn't what I had in mind when I made that post. It was more to do with the strange things girls do when 'interacting' with the opposite sex. I cannot for the life of me fathom out most of the things girls do. And the things they say. (again, can't really put an exact reference in) I'm just struggling to comprehend what a certain girls' actions mean at the moment. (which meant this has been brought to the forefront of my mind)

Hmmm...the things girls do, and say. Like over-exaggerated and bubbly? Or overly sensitive?

I dunno, I wouldn't say that I'm puzzled by guys...I just "chuckle" at their greetings. "Dude, what's up?" *hand-grasp, pull together, manly hug and a couple slaps on the back*

I think it has to do with how both genders deal with their insecurity. From my experience, guys tend to become more "manly" and arrogant [but correct me if I'm wrong], and girls gossip and build little walls called cliques. But of course they can do many other things. That is just what I see most commonly at public high school. If they're insanely giggling, it just might not be because they've heard something hysterically funny. And most often, if a girl has a problem with someone else, instead of going to that person and working things out, she'll tell her four best friends about that person, and over-exaggerate it. She feels more secure by having all of her friends "on her side."

It's true. Girls like to build "comfort zones" around themselves. It cushions any hard blows that may come our way. Plus, it's nice having people around who agree with you. Even guys are like that I'm sure. We giggle and we gossip, but deep down we're really just trying to show you how we feel. Sounds a bit messed up I know, but believe me that's how it usually is.

But, the one thing I can't stand that girls do, is when they stand in groups and whisper to eachother when you're out of ear shot. You don't know if they're talking about you or someone else. Ugh.

I dunno, I think sometimes girls want more than anything for people to not know how they're really feeling.

A second thing about girls is that they're really good at covering their feelings up. I think that's why they're so confusing. And "moody" [however, sometimes girls have genuine reasons for being that way ].

You think so? I've always seen it the opposite way Gwen! But, I can see where your coming from. We try hard to hide our feeligns yet our giggling and gossiping are the things that usually give them away, aye? Hmm.. I see now.

As I said, moody isn't even the beginning of it. Advice for our gentlemen: don't try to analyse a girls feelings. They change in the blink of an eye.

A tad bit too late for me. I just simply gave up my fancy. Shouldn't be troubled about wistful loves for a while. Unless a girl just suddenly walks in my life....oh well.

I completely agree. Like for this one friend i have. I though i knew her, but tthen just as quick as an eye, i have no clue who she is anymore *or it may be that i have amnesia!*

I think they're exciting! They can be confusing and irritating, but I think they're beautiful, because they can be so real. It'd be boring without emotions. They can hurt us really, really badly, but then we would never feel pure joy without them.

A quite profound way of putting it Gwen. However, I do agree with Tel, emotions seem to weigh life down so much. They've been pressing down upon me, heavier and heavier, for a couple of years now. But there are rare occasions when emotions seem to cause a flight of sudden, uncomparable happiness. And in those moments, it seems like all the struggle has been worth it. But those moments are far to rare...

Well, honestly Darrell, an emotionless life would be rather bland. I mean, we might not even be here talking about this if it weren't for emotion. Because the love of LOTR wouldn't even exsist so this forum would be completely unknown to us, for instance.
Emotion is a wonderful thing, it allows us to feel and think, and honestly emotion is and this ability to think is what separates us from bieng just animals.
