The Doctor didn't want to answer because if he did, he would have retorted that if she continued acting like she was sorry for everything she did in her life, he would. Instead, he crept behind some crates. motioning her to do the same.

Terri nodded and followed the Doctor. Sure he didn't answer, but that was ok. All her life she was told how she should always say sorry. "Common curtisy." Her mom would sat, so she always made sure if something wasn't pleased she would say sorry, or even for ideas that wouldn't work. But resently she had been trying to stop being sorry all the time.

"Oh dear," the Doctor remarked with a hint of disgust. He had just saw a Tarshian. He was deathly pale and thin with numerous battle tattoos and scars over his body. His face had no visible nose or ears but his mouth was open, revealing several rows of jagged teeth. His long hand had sharp black nails and an eye in each of its palms. Every so often, he would raise both hands and look around him before moving on.
"I don't think he knows we're here yet," the Doctor whispered to himself after a minute. "But we should be quick."

Terri had seen the look on the Doctors face and knew it wasn't good. Making sure she didn't say a word she nodded, even if the Doctor didn't see. Quietly she took his hand as if to give him support, she smiled nervously.

(I've been gone for awhile...My fault, I've been lazy. Sorry for leaving you hanging, NQA (Nice name change, by the way) Now lets get some Jack_Roe lovin'!)

Jack followed Roe up the stairs, careful to keep just far enough behind so he could view her wonderful rear....He was about to finish that thought when the sudden realization that Roe was in everybody's mind played through his head. It was one thing to let people know what you you were thinking. It was quite another to actuall be unable to control thier knowlege. He almost muttered an appology, but that fact that she might not have "heard him" and the other fact that he was, well, Jack, and these things didn't bug stayed his voice.

Roe continued on obliviose to his thoughts. What she hadn't told him was that she wasn't in his head constantly, and even if she was; out of respect she'd only rigged his mind so that any thoughts directed at her in 'speech' would reach her. Of course she could hear him all the time if she so wished, but that required energy, high concentration and was above all; simply not done amoung her tribe at least. She had 'bugged' his mind so that if he had any thoughts of killing her she'd know; but that was just paranoir.

So unknowing of his thoughts she turned round and said. "Are you sure you don't want to go in front?"

"Well the generators should be on a lower floor, so we need to either find a lift or the stairs." A few minits later she came to the stairs and bent right over ( ) she dipped her fingers in some black blood and straightened up, looking at the dark sticky trail that led down the stairs, faint screams came from below.

"Maybe we should go by lift" she pushed a button and the doors slid open. She stepped into the tiny space. It was much smaller than a normal lift, obviousely ment only for three people at most, and even then it would be squashed.
