Stimpy and I thought we'd give our old Heroes RP another chance but with a fresh clean start. Those of you who participated in the old RP may reprise your characters if you wish but feel absolutely free to make a new one!

This RP is loosely based on the TV show 'Heroes'. Ordinary people gaining extraordinary abilities.

P L O T L I N E
An un-named agency has uncovered genetic anomalies within humans giving them unique special abilities. More people around the world are waking up and discovering these gifts and the Agency wants them for unknown reasons. This Agency has names of many people with these gifts on a computerized data list. Everyone on that list is being tracked and on occasions been abducted to experiment on. How these individuals handle there new powers and the people out to use them is up to the person. For good or for evil. A secondary force is lurking on the outskirts, fascinated and inspired by the people with developing gifts. Who is he and what does he want?

Power: Ability to remember and retain all information she reads, sees and hears.
Personality: Honest, trustworthy and reliable. Enjoys life and loves her job and her friends.
Bio: Kaisa was an unremarkable child and was "Academically Challenged" as her parents would call it. Dropping out of High School, much to the anger of her parents, Kaisa persued her one real love, comic books and comic art. A gifted artist, though modest about her talents, Kaisa found herself working a part-time job at Five Star Comics in New York. It was low pay, but she loved it and worked there whenever she could, immersing herself in comics and books. Now living on her own, Kaisa lives life to the fullest.

In the past 6 months, Kaisa has noticed her memory improving gradually. Remebering the smallest of details. Able to add up totals without the use of a calculator or cash register. Memorising comics in precise order and location. The manager of the store, so impressed with this he gave her a full time job as assistant manager.

Power: Live forever. Will always heal, never get sick, never grow old and will never die. Physically, she will stay the age of 18 forever.
Personality: Open-minded, carefree, independent, diplomatic
Bio: Dropped out of high school at the age of 17 due to lack of interest in the academic world. Lived with her parents until the fateful day some 6 months ago when her parents were killed (along with 33 other people) in a highway pileup which she miraculously survived without a scratch. Broke and homeless she thought it'd be the end of her when fate intervened again and she stood as the sole heir to a multi million dollar fortune a great aunt had left behind. Has since the highway accident noticed that her body has an incredible ability to heal.

Personality: Soft-spoken and demure she appears to be aloof. She says little, preferring to let her actions speak for her. She also possesses a strong-will, a trait that allowed her to withstand the misery of her past. However, she is fiercely loyal to friends, willing to lay down her life to save theirs.
Bio: Born into a well to do family, she lived a relatively stable life until her parents were brutally murdered when she was 16. Angered by their violent deaths, her powers were revealed when she harnessed lightning to strike down the perpetrator. Ever since then she has been on the run, working at different jobs when she can get them.

Occupation: Professor at Yale University (also a Linguist/Archeologist)
Power: Electromagnetism
Personality: Smart and thoughtful, Trystan tries to learn as much as he can about everything. He can seem quite eccentric at times to people who don't know him well.
Bio: Trystan grew up in a small town in rural North Dakota. He graduated valedictorian of his class at the age of 17 (He started school a year early) and went on to attend Yale University, the same college at which he now teaches. He wasn't top of his class at Yale, but he was close, always within the top five. Trystan has PhD's in Archaeology and Philology (the study of linguistic change over time). He fluently speaks 7 languages (other than English), which are: Ancient Egyptian, German, Russian, Spanish, Latin, Ancient Babylonian, and Aztec . He also knows bits and pieces of 5 other languages which he is currently working on improving (Norse Runes, Ancient Mayan, Mandarin Chinese, Phoenician, and Greek). He currently teaches Archaeology at Yale University, but during the summer months, he performs real archeological work. Trystan discovered his electromagnetism power only a few months ago and regards it as an item of idle curiosity, nothing more.

Clarification:
Yes, I know. I suppose that I should have said that I was using 'fluent' liberally in those cases to mean that he has learned all that he can/studied all textes that he can get his hands on about the ancient languages, not that he can easily speak/read most every word in that language that he comes across. As for the not very fluent ones, that means that he knows the basic alphabet and some of the sounds of the letters, but very few.

Sorry for the confusion, that was just kinda in my head and didn't make it out into the post. So the languages he can really speak 'fluently' are English, German, Russian, Spanish, and Latin; and the ones that he know bits and peices of (more than the ancient languages) are Mandarin Chinese and Greek.

Great bio The~Doctor, but about the language situation... it seems kind of unnatural to be able to master that many languages fluently as well as have knowledge of even more. I don't think there is any human being who would be able to do that. It seems almost like a superhuman ability and you already have another power for your character. I don't have a problem with your character being knowledgeable in languages, it's just that 23 are a tad too many perhaps?

And you may call me Eru if you want (a lot shorter and easier to type lol)
